Cafe Elka in Brighton and Hove

Probably Nice for someone else ... but not for me. I had a bacon sandwich and a cup of tea at GBP 13.00. I waited a long time. The bread was toasted (not my preference). On the other hand the cafe was nice, the staff were polite and friendly and the quality of ingredients was good - smoked European bacon was very tasty, but the whole thing was too far from the traditional for me.

Great place to have brunch and coffee ,food is delicious,stuff are friendly and atmosphere is fantastic. I highly recommend it

I ordered a coffee and bacon sandwich, the coffee came swiftly, but the sandwich, after 20 mins I asked when sandwich would be coming, it arrived. The café was not busy. The staff just didn't bother. At £14, for this meagre meal was not good value.

Perfect vibe, caring staff and obviously responsible management, clean. Rose and pistachio muffin particularly delicious. Highly recommended.

Wow! What a find. Such a pleasant surprise to walk into the lovely decor and ambiance of this cafe. Unobtrusive music played in the background to add to the relaxing atmosphere. We had the most delicious toasted tuna sandwiches shared salad and fries. The staff were just lovely and made the whole experience one of our best. We'll be back! 1
