An absolute gem! We popped in for lunch on a visit to Auchterarder and so glad we did. Beautifully decorated, bustling, cosy atmosphere and excellent staff. My husband had the soup and sandwich which was simple but perfect. The soup seasoning was spot on and the ham sandwich made with excellent quality ingredients. I had the unusual sounding chicken and banana on a baked potato. Glad I took the plunge as it was beautifully spiced, similar to a coronation chicken and served on a generous baked potato. We felt so welcome during our visit and the service was top notch, despite how busy the place was. A huge thank you to the team and we'll definitely return next time we're in the area!

Made a special autumn trip to Cafe Kisa for coffee and cake. It’s been a while and the old Cafe Kisa we once knew is now a fabulous new Cafe Kisa restaurant and coffee venue, same street, just across the road. Beautiful venue, excellent staff, warming tasty coffee, yummiest scones ever. Wish we were staying for lunch, though it is always best to book. Having mobility issues I always dread, often fear, having to visit the special access facilities. Hallelujah, stunning, great care and consideration has been given to visitors to this facility, thank you. My husband managed to climb the stairs to the toilets and his comment was - amazing. Worth the climb. Cafe Kisa is such a great asset to this lovely village, lucky locals. We hope to visit again soon as the food we saw being served was truly mouthwatering.

It's been a while since I was in Auchterarder when after a hill walk a call for fish and chips was required. However this visit was northbound early Saturday afternoon. The main street still looks prosperous. We found Kasi whilst on a stroll on the High Street. It is a cafe/ bistro with a modern take in decoration. The staff are very friendly and attentive with a mix of experience. We ordered tea for two, sandwiches and two traybakes (millionaires shortcake and a flies graveyard). It was all delicious and well presented. The toilets are upstairs and they are wonderful too.

Popped in for a cup of tea and cake. Good selection and very quick service. They also have a full menu, and they're open all day and evening so no "will we get there before they close" anxiety. It's a lovely space and great food; our only slight niggle was that it's quite noisy (both the music and the kids at other tables). But it's clearly a focus of the community and very popular! We'll definitely be back.

Great service, attentive staff, great food and a decent £££ We arrived and were taken to a nice spot in the restaurant. While waiting for our party to join us, staff asked if we'd like a drink while we wait. Really quick service after ordering, throughout our meal, we were asked if everything was okay. I would definitely recommend Kisa's in Auchterarder.

We stopped for a drink outside on our way home from a dog walk and ended up staying for some food. My husband is a very fussy vegetarian, doesn’t like pasta, rice, meat substitute burgers….the list is endless😱but they were very accommodating and adapted their fajitas to miss out the chicken and give him lots of yummy vegetables, miss out the mushrooms by the way🫣….sooo fussy!

Not a lot of options for vegetarians for light lunches. The only soup on offer was lentil with a ham stock base. Quite expensive for what is on offer. Diverted to Auchterarder for a break from a long journey on the A9 and what a gem of a place this is! Its rare to find this sort of quality cafe nowadays and Cafe Kisa is obviously a very popular location place to meet for a meal or afternoon tea. Luckily there was a table free but if you plan to visit for any length of time on a Saturday it's probably best to reserve. There's an extensive food and drinks menu. The coffee, tea and cakes we had were excellent. Also great service and tables and floor were kept continously clean while we were there. Toilets were also spotless. Did not park opposite but in the main car park a short stroll away. It was free and despite being a peak season Saturday there were free spaces.

We have eaten here numerous times. So this review is based on several visits over the past couple of years. Lunches have never disappointed us, they are done well and are very good, however, since the move to provide an evening meal service standards have slipped. Constant upselling from waiting staff is annoying. An example being, my kids ordered 'luxury hot chocolate ' at £5.... Asked if they would like cream and some marshmallows, now what kid is going to refuse that? So, the 'luxury' hot chocolate ended up being £8 each. A personal favourite of mine, on any menu, is a fish pie, so I gave it a go here. Truly disappointing. The fish consisted mostly of cubes of rubbery smoked haddock, prepacked frozen is my guess, along with one prawn and one piece of salmon. The difference in quality from a fish pie served at The Ship Inn at Broughty Ferry or the Achray House is night and day. We've now been three times for the evening meal and each time it's just not been up to the standards I'd expect for the price. I'm not alone with this sentiment, I've spoken with several others who feel the same....great for lunch, avoid for dinner.

Popped in for a late breakfast while out for a run on my motorcycle with my wife, we both had the large breakfast which was just fab, you get toast/jam, fruit juice and tea/coffee all included, since my wife doesn't drink tea they gave her a larger glass of fresh orange juice instead. Lovely fresh breakfast of sausage, bacon, egg and black pudding with some beans, potato scone and tomato, just the right amount that makes you fully satisfied without eating too much and feeling overly full. The service was excellent, and the decor and atmosphere are equally as good. Will definitely return the next time we are passing Auchterarder - thanks for a lovely time. Nick and Pauline x

We"ve previously eaten lunch at Cafe Kisa in Auchterarder and it was good - slightly different menu items and efficient friendly staff. This time, we were in transit but the experience was very different. We had booked for 6pm. Menu was very ordinary this time and the one thing we both wanted, Haddock & Chips, was not available in either breaded or battered form. Starters arrived about 6.30pm. - Having informed the waitress when we ordered that I had an allergy to capers, I saw some green bits in my dip and asked what it was. Incredibly, the response was that the allergy had only been noted against the main course!! My husband had mussels, some of which had not opened, therefore he did not eat them, and some of which were empty. - then we waited and waited, with mains arriving at about 715pm following a reminder - "would you like something else?" - "our main courses please" - "oh..you're waiting for your main course". - my husband's main course was Calzone - it had some very hard unidentifiable inedible bits in it and he did not finish the meal - my main course was a fish pie which was very salty (smoked fish not pre soaked?) and had 3 mussels on top. I didn't finish my main course either. So having spent far too much time on a poor meal we resumed our journey. 90 miles and an hour and a half later, on remote Dava Moor, my husband became very unwell and we had to stop. Without going into the horrible detail, the on board toilet roll was very useful and mussels were identifiable. I was better but had a nasty toilet moment when we got home an hour later. The restaurant requested feedback and this was given. To date, no acknowledgement has been received and there is no evidence that the matter has been treated with the seriousness it justifies. All in all a terrible experience not to be repeated.

Very tidy and clean place. Friendly staff. I personally wasn't really impressed by the coffee. It was just not the kind of blend I like. For me the blend is too weak but some people might like their coffee with little coffee flavour. I had the Mexican panini and was a bit disappointed when it arrived. The chicken was wonderfully flavoured with the perfect amount of spice but unfortunately it was very dry and could have done with more sauce of some kind it also was really badly presented. The only thing that looked very pretty and presentable was the salad that came with it. I will give it another shot but with another dish and really hope that the chef just had a bad day that day.

We have eaten here before on quite a few occasions over the years. You forget just how good the experience is. You remember individual courses, or chat, or a wine, but you do forget just what a huge amount of effort is put into the full evening by the whole team. The front of house staff are just as good as the chefs working behind the scenes, and that takes a lot to live up to. It is, quite simply, exceptional.
