Cafe Rouge in Central Bedfordshire

The service here was absolutely shocking. Our waitress was very rude, not welcoming in the slightest. We complained at the end of the meal due to our food being cold and very poor. The bacon was not cooked neither was the egg and the toast had obviously been left to sit due to it being hard. The waitress stormed off whilst we complained didn’t apologise once. She was extremely moody and it was a very uncomfortable situation. I would never go back to Cafe Rouge, I expected the service and food to be very good due to it being at Center Parcs. I would never recommend.

Waiting staff were friendly. My meal was okay but bland and very 'thrown on the plate'. Pricey for what it was. Also why are we forced to have vegan mayonnaise in this restaurant? When I asked I was told that egg mayonnaise isn't available (despite it being available at other restaurants onsite). I can't see vegans being happy if they were told only egg mayonnaise was available!

6 of us for dinner, sent back 3 cold soups to start with. 2 steaks ordered, first didn’t come with rocket as per order, another medium rare was blackened! They brought a replacement which was as bad. Awful meal. Slow service although pleasant staff. If here eat in sports cafe, they get you the food in under 90 mins

We visited twice during our stay. Once for lunch, mussels to die for, once for dinner, beef bourginon was lovely and my friend loved the sea bass. Excellent food and really good attentive service, our waitress was wonderful, wish I’d got her name! She was a slightly older lady with blonde hair and black rimmed glasses, she was great and served us both times. Only deducting a star because unfortunately, one family with young children allowed them to run around other tables in the restaurant screaming. The restaurant wasn’t busy so would’ve expected a manager or other member of staff to have had a quiet word with the parents and/or grandparents as four adults present. However couldn’t fault the food or service. Excellent

As per my heading. food was not good, and extremely expensive. the staff were overwhlemed and had no proper supervision and support.

We have been waiting for 30 min for our order to be taken. Then another hour to have our Ceaser salad brought which obviously was not worth waiting that long. We will never visit this place again, the most terrible dining experience so far in Woburn Forest.

My god the service was slow. We’ve been here 1 hour and 13 minutes and our starter has not arrived yet. It’s not exactly busy, but most of the the empty tables have not been cleared while we were here. We have been sat next to a cloth and a bottle of cleaning fluid all night. Considering leaving, except our table was held with a deposit

The cafe Rouge has a good wide range of foods that make it easier to cope with different preferences when eating in a large group. Staff cheerful and efficient.

We had brunch midweek and it was so nice, we returned for lunch on our check out day. They were very short staffed. But the cfood and the customer service was still excellent. The staff working on Friday 7th Jan 2022 deserve a pat on the back.

9 of us called here Thursday 6/1/2022 for drinks in the afternoon. It wasnt busy at all when we arrived. we stood for ages before anyone approached us and shown us to a table. We ordered and when the drinks eventually came, there was no spoons for the hot drinks or any sugars. The cocktail came with no straw. Wasnt impressed with the place overall and will not go again

Our first visit and definitely our last. My steak was lukewarm, as was the peppercorn sauce served with it. It felt limit had sat whilst they prepared the rest of the order. I’ve paid half as much for a steak cooked twice as well. The portions were more like kids portions about a table spoon of mash and 1 fine bean and a couple of small pieces of carrot, served in separate bowls on a wooden platter, so had to ask for another plate.

Cafe Rouge had always been a place we would call to for a meal whilst out shopping in town, and so we thought that we would book an evening meal at the restaurant on this site. All I can say is poor! poor! Our meals arrived after a half-hour wait although the cafe was virtually empty. To add insult to injury we found ourselves sending it back because it was cold. I can only assume that the food was then microwaved before being returned. The meals here are not cheap and they were certainly not to standard. As an ex caterer had I have aloud this standard then I am sure my job would not have lasted very long.

Fabulous afternoon tea with the family. Delicous food and so much! Fantastic value for money. Charlotte our waitress was excellent.

We had an early meal due to the toddlers in our party. Waiter was very pleasant and helpful. Meal was excellent, something for everyone.

Food was tasty & served hot, good selection to choose from. option to sit outside on the terrace in good weather. waiting staff friendly & helpful.

We had a lovely meal at Cafe Rouge and woud go back for another, probably during our next stay in 2022.

A good choice of food clean areas play space for bored youngster lovely atmosphere can get noisy around 5-- 6 pm

I went for breakfast on Saturday & was served by Rebecca who was fantastic with my child’s allergies, very helpful & food was great. Would recommend to anyone.

Excellent value and quality afternoon tea for two and Sunday lunch the following day. Excellent staff lovely food, and not too busy even on the Sunday - but we did pre book.
