Fantastic choice of the Music that played at the right level so that it keeps you festive but also take part in conversation.Food was like homemade from the burgers to the snitchel. The cocktails made with care from the bartenders and this made it taste even better. Great restaurant.

I recently dined at Browns and would say that the food is over priced and poor quality. Everything was under seasoned and the roast potatoes were under cooked which is surprising as this was mentioned in other reviews, obviously the management are not paying attention to these posts when negative. I had the £25 blade of beef which first came out with no sauce, when I asked the waitress she just brought out standard bland gravy. The red cabbage and sprout shavings were again bland and I only got a tablespoon worth. The side of cauliflower cheese, was also flavourless. I will not be going back as I can get a Michelin recognised gastro pub for the same price.

Food is below average, very much so. The pork roast was sent back once and even the second time it was poor with the addition of undercooked, hard potatoes! 😂 The burger was overcooked and dry. On the other hand, the lady serving us was lovely…she deserves to be somewhere serving much better food!

The people and atmosphere of the restaurant itself were warm and friendly, but unfortunately, the food was unremarkable, especially for the price. Portions were small, and the quality of the food itself was not above an average pub.

This was the first time that we've been in this establishment (not being from around these parts). Because it was Christmas Eve it was chock-a-block but we found a table, service was good and the food my partner had was, in her words, very nice. We will have to go back next year, when it's a little quieter to give it a fairer appraisal.

My family all met up for lunch at Browns yesterday we were looked after by Sarah and Lily who did an amazing job in looking after us as a mother/daughter team they were very attentive and great with our children we all had a lovely afternoon

Got served by Kieran T who certainly knew his job and was very efficient throughout our visit. We ordered Chateaubriand which was cooked to perfection but rather small considering the price. The plate was filled with French fries and onion rings so surely for the price paid a side salad could be fitted in this dish.

A lovely meal and great service. There was live music. Vegetarian roast was fantastic.

I visited this restaurant with a group of friends for a birthday dinner. Sadly there is not much good to write about this visit The service was exceptionally slow, waiting 25 mins just to be asked what drink we would like and the restaurant was nearly empty. My meal was a vegetarian curry and I'm only too pleased that I asked for chicken to be served with it as the curry wasn't very tasty, watery and the only saving grace was the rice. This would not have been a satisfying meal on its own. I really didn't want a dessert after this and nor my dining companions (unusual for us). The music was far too loud to conduct a conversation across the table. A nice touch was bringing the birthday girl a complimentary dessert with 'Happy Birthday' iced on the plate. Our second waitress was charming ..the first was terrible and was taken off service for our table. This experience was a shame as when the restaurant first opened, both the food and service were so much better and I had been there happily a couple of times. I won't be returning and nor my group of friends. It's a pity as we are always out for dinner and Brown's, being local, would have been a good choice for return visits

Kieran was absolutely a fantastic host. Really enjoyed our food and the ambience.

My wife took me out for an anniversary dinner. We just had a main and dessert which was great. The thing that raised it above the norm was the staff. Our waiter was Giancarlo A+ to him.

DRINKS OVERPRICED AND THEY’RE WATERED DOWN. I went here for my cousins birthday and the service at the bar was poor I ordered a double brandy (which the brandy was Courvoisier XO) and a cranberry and that came up to £20.10p something like that which is more expensive than Central London not sure how that works and the drink was watered down and did not hit me at all. I’m a lightweight so should have at least felt something, food was standard as they have a set menu 3 course meal for £32. Don’t recommend

Exceptional dining experience with incredibly delicious food. The menu features a great selection of dishes alongside numerous vegetarian. The staff overall are incredibly attentive. Big shout out, to our waitress Sarah who was friendly and helpful,ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Sarah was super efficient and nice, so thank you 😊 The interior is very beautifully decorated, adding to the overall charm of the restaurant. It is advisable to reserve a table in advance , so as not to be disappointed.

First time at new Browns. Exciting! Well that excitement didn’t last long. Took us to the far side of the restaurant which was completely empty apart from one other table. Noticed it didn’t look that much different from harvester. Sat down and it was freezing. Asked the waitress to put some heating on. She said ‘I’ll ask my manger’ not so sure if it got turned on as I had my coat over my legs. Waitress was sweet but obviously not had any training. Ordered our food - only one choice for me as a vegan - asparagus and sweet potato curry. Sounds nice - came out and it was a huge pile of green beans with 3 pieces of sweet potato in very watery curry. Told the waitress and she said she would change it which she did. My friend asked the reason it wasn’t what it said on the menu. She said the chef made a mistake! The manager came over - not greatly helpful but offered to take off the bill. Only half of it was taken off!! My friends’ dinners were ‘ok’ chicken and chips and steak and chips. - small portions and no skilled required. No atmosphere as completely empty even though my friend that booked it had received an email saying ‘ do not be late otherwise we will give yr table away’!! Will not be returning unless changes are made. So after saying I’d never come back, I came in a Sunday and I gave to say, the vegan roast was absolutely delicious!!!! Went today again - AWFUL! Roast potatoes were just boiled; nut loaf was pile of undercooked mush; then to top it all, waitress gave me meat gravy which I poured all over my dinner! Wait staff were excellent though 👍🏻

We were seen straight away and shown to our table. When the waitress came to take our drinks order, I asked if we could move. It was an high bar like table and my feel dangled! Christine, our waitress went to check if there was another table and moved us very quickly. All our meals were really tasty! Christine was very attentive and made our evening by being there when we needed her and left us be when we didn’t. A really lovely evening. Thank you Christine!

This was my first visit to Browns Ruislip and I had a great time. The service was impeccable and we were treated like VIPs by Sarah & Lily. One of us was gluten free and again this was not a problem, they made sure we were happy with everything. I would definitely recommend this for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner and will definitely be coming back.

My husband and I recently moved to the area and Browns is now our local. We’ve been here breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. We’ve been served twice by Florida who is incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and drinks and gives out helpful recommendations. Florida also is great at making us feel so at home when we visit Browns Ruislip that we always come thanks to her friendly attitude. We had a lovely dinner today so thank you Florida. My husband enjoys his meals from the seafood risotto and I love the steak and fries dishes. The crème brûlée, brownie and sticky toffee pudding are lush! Highly recommend those. We plan to bring our families over be that we’ve tried a few dishes.

I made a booking for a birthday dinner for 28 people and every part of the process was brilliant! While booking for a big group Kieran was super helpful with a few dietary requirements and special requests. He made the process easy and quick. The actual dinner was perfect. Seleka was amazing, super helpful and lovely and made it all really special. So were the rest of the staff! The food was all delicious and everyone loved it. They also put our cake on a plate and added candles and some decoration which made it even more special. We will definitely be returning! Thank you to the whole team for making it so lovely :)

Lovely restaurant with lovely staff. I took my partner here for her birthday and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. Food was amazing and so was the service, especially from Christine who was very bubbly happy and making us laugh every time she came over. Would definitely recommend.

We stopped off here on our way home from Ruislip, When we walked in we thought oops this is posher than harvester, its going to be expensive. We had not reserved a table and it looked busy but still they found us a table regardless. The food really was nice, we had starter, main and dessert and all three could not be faulted. The tables are nice with cloth napkins and glasses. The service was excellent and the food was quick to be served. To be fair their prices are not far away from Harvester prices unless you are buying steak. The drink was steep, I had a 330ml of Kai IPA and that cost over £6. However that was the only thing I would say was negative, greatly outweighed by the positives. Would highly recommend and hope to go back again.

1st time at Brown's, lovely place 6 of us had lunch.. Would recommend going.

We have been several times now for breakfast, lunch and also afternoon tea. The food was decent each time. The traditional breakfast and steak/eggs were especially good. The afternoon tea was likewise very nice with everything you would expect at an excellent price point. The a la carte menu is where we were disappointed though. The food was OK but we felt it was overpriced for what it was on the whole. The best dish was the fish and chips which was excellent and one of the cheaper dishes. I would recommend the lunch menu mon-fri if you want a meal that isn't breakfast or afternoon tea, as it's much better value overall than the a la carte. Service was, however, impeccable everytime we went and our waiters couldn't be topped for friendliness on each occasion. Service charge was well deserved 👏
