Cafe Royal in Warwick

By far my favourite cafe in Leamington! Aléas such a vibrant atmosphere and the food is so tasty with plenty of gluten free and vegetation options! Love it.

Everytime we visit Leamington Spa we always pop in for brunch as the food is delicious! It's a real hidden gem in the town centre and worth a visit

Been going here for a few years now and it never disappoints. Great fresh food, welcoming friendly staff, efficient service and great value for money, i try and pop in whenever I am in lovely Leamington !

Had an excellent gluten free breakfast and was served by the friendly and helpful staff. Excellent all round.

Surprise visit to this cafe and they really did NOT disappoint us. They serve delicious Chicken Panini, also had a croissant with hot chocolate and mocha!! Amazing vintage ambience, very busy on the weekends, quick service and a must visit 10/10

My daughter and her partner took me for breakfast, as they had raved about it for so long to me. As I live up north and work in hospitality and was only visiting .. I can honestly say …. Nice ambience, Breakfast cooked to perfection, quality produce, attentive staff, lovely warm surroundings. Wish I lived closer but looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommended. 10+

This café has quite a spacious and warm interior with table service. We visited just after 9 o’clock in the morning and enjoyed two flat whites which were good quality. They cost £6.90.

The food was delivered quickly and tastes very good. I’ve ordered from this place a lot and kind of disappointed they decreased the portions by a lot.

Food was good but was missing the coffee I ordered. Don’t expect to be compensated by Just Eats either cause of lack of evidence so that was £3,50 down the drain

I found this place cosy yet tucked away on the corner just off the parade. Staff were amazing and the food was delicious, especially the eggs royale. I can’t stop thinking about it…will be returning.

I booked a table for my dad's birthday. We arrived and there was already a queue outside (showing the popularity), luckily because I booked they ensured we got our table quickly. The decor was lovely, staff polite and the menu looked amazing! We all ordered from the breakfast menu, American Breakfast, Smashed Avocado and halloumi and the Full English. The food was out in a decent amount of time and was so fresh! The Pancakes were obviously homemade, immediately becoming above the rest, and the eggs were cooked to perfection. My parents and I were so impressed with the food! What topped it off was the staffs attentiveness, my mum started to cough and a member of staff Sadha (SP?) without being asked, brought over a glass of water for her. I have never had a member of staff so quick to do something like that without needing to be asked! I am so appreciative of that initiative and care shown! Thank you Sadha! All staff were amazing though! Would 100% recommend!

Incredibly good coffee nothing like the cheap ones from starbucks and cafe nero they have proper coffee from Puerto rico. The chef special even better all fresh ingredients! Staff are very welcoming !

This was a nice busy cafe when I visited, there were a lot of locals using it which is always a good sign. There was a good breakfast menu. The full English was served promptly by pleasant staff and was tasty. It had a god vibe and the place was clean.

The first time eating at this lovely cafe after walking by it a dozen times or so . Very pleased I did! The staff is friendly, efficient, and accommodating. Food was delicious and has a lot of vegetarian choices. My teenage son had an English breakfast and my Gosh was it plentiful ! We both had smoothies too which were creamy and amazing! I see why the reviews are good here! Lovely cafe in heart of town!

I stopped by for coffee and breakfast as this cafe has good reviews. The ambience was pleasant, and the coffee was good. However, the service left a lot to be desired, and the food was disappointing. As others have said, it was overpriced for what it was. The mushrooms were inedible, basically microwaved in some oil. Nobody asked why I couldn't eat them or offered an alternative. The waiter was unpleasant, he asked if I wanted condiments; I said I wanted black pepper, and he didn't bother to come back to me. I probably won't return. There are better places to eat in Leamington.

Visited for the first time and was very impressed. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious, I had the eggs benedict with 2 hash browns and a pot of tea (all for £15). The eggs were perfect and the hollandaise was spot on. Will go back.

A lovely cafe on a side street in Leamington, friendly staff and delicious food. Himself had the big breakfast, I had the avocado breakfast.

Lovely busy cafe and with great food. It’s in a good location and plenty of options to choose from on their menu.

Stopped here in the Sunday bank holiday in August and it was really busy which was a good sign. My partner ordered the avocado breakfast with halloumi and they could not fault their meal. I had the American pancakes and unfortunately the bacon was slightly undercook almost raw and the fried eggs were cooked solid - wasn’t asked how I wanted them. Service on the whole was fine though the one who took our order seemed quite sullen and bored.

My partner & I had a celebratory birthday cream tea yesterday. It was a joy to have leaf tea ☕ & warm scones. Highly recommended. A lovely experience.

I visited this cafe for a friend's surprise birthday breakfast/brunch. It's obvious it is popular because it was full at 10am, so you should call ahead to book a table. The restaurant is not huge, and the staff do an excellent job navigating carrying food/drinks with customers (like me) getting in the way. They are GF-friendly with lots of options, and I enjoyed a breakfast I wouldn't normally make for myself at home. Simply titled (on their menu) as Gluten free salmon. It was 2 poached eggs, breakfast muffin, hollandaise and salmon. They cooked the poached eggs perfectly which gives them 5 stars alone!! My breakfast was delicious and cost me just under £14 including a latte. The coffee was nice, and smooth and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to others. Or to return myself. It's worth noting there is free two hour parking scattered around Leamington Spa, so you can park nearly by for free (for two hours) and walk to the cafe (takes about 6-8 minutes). The two hours is enough if you're just having a meal with family, and don't plan to sit for ages and chat away putting the world to rights. If you're meeting friends, and like to talk you'll want to park somewhere that offers longer.

Good staff & service, great range of food and drinks. Been here a few times, but I've never had a problem we'll worth a visit.

This is a lovely cafe in Warwick Street, Leamington Spa. Shabby chic in decor, it was buzzing, a great atmosphere. Why would you go to ‘chain’ cafes when you have small independents like Cafe Royal. Customers of all ages enjoying the simple but delicious food reasonably priced. The staff were attentive and on the ball. Highly recommended.

Found this great little spot whilst away for work. Amazing Avo on sourdough and poached eggs with top quality coffee. Service and atmosphere brilliant. We got there just after opening on a Saturday and was already busy and buzzing a sure sign of a good place 👌🏻 very good and highly recommended.

This is a real gem of a cafe which is a great find for my Coeliac wife who found the Gluten Free breakfast fantastic. I loved the variety of breakfasts available and went for the very reasonably priced Avocado Breakfast...Superb The decor is very modern and fresh and the staff lovely

Really glad we found this cafe for our breakfast, I had the Mexican Eggs Benedict and my partner had a full English. So tasty! Nice chilled vibe, staff all very friendly and welcoming, and the food came out very quickly as well. Would definitely come back.

Great service. We've dined in and got delivery, on both types the food has been great. Highly recommend. My partner is celiac also and they do great gluten free food for her too.

The omelet was great. The service was quick and kind the only thing missing was more drink options apart from that it was all delicious

Excellent place to eat. I picked this place randomly and I'm so glad I did. I picked it because I seen it looked nice on the inside. The food was really good, it was full of flavour and it wasn't oily. The drinks were perfect so that's a double winner. We tend to go to a lot of places to try them out and this is one of the good ones. We will defentely go back here when we're next in the area. The kitchen is right behind the till but it's not smelly or loud. I would say this business cares about their food and not just about making the most profit. Sounds obvious but a lot of places use cheap ingredients and don't make it well. This place does it right.

I had a full English breakfast on late May bank holiday morning. Great, attentive and friendly staff and very relaxing atmosphere. Good food.

We went for brunch during the weekend and it was so busy!! Lots of people waiting in queue and it was worth it because the food was yummy. Waiting time wasn’t too long either. Great atmosphere and fab service. Would definitely come again :)

Saturday morning breakfast with the Mrs. We were in town for the weekend. We had a short list of two places for breakfast. When we were walking past here, we saw it was busy so decided to eat here. Server was brilliant and service was fast. The breakfast was so good. Will be back for breakfast on our next trip

Had a great Sunday breakfast, friendly service, and food was excellent. I had eggs royal with avocado on sourdough. Leamington is quiet on a Sunday morning, so lots of parking is available nearby.

Fantastic spot to grab a bite and a coffee. Very friendly and professional staff to assist you. Definitely recommend for a visit. The American breakfast went down a treat.

Best breakfast in the area! Full English is great although I believe the portion have been reduced, would pay extra to get a fuller “plate” like before.

We had Avodaco breakfast and Full English. Avocado was fresh, but only a half in a big plate. Most of the rest was from can or frozen: beans, tomatoes, fruits in the smoothies. We could not even be sure hashbrown, mushrooms or meat were fresh. This may be fine for some customers, for us it was not. The honest solution would be simple: list fresh ingredients on the menu.

Amazing cafe located in town centre. Went for breakfast on a Sunday morning, very popular spot but managed to get table for four. Staff very friendly and very prompt service. Breakfast very well prepared and plenty of it for the price. Tasted great. Would definitely return.

Lovely cafe would highly recommend when coming to Leamington! Don’t be fooled - the staff don’t wear uniform so can get quite confusing lol We had a cappucino, vanilla iced coffee and a teacake. Definitely order the teacake!

Overall we enjoyed our visit to Café Royal. The tables are small and it was a bit cramped. The service was excellent and the staff were always prompt in taking our order and clearing the table. The food was decent, however they forgot the bacon on the full English and the yolks on our fried eggs were rock solid. Apart from that we can’t complain as we thought the prices were very reasonable. We would definitely come back.

I've left 5x previously but it's now Starting to change for the worse, things like sausages being deep fried, no longer using free range eggs which is the reason we go, I understand they are busy but there is a reason why and that is things like free range eggs. How busy the cafe is there definitely making enough money to buy better quality why cut costs to make a few more pence and loose customers.

Called in for an early lunch on recommendation - what a fabulous bistro. Warm and friendly greeting, great atmosphere, lovely coffee and absolutely gorgeous dishes - the smashed aubergine with halloumi on sourdough was first class - looking forward to returning again soon.

My breakfast arrived and was cold and burnt sausage and bacon eggs weren't cook enough had to cook them again

toast was cooked in a heated argument by the looks of it, weren’t buttered when i put in the notes for it to be buttered !!! other than that was a decent breakfast, was it worth 11.90? not at all. would only order from here again if my usual breakfast cafe was closed and i was super desperate for a fry up! delivery time was nice and quick and breakfast was hot which is always a good thing!

Visited here a couple of times. The food, drinks & service is always exemplary. This time I had the vegetarian festive panini & a chai latte & WOW. The halloumi paired with cranberry sauce, stuffing & parsnip purée was to die for. The chai latte is one of my favourites here. Can’t recommend this place enough! 🫶🏻

Young obnoxious chap got my order wrong then proceeded to blame myself and say if I wanted it rectified it was going to cost me extra, due to the fact they were busy. Will not be coming back here again. Shame as I liked this place before.

Been seated promptly upon arrival. Within 5 minutes , ourselves and a couple from another table were asked to move as there was a table reserved for larger group. We were asked by two waitresses independently for the drink orders. Someone else was also asked twice the same thing, very chaotic. American breakfast had very dry pancake. My wife got full English with undercooked (not cooked at all actually) mushrooms and peeled tomato straight from a 30p can. Very average.

We'd been here before and previously had a good experience (good atmosphere and staff but food quality was just OK for the price (canned tomatoes etc)) but this time I noticed that the toast I had with the full English breakfast had avocado smeared along some of its sides. There was no avocado in any of what we ordered so can only assume it was recycled toast from someone else's plate or poor food standards in the kitchen. I'm intolerant to avocado but several attempts to get the staff's attention failed due to how busy it was at the time. Won't be going back again unfortunately.

I have been here a few times with great food and service each time. Brilliant for breakfast, lunch and just coffee too. There's a lot of coffee ships in Leamington and this one is a favourite and it's consistently great.

Nice place with a good selection of food. I had a lovely chicken and pesto sandwich with a coffee.

Visited for lunch when on a day trip to Leamington Spa and heard that Cafe Royal was one of the best cafes there. Huge selection of food available, fast service, delicious meals and fantastic value for money! Highly recommend the paninis and chips! We will visit again when we’re in the area!
