Cafe Sol-e-Mio in Haringey

I have been coming here almost daily for years. I always have either cheese on toast or toast and marmalade. Sometimes during lunch I have chips

here with friends who were visiting the garden center .... the staff were a little lost as we were told "take your seats and we will bring the menu and take your order" the menu arrived but no one came to take the order .. it seems you have to go to the counter to order .. not table service. So why say it ... we ordered pizza and toast sandwiches. And portion of chips .. all arrived in about 10 minutes.. the food was fine the chips were good but we had to ask for knives and forks ..altho the knives were teally blunt....the coffee was luke warm as was the tea our friends had & we had to send it back to get it warmed up and the drinks were in takeaway paper cups ? .. no reason was given when we asked why there were no ordinary cups .... the cakes look nice but at £3.50 for a small slice that's a bit heavy.... but all in all they need to get the table service bit sorted ... have hotter drinks but the waitress gets 10 out of 10 . We regularly visit Sol-e-Mio for our coffee and food. The Garlic bread pizza with extra cheese is to die for and so are the various cakes and other snacks. Absolutely the best service. Staff friendly and helpful and currently covid safety in place and adhered to. 👍👍👍

Disfruto de cada ocasión que tengo, con excelentes estándares de café, pasteles y periódicos gratuitos. El ambiente familiar italiano es como polvo de oro; muy raro y extremadamente amigable!

La ubicación está rodeada de hermosas plantas (dentro del Summerhill Garden Center). El personal siempre es amable, sus deliciosos pasteles son siempre frescos y deliciosos. Nada es demasiado para ellos. Inténtelo, pensándolo bien, no quiero, ya que no quiero que muchos compartan mi cafetería secreta desde casa hasta casa.

My husband and I had a late breakfast here a couple of days ago. We were served by a very polite and friendly server, who went out of her way to make suggestions for us. I had mushrooms and scrambled egg, brown toast and a large salad. Any reservations I had about salad for breakfast disappeared when I tasted it. The dressing was delicious and the plate was generously filled with food. My husband had a BLT with a side of crisps. Very tasty. With hot drinks the bill came to a little under £16, quite expensive but a lot of food, so come hungry!

This was my local swimming pool in the 1950s. Just revisited to find that it is a gem of a beautiful Garden Centre. Clean bright, well laid out, good signage. Healthy plants, amazing BBQ and furniture selection and gifts. the restaurant was n additional gem to find. Clean airy with efficient staff and clean toilets. All well worth your time and a relaxing visit
