Nice place to meet and have some food with staff helpful and friendly

The only good thing about this place is the coffee. The place is filthy, dirty cutlery, disgusting floor, the seating banquettes were ingrained with crumbs and food debris. Food very very poor and because of the dirty surroundings we did not enjoy the experience.

A lovely place, staff and food great Toilets were a bit of a let down when I went. One out of order with water all over the floor...but would definitely go back

Stopped in for tea and cake. Caffè Italia does a decent brand of tea bag. Cake was very nice, homemade. Blackberry and Apple. Would stop in again next time I am in Banstead.

Popped in by chance this Sunday for breakfast and coffee, very busy and a table appeared within seconds for us. Great coffee and lovely food, I asked to amend a Wrap Item to become a toasted pannini and no problem. Will come back again, parking outside for 1 hour free

We were lucky enough to go to the first of Cafe Italia's Jazz nights. We had seen the incredible Graham Russells Sextet before and knew we would be in for a wonderful night. It was a sell out with wonderful atmosphere, Rosetta had everything so well organised, efficient staff, lovely platters of tapas available and the music was of Ronnie Scotts standard but in a lovely convenient local setting. We cannot thank everyone enough for arranging such a memorable night and we look forward to receiving notification of the next Jazz night at Cafe Italia Laura

Beautiful and friendly restaurant My go to restaurant from now on due to the lovely experience I've had from the team. The restaurant has a creative and unique decor creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The food is great comfort food, ranging from English to Italian, you'll have a lot to choose from. I'd highly recommend coming in here for a coffee/drink, small bite or a family meal.

Visited on Saturday morning for breakfast 😍 amazing food!! English breakfast was delicious and the place was very busy yet the team managed to get us seated outside in the beautiful sunshine. English breakfast 10/10 Veg Brrakfast 10/10 Cappuccino 10/10 Hot chocolate 3/10 definitely needs a switch up. Overall great experience. Defo recommend it.

Latte and hot chocolate was lukewarm and cakes we ordered never reached our table. Not great at all. Shame as I would love to support local businesses rather than big corporations.

Won a voucher for Caffe Italia that they kindly donated at a charity do. We had an amazing full English Breakfast here this morning the chef got everything on point especially my poached eggs, 👌 definitely be coming in more, lovely and clean and a great service to started my day off nicely xx

Went to a 40th. Really nice venue.

Met a friend for a drink. Opening hours say open till 7pm. They had a private party after closing but we were VERY rudely TOLD NOT ASKED to leave at 6:45pm. We still had drinks. If you have a private function on it should start well after the closing time surely?? Will not be going here again, the woman was SO rude!!

I attended a Dj Eddie night here. Always sold out packed with males and females more like 20 men to 130 women all out for good night and dancing!! Cafe Italia staff were extremely professional and very helpful too,Security was tight too. All in all awesome night had by all!!

Never ever again! 4.75 £ for a tiny and dry carrot cake! This place is a disaster! Premium prices but not willing to provide premium service. I went inside to ask for a white wine and already mentioned that I like a piece of carrot cake. She gave me the menu an that was it. I like to mention that I am currently are on crutches! So l sat outside for at least 15 minutes, l should have just left. But by the time l eventually would have arrived at Chai’s cafe they would have been probably shut. So l decided to go inside to order. Another 10minutes went, no oder. Then she finally turned up with the most ridiculous tiny slice of carrot cake, the wine was cold, not really chilled. After she brought me the bill 15.50 £ (!!!) l patiently asked her to double check the bill( how on earth can that be 15£?) . A waist of time and money. I hope for the local community that in one of those empty shops a decent wine bar or restaurant will open up. 👎🏻

We went to this cafe on the off chance and we were met with very good service, great food and in nicely decorated and airy space. We will definitely go there again.

Visited today... it was wasn't busy when we arrived. Myself and my husband sat there for 10 with no acknowledgement that we were even there. We left and still no acknowledgement. Won't be visiting again.....

Good food at reasonable prices. There is no rushing you, which makes it a relaxed atmosphere.

Disappointed with this establishment. Food order took more time than expected to arrive. Service was perfunctory. Carbonara was cold on top, no flavour. Garlic bread, cold. Fries were just warm. Panini was totally unremarkable. Beer, well that was not cold enough.

I stopped here for cream tea. The scone was fine, but the service was indifferent and nearly surly. The tea was served in a cup, not a small pot and the extra hot water I requested was promised but never brought to me. My plate was collected the instant I took my last bite of the scone. And I was freezing because the server, inexplicably, opened the front door wide, on a cold overcast day, letting in cold wind while she started noisily moving chairs and sweeping the floor (no, it was not busy but it wasn't closing time either.) With so many options for tea and cake on the High Street, I'll try another next time.

Had an excellent Full English with a great tasting latte. Others in our group enjoyed eggs royale. Staff did well with the customers but seemed a little stressed behind the scenes. Overall a good experience, would recommend and I look forward to returning.

Had breakfast here today, food was fantastic and so was the service. There was a slight error with a drink order, however this was not an issue and dealt with incredibly quickly and smoothly. Really enjoyed my experience here and would recommend 100%

This is a lovely place to spend some time. Staff and customers really friendly. They open the doors up during warmer weather, quite a bit of seating outside. I have only had drinks here, hot chocolate, flat white and a pot of quality loose leaf tea. The cakes look very sweet though but the whole menu has been extended and looks more appealing. Very popular with children and parties.

Visited the Caffè last Sunday with my family for a Sunday brunch. The choice of food and drinks was excellent and I personally had fried eggs on toast which was delicious. Service and atmosphere was very good and if you're in Banstead it's well worth a visit. Will definitely be returning

Below average overpriced food in a beautiful interior! Absolute disappointment.. Other than the Pistachio Croissant everything would get a 1 star. Including the service. So, we ordered Vegetarian full English breakfast in an Italian Cafe!!!! Hmmm 🤔 wondering why? You can see the menu! The beans tasted like the store bought basic beans, your usual bloomer, 2 eggs with chopped up mushrooms, couple of grilled tomato slices and undercooked haloumi cheese for £10.95 You’d do yourself a favour buying some pancakes from your local Co-op and add some maple syrup on them. In the menu they mention other fruits which I didn’t want, so naturally you’d expect to be compensated with more strawberries… if this is compensated amount, I wonder what would be the regular amount! Head over to my other reviews of pancakes you’d know what I mean! Juice was ok so was the coffee. Pistachio Croissant was very good! Oh did mention the unfriendly staff? They knew neither their food nor their service was upto minimum standards so they didn’t even bother asking “if everything was ok?” There are plenty of other restaurants on the high street, you’ll much better option, experience and quality of food along with the ambiance.

The food in here is usually lovely, fresh and homemade but really disappointing to order a pancake stack for over £8 and have 3 tiny supermarket pancakes cold with a tiny bit of fruit and no Nutella as per the description! This was a huge let down! Why not homemade and warm?!

Staff is very friendly, polite and attentive. Dishes and drinks are tasty. I would encourage more sauce hollandaise on the eggs royale, slice of tomato with few green leaves and some avocado. Eggs were perfectly poached.

In past had a great meal, but today one had full English, which was average, mushroom greasy, bacon over cooked and only one sausage, the other meal was smashed avocado with chillis on toast. No chillies in the avocado, two slices of toast but only avocado on one slice. Staff friendly and restaurant clean, won’t be rushing back, shame as we really liked it in the past.

Really great venue for lunch. The food was amazing, the staff work tirelessly to create a great customer experience. Despite being full we really didn't wait long to be seen or to receive our food and drinks.

If going my car, then finding a parking spot might be problematic depending on when you are going. Overall though very good place.

Just been into Caffe Italia. Lovely venue clean and tidy, very good service. Had scrambled eggs on toast and crispy bacon, my husband had the full English and both were super. Would certainly recommend a visit.

Al fresco visit. Tables slightly too close for my liking. Waiter was friendly and fast. Coffee tasted good. Food ordered was a panini, fry up and jacket potato. All cooked well. Toilets clean enough.

Highlight of COVID walks was the one from Purley to Banstead and back which is just under 3 hrs. The vegetarian panini cooked with fresh roasted vegetables and fresh avocado was the highlight. It was made with love and passion for good food. Please go try it
