A woman from the staff was just awful, closes at 8, I was planing on leaving before that, but she come to me at 7:48 saying “we close now” me: okay I am leaving in 2 min (needed to pick up my laptop and stuff) she reply: we are close NOW you need to leave NOW. I agree on leaving chill.. no need for that treatment, I worked at Starbucks for years I know how it is, you are supposed to serve until 8 and then have time to do the closing, not kick people out by 7:50. She had blond hair with pink, everybody else was nice but I felt threatened, awful

Lovely place nice staff and upstairs too great price

Been here a few times prior to concerts at the MEN arena/phones 4 u arena/AO arena etc. Always seem to be good

The baristas are great and were very helpful and friendly. The coffee tastes amazing too. We had the pistachio iced latte and the hot one too.

The staff are too busy talking to each other to serve you. The whole place is filthy. The windows are dirty, the toilets are disgusting. The staff are so busy talking to each other the tables are not cleared and are filthy. Value for money for coffee is criminal, and it’s not even hot. Avoid!

Love little cafe with great jazz music playing over speakers. It was not very big, but the food was nice as were the staff.

Their customer service used to be top notch but unfortunately it has gone down. I have visited them thrice recently and two specific guys and extremely rude. Would definitely want this changed

Great location, and if you sit upstairs, good views from the windows. Friendly and efficient service. We enjoyed our visit. Located just outside the Arndale Centre.

It's fine. The staff aren't exactly the most effervescent lol but they do their duties well. Ngl there is no real atmosphere to speak of, but the place is generally clean and tidy etc, so. It does the job okay.

Incorrect interpretation of our order, adding cream and other extras we didn't ask for. It's clear you get measured on it, but that doesn't mean the customer wants it. No personal touch, and no loyalty stamps. Disappointing experience.

Very friendly team. Great for "people watching" especially on the top floor.

Really friendly and welcoming staff and manager. When alerted to allergies/intolerances, they were very careful to make sure the drinks were prepared and served carefully, even checking ingredients in the oat milk and frappe powder. They were served promptly and a good choice of drinks options. The food options were a little limited but sadly often are in chains, but I was grateful they were able to point out and recommend the brownie or flapjack. Thanks for your help and we will be back when in Manchester.

Great place to have a coffee and a sit down

Just outside The Arndale if your lucky enough to get the right seat upstairs you can really enjoy the view. Good friendly service and we both enjoyed our food and drinks.

Nero Coffee is one of the best cafes in Britain. This coffee shop is in the center of Manchester. Their coffee is excellent and the desserts are delicious. One of their most beautiful services is providing a ground bathroom for the elderly. Thank you, Niro.

This Caffe Nero is very nice and the staff are very friendly.it is well located close to The Arndale opposite The Corn Exchange.public transport is located close by and it's a good location for the shops.the coffee tasted good.there is easy access for the disabled.unfortunately they no longer seem to have outside seating which I prefer.

Quite crowded on weekends. The cushioned seating area at the end was worn out. Tables were not cleaned fast enough. Went again on a weekday and it was quite empty. Unfortunately ordered coffee for having in but was put in a takeaway cup. I hope management can emphasise sustainability in their cafes.

Staff are dull, looking like they hate their jobs and serving people. Then overcharge people without telling them as the below recently. Seems like another branch of cancerous coffee to close down. Used to get the juice but that is watered down now. Do not recommend

Each time I’ve visited Nero, they ask me if I want some kind of winter blend which ultimately means very little to me. What does mean something is the extra charge for this blend which the staff neglect to mention. This is blatantly trying to smuggle in costs without being clear of them and is rather dishonest. I asked the female member of staff who served me why she didn’t mention the price. She was very rude and the male member of staff said, ‘folks it’s just coffee’ (an on point message for Nero?) when another customer came in after me and said he didn’t understand what this winter blend thing was all about either. I am a regular Nero visitor but shall be considering other options in future. Please be more honest about your sales tactics. We are in a financial downturn remember. People need every penny they have!

Wherever I go I always try to use Nero's coffee shops. Never had a bad drink or experience. Definitely recommend

How is this place 4.1 🌟? I am a regular customer because I get free vouchers I would never pay a penny for their products as this place is always FILTHY. I'll post some pics to proof here. No where to sit and full of dirty mugs and dirty plates.

An alright Café Nero, right on the corner of Exchange Square. Cafe is spread over two floors, however usually quite busy and hard to find a seat

The staff were friendly and my order didn't take too long but the lack of cleanliness behind the counter and in the shop in general was quite atrocious. The coffee-making area looked so disorganised and dirty that it definitely doesn't make me want to return.

Pretty standard cafe nero service and drinks. During the day it is a bit crowded but after 5pm it's really calm and nice. The rasberry white chocolate roulade was not my taste, but that's my fault for not sticking to the chouxnut 😅

Probably the worst Cappuccino I have ever had It was full of froth and then just hot coffee water. The place is becoming outdated and needs a makeover as-well

Dog friendly, good coffee, a safe haven from the busy streets! Visited last night with my anxious puppy, she was totally overwhelmed by the busy Christmas markets & the lovely guy behind the counter welcomed us in, made a fab coffee & let us sit & take some time out, Lola was much calmer after so thank you!

Personally I prefer Costa, but the new Brazilian blend is to die for. If you like a more smooth and creamy texture, this is for you. It os limited edition, but I m hoping it becomes a more permanent feature. The place was busy today, but I suppose it is the Christmas fever.

First visit to Caffe Nero for a while, friendly helpful staff and a very decent cup of coffee. Use my Tastecard to get 25% off so much cheaper and better value than Starbucks or Costa.

Not great. Serves too many people at once so looses quality. Asked for a tea no milk, which sat on the side almost going over brewed. By the time I got the drink it was too strong. The tea bag was also tied to firmly to the cup so I couldnt undo it !!!!! . By the time I drank the tea; it was like tar. I left the drink and counted my losses. No good service.

Coffee is good here as usual, but I noticed something I found very annoying, I noticed the employee was careless when he handed me my loaf cake as his hand touched my loaf cake and I felt like this was deliberate. I did not say anything at that moment because I did not want to make a big fuss of it. But please be considerate when treating ALL your customers. Another thing I noticed is the cleanliness of the place. There was a strange smell in the area where the fridge is, that keeps food like sandwiches etc.

Great coffee and snacks, love this welcoming, relaxed atmosphere. No one ever tries to hurry you up which makes me go back over and over again. Well done Café Nero for not going down the fast in, serve and get out attitude that so many places have. Always my 1st choice 👏👏

Cafe Nero is a good middle range coffee house that provides cakes and snacks to compliment the coffee.

I had an iced coffee here and perhaps I ordered the wrong thing but I can't say I enjoyed it.

A dirty, run down cash cow! The Owner/Management of this establishment should be ashamed of themselves. People however, seem blind to the state of these chain coffee houses. Floors, surfaces and windows are grimy and its not from today's service but a build up over time due to neglect. This place needs closing for a day or two for time to breath and a refresh. Don't be greedy, we all know the profit margins on a coffee.. ONE WORD "DISGUSTING"!

Staff were pleasant enough, but the place seems to me to be very run down. Needs a good clean, a fresh lick of paint and the tables and chairs need a good sanding down and revarnish.

It has a really nice view on the market street area , I usually enjoy the pastries there , but the staff can be a bit odd having to repeat my order many times so they can understand.

A friend and I were waiting to order some coffees to go, and we were told by a lady behind the bar to come to the front so we can order, and the other woman with glasses said “excuse me guys” and asked her colleague if we have just jumped the queue, even though we were told by her colleague to move forward, as loyal Caffè Nero customers to be basically questioned as if we were in the wrong was not acceptable.

I came into this Caffè Nero for a quick drink with my friend, we waited in the queue for a drink once the girl with blonde hair behind the till asked us what we wanted we moved around the two ladies already being served to let her know our order. To then be shouted at by the lady behind the counter who wears glasses that we were jumping the queue even though she was the person serving the only two customers in front of us. I found this unbelievably rude and disrespectful to accuse us of jumping a queue when we asked by her colleague to come and give our order. She should really work on her customer service because as someone who works in the industry and also someone who comes to Caffè Nero for years you will no longer have my service after this. Shocking

I was there today for a coffee and the girl seved me was rude and asked me if I wanted milk twice in a annoyed way and the table where I sit was a mess and I had to clean myself

The staff doesn't know what time they close midweek since that particular person only works weekends🤔unbelievable! On the door it says Thu til 6pm any other weekday til 7:30pm...went there on Tue 7/9 about 7:05pm and they were already closed😬which was really annoying! As I was rushing to reach before 7:30pm closing time... Then I went to the Market Street & Piccadilly Gardens Nero & they were all closed before 7:30pm when online it says they're open til 7:30pm🙄 Today received a decent service but can't say this all the time...

Very unimpressed.. more interested in pushchairs not being upset rather than service. No one was smiling and a very tense atmosphere!

The sales assistants ruined our experience. Staff were just unfriendly. Firstly no one told us it was cash only, then my drink was not hot and finally seating area was not nice. Overall horrible experience compared to other cafe neros.

I get the importance of track and trace for COVID but I don’t appreciate being harangued at the till and repeatedly asked “have you done it yet” over and over again when I’m taking the coffee to sit outside and the woman at the till peering at my phone to make sure I’ve done it properly. Overbearing and rude

Small cafe Nero, a bit cramped but lots of natural and warm. There's a toilet but it's normally locked so you need to ask for a key. Staff are quick and polite.
