One of the fav spot in London! I always come back when I am in town.

If you fancy a good fish and ships or something else this is the right place . The staff is great and they make you feel very comfortable . They are doing a very good job . Good luck !

Wow! I love Islington, and this place was no different! Good food, lovely service and good vibes. The staff were super nice, especially Renata, I think her name was. I could not recommend this place more <3

I went there with my date, as soon as we arrived inside a very friendly staff member (Sara) help us decide the beer for me and specially recommend wine for my girl (which she actually loved) and also recommend the comedy show that we didn’t know was gonna be that night. We sat in a high table next to the bar. The fries were AMAZING super crispy and delicious, the price its ok for the location. To be honest i haven’t laughed like this in a while, the comedians were super easygoing nothing forced and they actually talked to us more than once so we felt super included and comfy. 100% would recommend and come back.

Wonderful historic pub in a great area of town blessed with excellent staff, however the smell from the gents toilets is awful even on a dry mild day.

I went here after work with a couple friends to have some drink. The atmosphere was extremely welcoming and the worker were friendly, especially Dontaie who provided an amazing service.

I came for a couple drinks with my friends and the lovely Dontai served me with a big smile. We ordered a couple beers and ciders which he recommended and they were just what we were looking for.

Great pub and fantastic comedy plus it’s free to attend just get a stamp to get in.

Our last night in London and stopped in for a pint with the family. Lily was my server and she was wonderful. Nothing like a warm smile on a cold windy London afternoon. The atmosphere was great and Lily’s service was much appreciated. Highly recommended and definitely returning on our next London trip!!!

Came in with a friend on the off chance for a pint and a bite to eat and met Courtney who looked after us brilliantly. Gary bought out our food and made sure we were well looked after while we were eating. Great little spot, a credit to Greene King... 👍

This is such a great spot for an evening out! The pub itself feels super cozy yet lively and the service is amazing. We were helped by a lovely server, Amelia!

Nice busy local pub. Selection of ales. I had the lovely “Fireside” ale which was as malty and chewy as a winter ale should be. Did was a Christmas dinner, with really good roasties and a pig in a blanket. Strong after work crowd, calming down a bit as the evening wore on.

This is one of the most amazing pubs I’ve been too. On entering I was greeted by Gareth with a beautiful smile. And a lovely Quote to start my day. Dontaie then brought me to my table that I had reserved. He then suggested the Potted Devon Crab for a starter and I was honestly amazed who knew Crab could taste so good. I then went to the bar to order my drinks and was greeted by Shana. I have never met such a bubbly person She has such a great personality and I love how she provided me with a great variety of drinks. I will definitely be back!!!!

Nice and historic pub, excellent beer and pleasant food

The food was delicious, the bar is well equipped. And there is a comedy show every evening. You have to be there by 7 p.m. to get a stamp. It starts at 8 p.m. The show is donation based.

Extremely overpriced and very rude staff. My friends and I bought three different types of beer that they had on draught, all of which were flat and stale tasting. This was a real surprise considering they cost £7.60 each! From what I gather the manager on shift had little clue of pub etiquette and was rather impolite when serving. It’s a real shame as I’ve been going to this pub since I was young, however it is clear it is not what it used to be. Another example of chain companies destroying the trade, training staff inadequately and charging ridiculous prices.

Absolutely enjoyed my time here, great quality of food and service, especially Dontaie was incredibly welcoming and supportive. Would definitely recommend and gonna be back soon!

The comedy is good! The roast is also pretty good! Great location as well.

Fabulous meal, nothing was too much trouble. The duck is amazing and all the allergies were accommodated. The manager was fabulous and I personally thanked the chefs. A gr we at evening. Thank you for making us feel so welcome 😊👍

This is a beautiful pub with a wonderfully decorated interior. It's a Greene King pub, so it has a decent menu with a good choice of beers. Definitely one of the best pubs in the Islington area.

Super nice pub for my family. We've visited 3 times during our 8 nights stay. Morgan, a super nice pub lady, and the other members of staff served very nicely and supported us a lot :) The food is lovely, the Camden Head Ale is perfect. We will definitely visit again soon!!

Brilliant staff, as I walked in I was greeted friendly. I ordered fish-and-chips only took about 10 minutes. The chips were very crispy and fried to perfection. The fish was battered very well and the peas were fresh. Definitely recommend.🥰🥰🥰

I came here with my wife and my child to pay a visit to some friends in London. We pass by this pub at lunch time so we decided to come in and we go for the traditional Sunday Roast. The ambient was comfy with a great yard and the waitress was nice and friendly. I didn’t expect very much for a pub for food, but the roast was tender and tasty and beautifully presented. I think they can teach a couple of things to most of the restaurants and an affordable price. Well done Camden Head team!!

This was our favorite pub of all the many pubs we went to. Great service! Get the halloumi fries and Korean chicken sandwich. You won’t be sorry!

It is one of the nicest pubs, it feels like you are in one of those movie stories. We really liked the service and the food, it is worth stopping by if you are traveling through London and want to get away from the touristy stuff. We will return!

Nice pub in a nice location. Absolutely the most inedible macaroni and cheese I have ever bore witness to. My husband and I couldn’t stand to look at it and it tasted like the second time someone had eaten it. Will not be eating food here again.

Lucky enought to get some lovely fish and chips and a lager before refurbishment. Can’t wait until they reopen 31st of August - I’ll be the very first customer that day!

Amazing fish and chips and great cocktails! Bartenders were friendly and helpful with our undecisiveness, very fast service and lively ambiance. There was also a free comedy club which was entertaining! Definitely came back twice. Loved it!

Always a good night here especially if you go for the comedy! Lower star review because of a member of staff who was unnecessarily rude. White woman with ponytail, such a shame after only positive experiences at this establishment. Also not wheelchair friendly.

I’ve been in twice now, and the atmosphere is very nice, especially the front garden. Tigi served my friends and I drinks, and she was very polite and knowledgeable about the drink selection. Will definitely be back at some point
