Caprini in Lambeth

El Linguini con Almejas (Vongole) es excelente! Este es un pequeño restaurante italiano auténtico de estilo familiar. Me recuerda a los restaurantes italianos de Brooklyn, NY con los que crecí en los 80. El servicio es bueno y rápido, la comida es deliciosa y los precios son muy caros. Estoy de vacaciones desde Estados Unidos, TX y planeo cenar aquí sirve tiempos durante mi estancia.

We used to go here frequently under previous management. The new people are grumpy and appear to have a problem with women. My companion arrived first - the restaurant was empty - and she was initially ignored. They denied we had a booking until she showed them a copy of the confirmation. The waiter snapped at her when she asked to substitute spinach in the risotto for another green veg. We ordered a decaff flat white and an Americano. They were both the same, black with milk on the side. When we said one wasn't a flat white we were argued with on grounds that if you tip the milk into a black coffee that makes it a flat white. When the bill came, my companion queried it as they'd added an extra bottle of water which we hadn't had. They actually denied this, although it was there on the bill: 2 x bottles of water - we'd had one. So that's the end of Caprini for us. The men in there need to change their attitude.

Como los restaurantes en Leicester Square y sus alrededores estaban reservados, decidimos cenar cerca de Waterloo y reservamos por adelantado en Caprini. El servicio fue excelente de un número de camareros experimentados, y la comida, pasta, pizza y 2 postres, era igualmente bueno. Es muy merecedor de la reputación de calidad que tiene.

Parecía un auténtico restaurante italiano. No estuvo a la altura de nuestras expectativas. El salmón todavía tenía huesos. El servicio estaba bien.

Un restaurante italiano tradicional, el ambiente era amable y profesional. La comida era excelente de calidad y bien saborizada. Pruebe el Tiramisu casero - lo mejor que hemos comido en un restaurante durante mucho tiempo! Los precios eran muy razonables teniendo en cuenta la zona en la que se encuentra.

Restaurante típico italiano con un montón de opciones en el menú. Personal amable y divertido. Comida increíble y excelente servicio.

Apareció después de un evento local anoche. Nos atrajo la decoración tradicional que recuerda a los años 70. Nos dieron una cálida bienvenida y disfrutamos de una encantadora ensalada de alcachofa y deliciosa pasta - taglialini con salmón ahumado y carbonara fetuccina. La casa roja era muy agradable. Precios razonables también. Nos fuimos sintiéndonos muy satisfechos.

Un auténtico italiano pequeño, con un encantador menú italiano clásico. Una gran parada antes de un evento, justo al lado de Waterloo. Además, a un precio muy razonable

Sigue pasando por este restaurante cada vez que estamos en Londres tan popped en ninguna reserva. Entradas y tuberías para todos... demasiado llenas para postres. La comida era genial, así como el vino (tenía casa roja). Quedamos muy impresionados. El personal era amable y vino con sentido del humor. Lo recomendaría 👌

Lovely authentic Italian Restaurant, near Waterloo Station. Great and friendly service with quality food and drinks, would definitely recommend and hope to return.

As we were staying close by and we love Italian food we tried this restaurant. Absolutely no complaints. Good Italian fare ,wide choice good service, we will eat here again when we return to London.

Avoid this restaurant by Waterloo station. We were placed at the back of the restaurant next to the toilet door. The unisex toilet opens directly into the restaurant beside the diners. The waiter was rude and abrupt especially to my wife. Perhaps he thought he was being humorous. He wasn't. The pasta was overcooked and watery, the veal was as flat as cardboard and overcooked, the vegeatables were undercooked. When the waiter asked about the food we politely complained the reply was 'No one ever complained before'. I'm sure that statement is not true. I aksed him to explain why he asked if he was going to disagree with the answer. He never came back. We should have left without paying for the food it was so bad but we did the English thing, we paid and left, never to return.

We looked forward to our first visit to 4 Fratelli Caprini but were quickly disappointed. We came for lunch - it wasn’t too busy, although our salad starters and pizzas took ages to arrive. Admittedly, the food was okay and our vegan options were (hopefully) adhered to. Décor is kitschy but not in a particularly trendy way. The area is also quite grotty. Menu prices were higher than those published on Caprini’s website, although a far greater problem was with regard to the terrible service we received from the three cumbersome and slow moving members of staff on duty that day. They were not particularly helpful, interested or engaging and we were made to feel quite unwelcome from start to finish. When the bill arrived, I was happy to pay for our food and drinks but refused to pay the service charge that was automatically slapped on – to actually expect a gratuity of around £10 for bad service and attitude is an absurdity. Never again!
