Carlito Burrito in Brighton and Hove

Nice spot in central Brighton, authentic tasting food and great variety. Staff were a bit surly to begin with and drinks a bit expensive, but very nice. Recommend the pork quesadillas, chicken tacos and prawns.

So so so tasty! We had the vegan banana blossom tacos, vegan chorizo frijoles and the flautas and everything was delicious! The margaritas were banging too! Our server was really sweet and friendly, love this place so much!

Amazing food and drink and service

Came here after the cinema, 5 of us including one vegan. Was very well looked after by the waitress and really enjoyed the food. We had nachos to start, then had 6 small plates plus 1 main course each of fish tacos and a burrito. All very tasty!! The cocktails were also excellent. Will defo go back.

As you enter, you know you’ve picked well. The atmosphere, the colours, the attention to detail. Easily best burritos in Brighton and I’ll be back with the whole fam when it’s time to smash some tequila and margaritas. A bit on the spenny side but service and food was great so you get what you pay for. Oh and there’s sick vegan options.

Wonderful restaurant, the food is delicious and authentic, the staff are always very friendly and efficient, and the hibiscus Margheritas are magnificent. Highly recommended.

Sad to see how overpriced the restaurant has become. Back when we first came it was already reasonably expensive but still decent for the great food quality. These days you pay £13-14 for 2 tacos (it used to be 3 tacos). In addition with a lemonade and service fee you come out paying over £22 for barely a taste of food. The food quality is good and tasty but the prices are getting ridiculous. In Barcelona we get amazing Mexican food for much less.

Promedio en el mejor de los casos. La comida estaba bien. Es un lugar de comida rápida en lugar de un restaurante. El gerente fue muy grosero a la llegada. Aparentemente otro miembro del personal no apareció: “Date prisa y ordena” fue su consejo. Fui a pagar y me presionaron por una “propina” de cargo por servicio me negué y ella no estaba feliz. Le dije a mi familia que no era una buena persona. Estoy seguro de que hay mucho mejores en Brighton.

Había oído cosas buenas sobre este lugar y estaba deseando probarlo, pero honestamente esta fue una de las peores experiencias gastronómicas que he tenido. Mi entrante llegó y eran tres langostinos y un poco de salchicha. Los langostinos estaban bastante desaborizados, pero aún así, estaba deseando el plato principal. A todos mis amigos les sirvieron la comida, pero los míos nunca aparecieron. En tres ocasiones distintas pregunté después de mi comida y me dijeron que la cocina estaba respaldada. Todos mis amigos terminaron sus comidas y pidieron más bebidas mientras esperaba mi comida. Y esperó. Y esperó. Y vio a otros comensales entrar en el edificio, sentarse y servir su comida... Y esperé un poco más. Finalmente, como tenía otros planes, pedí cancelar la comida. Sin disculpas, sin ofrecimiento de recompensa, ni siquiera una bebida gratuita... solo 'sí, claro'. Sinceramente, no creo que hubiera llegado a la cocina. Ya no mencioné el hecho de que había ido a cenar, había pasado más de una hora en el establecimiento y no me habían servido lo que pedí. Ciertamente no volverá.

Pedimos desde aquí anoche ya que La choza no estaba recibiendo ningún pedido en ese momento. Uber tomó siglos desde recoger la comida hasta la entrega, así que hacía frío, así que obviamente no es culpa de los restaurantes. Los nachos que estaban súper empapados como dip estaba en ellos en lugar de separados y pedí una quesadilla pero no tenía queso o chorizo y estaba súper empapado. El burrito de marido estaba bien, pero todavía bastante empapado. Fue una pena, ya que era caro en £ 40 para los 3 artículos antes de la entrega.

Incredible Mexican food! If you're looking for a diverse menu full of options and flavours to mix and match, this is the place! Ingredients taste very fresh and seasoned very well. I almost got every single time from the menu! Had to try all.

I absolutely loved the food here. We tried the fish tacos, pork quesadilla, and corn, and each dish was delicious. The margaritas were also incredibly tasty. Although the service was a bit chaotic with only one person handling the front of the house, she was very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely return.

I order from these guys through Uber Eats a fair bit, and the food is exceptional. Really fresh, authentic flavours and really great sized portions too. The Cheeky Chicken Burrito is a go-to, and the basil aioli is SO good. Make sure you get the Hallouminati too - deep fried halloumi with a chipotle dish. Best thing ever. Well worth a visit.

We were visiting from London and stumbled across this little gem! The Mexican food was outstanding and the margaritas were amazing. I must admit, it’s my favourite place to go for a naked burrito whenever I’m in Brighton. I love the casual, friendly vibe of the restaurant and the food is always delicious. I just had their banana blossom naked burrito and it was gorgeous!

My boyfriend and I came here for an early valentine’s meal and had absolutely no complaints. Both the cocktails we had were incredible (the huapanga was my fave), and the food was delicious too. My boyfriend particularly loved the halloumi starter! The real highlight though is the staff. The waitress and bartender were so attentive and kind, and made the whole experience. Absolutely recommend!

My favourite Mexican restaurant by a mile, can't recommend it strongly enough. Absolutely lovely service always, super friendly environment and the food is superb - the fish tacos are seriously as life-changing as they claim, and the fish burrito even more so. Go here.

Hands down my favourite Mexican restaurant in Brighton. The food was insane and the pricing wasn’t bad either especially for the quality. Margaritas are great and have a chilly rim which is very yummy. Highly recommend the nachos !

I had a phone call from the caller Carlito Burrito where I was being sold a new 3 mobile contract. I have never been to this restaurant and I find it an odd service

Ordered a burrito and they somehow managed to wrap the foil inside of the tortilla. This meant it was completely inedible. It appears that they realised they had a problem whilst wrapping and instead of making a new one, proceeded to wrap it in 5 extra layers of foil and pass it to the delivery driver. Reported to Uber eats due to it being unsafe to eat

I booked in advance to get a good table and still think that this is the best Mexican food in Brighton but the service was SO bad this time. We won’t be going back. We arrived and our table wasn’t ready we had to ask to sit somewhere else to wait and the staff member was clearly unhappy with that We ordered drinks and food and even though our table had cleared were told to stay put squashed uncomfortably on a four person table with a buggy rammed in beside us. I’d understand if we were walk ins. The staff member -I think the owner- was very stressed and busy but made no effort to apologise or acknowledge his gruffness. We all felt uncomfortable with his attitude and it ruined the dining experience. Shame, it was our favourite restaurant.
