Well I never! What a fabulous place. I went with my dearest friends who I hadn't seen for five years and bizarrely, it's in the same spot as the Ice Bar that we went to together in 2016, the last time we were all in the UK. Anyway, the welcome was wonderful, we felt immediately this was the place for us, on this special evening. The music, the atmosphere, the space between the tables was magnificent. Our initial waiter was so kind and jolly and I wish I'd found out his name so I could have bigged him up in this review. However, we then met Amelie, and she was exceptionally special. She explained the menu perfectly, even though some of us really didn't understand the process. She helped us order exactly what we didn't realise we wanted. She also kept a keen eye on our restaurant experience, making sure that I, for one, didn't over order beer, or food. She was not at all intimidating. It was a fabulous experience and right at the end she said, so timeously, that she knew we didn't want dessert, because we'd spent possibly ten minutes chatting amongst ourselves since the dinner plates were taken away. The píece de rèsistance, however, was the most charming way she cleared the table, including the crumpled serviettes, particularly my own, which appeared to have become a kind of comfort blanket. What a night! What extremes! What an experience.

This place is dreadful. A friend warned me it was bad but another said it was nice so I expected an improvement. Service was good. Friendly. That is the only positive. The only one. Iberian croquette: deep fried mashed potato balls with a tiny bit of ham. Chicken: not good. Oily. Flavourless. You only have one item on your menu. Do better. I wish i were in Nando’s. And I don’t even eat Nando’s… Sweet potato: ok. Peri peri sauce: ok. An insult to Portugal. An insult to chicken. An insult to taste buds. The bill: a drink, some chicken and potatoes : £45. This is why you won’t even get 2 stars. Expensive for low quality food.

The last two times I have come here the same thing has happened, ordered starters and mains and they both come up once, the food sits on the side in the kitchen not freshly prepared, used to be good 18 months ago but terrible now. Got here at 6 the meal was over at 6.45 starters mains and desert

Honestly don’t even bother going here, went here a couple weeks ago and the service to the price and the look of the place just wasn’t it, it wasn’t giving how it did on instagram and I was really disappointed, i ordered some prawns for £23 and they gave me normal prawns no tiger prawns or even king prawns! Honestly had to tell them to take it back, overall wouldn’t go back🥲

The resturant is now closed permanantly. When open it was a great place, very interesting unusual and a place for fun. It has been closed for months now due to the recession in Britain.

The meal was a truly exceptional experience from the moment our party of 6 arrived. The service was faultless, and our server was tirelessly patient and helpful, explaining dishes and offering advice to ensure our meal was spot on. Every well conceived dish was an adventure in flavours, with the Smoked Hispi and Lahmacun with Oklava Salad particular favourites. The restaurant was full but it made no difference to the speed of service from the open kitchen. It was refreshing to find such a professional team that made you forget there was ever such a thing as lockdown or staff shortages.
