Lovely little cafe on the main high street. Friendly staff. Different full English breakfast options starting from £5.50 all freshly cooked. I ate here every morning whilst on holiday in Newbiggin by the Sea. Highly recommend.

A new edition to Cee-jays lunch menu is an amazing salad made by Chloe, it had so much flavour and you can have various toppings. To be eaten in or take away, would make a lovely change from fish and chips for the beach . Already put my order in for Monday. Absolutely fabulos , thankyou Team Cee-Jays .

We were only up in Newbiggin for four days and managed to pop into Ceejay's Cafe a couple of times for breakfast. The coffee was really good and there was an excellent choice for breakfasts. One chap in there was having an early lunch and it looked fabulous. Everyone really enjoyed the food as well as the great atmosphere in the cafe. I had one of their cheese scones as a takeout in case I got peckish on the long drive home. I should have bought more as it was the best I'd had for a long time. We will definitely pop in next time we are up in Newbiggin. Thank you very much ladies.

Went in last month with my friends, staff were lovley and food was great. however the cafe was quite busy and I could see the girls were struggling, the woman who I can only assume was the boss by the way she communicated with the staff was sat on the far side of the cafe with a table all to herself whilst customers were having to squeeze on to tables together. Not once did she get up to help the poor girls while they were rushed of their feet. And on top of it being busy she was asking staff to do things like sweeping or making scones, something I assume is easy enough for her to do herself. It's a shame, the staff and food were lovley I was just a bit letdown by the owner being so handsoff especially on such a busy day.

We have been here a couple of times. My wife and I generally, if the weather is nice, walk from Ashington to Newbiggin and by the time we arrive in Newbiggin its dinnertime so we always make for here. It a nice, clean, tidy, airy and friendly little café. We have been lucky every time that there is room for us as it is only a small place. We have always been greeted warmly. Once you order your food it is then freshly prepared so can take a little while to arrive but is worth the wait. The portions are a decent size and the well presented. The prices are reasonable. They do have a single toilet for use by customers which my wife used and said it was clean and tidy.

Warkworth has a small nucleus of great places to eat, and we'd never tried Bertrams, so we went. It was a no brainer given the quality of other reviews. The only downside was that we had to get in and out early so were nearly the first people in hence little "atmosphere" but that was our agenda not the restaurant, and we were there for the food... ... which was first class. Superb hake served with a beautiful herby crab pate and dauphinoise potatoes. The flavours were immense and everything was cooked to perfection. You notice the difference with real quality and top chef standards and this delivered for me. The lemon meringue dessert was the proverbial icing on the metaphorical cake. Superb.
