Lovely local pub. Great food and warm welcome. Always have had a good meal when we have gone. Highly recommend if you are in the area

We had my husbands 50th birthday party here, we hired the function room and had use of the skittle alley, buffet and the music system. We had a great time! Everyone was super helpful and friendly as usual and everyone left happy and full of beer and food! Thank you again for a brilliant night, you are all fab!

I never write reviews but I had to for The Cheese Rollers. What a lovely atmosphere to have lunch or dinner in. Warm, friendly staff who are so attentive. The food was very reasonably priced and really tasty, we could tell that the best ingredients had been used. We didn't have to wait forever for our meal either. I cannot recommend this brilliant pub enough, however, there's a part of me that wants to keep this little gem quiet because I want it to get too busy!!

The management team have worked really hard to make this historic pub a success and deserve our support. It’s a friendly spot for a a meal, especially the Pieminister pies and Sunday Roasts - excellent quality and value. It’s easy to get there by bus from Cheltenham or Gloucester. My only feedback would be that the white wine selection could be improved by offering something with a bit more punch.

A impromptu visit today with my daughter & 2 granddaughters and although we could tell there was a private birthday party going on when we went to the bar to order drinks we were asked to find a table and they would serve us, the service was wonderful and the meal absolutely delicious, without doubt we will be attending again, I am very old school and as such having a good local pub is a must, as my daughter lives in Shurdington I think she and the locals are very lucky to have such a great local. Well done to all concerned...

A nice restaurant that serves amazing food at very reasonable prices. We enjoyed our meals very much indeed and the staff in the restaurant were very friendly. In our family group we had three different types of pie, served with chunky chips, peas and gravy and everyone of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals.

Mum and dad have mentioned wanting to visit, so we popped in on this visit. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Food was absolutely amazing. Definitely worth a visit. We will be visiting again to sample the other pies on the menu.

I love the Cheese Rollers, the staff are amazing, and Shaun and Mary bring that added special magical touch to make the country pub and restaurant a great place to visit. Feeling very welcome with a friendly atmosphere. I had a light meal of chips, mushy peas, egg and gammon and the portion was bigger than I'd thought it would be! The Carling was cold,nice and refreshing, especially with the beautiful weather. The food was delicious, proper traditional homemade pub meals, cooked fresh, with excellency and even the preparations gone into the dish(es). And the prices were very good too. Great service. All in all, a very happy customer. Thank you to Shaun, Mary and team.

We booked online for a a family of four and when we got there they said no record of our booking. No, really sorry we will try and accommodate you, just a basic get lost. Terrible service and staff with the worst attitudes I have ever encountered. Never gout back.

Popped in for a quick bite to eat, as I was working I don’t want a heavy lunch as it makes me feel tired and wanting to go home. I’ve seen the light lunch advertised so thought I’d pop in, well I was pleasantly surprised and impressed, had the sausage chip and peas / beans as I wanted something warm. Was all I could of asked for a fantastic price and the right amount of food to keep me going for the day. When I’m in the area and hungry I will definitely be back.

An excellent pub in a good location with a spacious car park. We received a warm welcome and prompt, attentive (but not overwhelming) service. Good menu, good food (and, thank you, hot plates!), good value. We really enjoyed our visit. Highly recommended!

Took the family and mother in law here for Sunday lunch. All the staff were friendly and the service was timely. We enjoyed the food, it was all hot and tasty. We thought it was reasonably priced as well. It was a cold day and I really wanted a nice warm cosy pub, but it was a bit chilly, a few of the clients left their coats on only reason it gets 4 as opposed to five stars. An on returning when the weather warms up.

We usually call in for a drink once a week, lovely garden to sit out when the weather is nice. The staff are all friendly and very helpful. The pizzas are great as is the steak. Have also been here for a function and had a great time, always been very well looked after!

Three of us ate here - our first visit for longer than I can remember - and we were really impressed. Proper pub food, a wide range of choice, really good atmosphere - this is what proper pubs used to be like! We thoroughly enjoyed our meals, and the friendly service was an added bonus. There's a large car park, and a lovely outdoor area for better weather. We'll definitely be back!

Instant mash and deep fried sausages - more like a greasy spoon cafe than a gastro pub with traditional pub grub - quite a few complaints whilst we were there but not enough staff to cater for customers needs - unfriendly staff and meant to be our local pub but would rather travel to get better food and hospitality

Went for lunch on Mother's Day yesterday. Could not fault the service or food. Absolutely delicious, I didn't even leave a pea! I had no room for pudding although half our party had the apple crumble and custard and one had chocolate fudge cake with ice cream, both of which were also very good.

Who allows a thoughtless customer to leave his motorcycle - with the engine running - belching filthy exhaust smoke directly through the open entrance, filling the bar/restaurant with poisonous fumes. Needless to say, this has been our first and last visit. If there was the...

We haven’t been to the Cheeserollers for a long time and we’re delighted with everything about the place. Marlee was delightful and so helpful. The food was fresh and tasty. We will be back soon, thank you.

Awful cold miserable pub. Staff cannot answer questions on drinks. Food poor lukewarm and expensive.

Very limited menu, hardly any choice for vegetarians. The waiter wasn't very knowledge on the content of some meals. We would have had a dessert, but nobody came back to the table to ask if we wanted anything so they missed out!

The Cheese Rollers is a pub which needs more recognition. They do good food at reasonable prices, served by friendly staff. The ale is in good condition, at the time of writing Blunderbus from the local Clavell and Hind Brewery, and Doom Bar are available....

Called in today, I hadn't booked but it was not a problem, it has a beautiful garden with plenty of room. I ordered a light lunch which was delicious. Service was prompt, efficient and friendly. Will definitely be going again soon.

Todos fueron muy acogedores, tan pronto como entraste en el pub te dijeron que desinfectaras las manos y luego te tomaron la temperatura y te pidieron tu nombre y número. También tenían un buen sistema de ida y vuelta dentro y fuera del pub. El servicio de mesa fue excelente, vinieron y tomaron su pedido y luego no tuvimos que esperar mucho para nuestra comida. cuando salió la comida estaba caliente y todo casero estaba delicioso. Definitivamente vamos a volver.

Somos visitantes habituales a la hora del almuerzo en este acogedor pub, pero estamos desconcertados por su política anti coronus. En el pasado, los cubiertos siempre se entregaban con los alimentos, pero ahora, aparentemente para detener cualquier riesgo de contaminación, los clientes deben ayudarse a sí mismos a los cubiertos. A pesar de que el pub estaba prácticamente vacío, no nos invitaron a mudarnos al pub, así que tomamos nuestra propia decisión de mudarnos allí para nuestro postre porque teníamos mucho frío.La comida era tibia, el plato de bacalao no era comestible para dos de nuestro grupo y la sopa estaba muy espesa hasta el punto de que cuando tomabas una cucharada, el agujero quedaba en la sopa.En el lado positivo, el hombre que nos sirvió la comida fue muy atento. Sentí pena por él en un momento dado porque solicitamos salsa de perejil para los platos de bacalao y tuvo que transmitir el mensaje de la cocina de que solo tenían salsas tartare, de tomate o de barbacoa. Además, no hay café descafeinado o infusiones disponibles después.Gracias Cheese Rollers por el descuento debido a los problemas con el frío, pero todo el evento, que diferentes personas hicieron un gran esfuerzo para organizar y asistir, fue una decepción.

The pub/restaurant is very pleasant. It was warm and clean and the staff were very friendly.We were a group of 12 friends and had booked for afternoon tea.We were served quickly.The disappointing moment came when you were not given a choice of tea and when people asked for a refill were told the price (£9.50) only included one cup of tea. They did not even offer extra hot water to top up the teapots.The food itself was lacking any finesse. The bread was of low quality....I mean, who has cream cheese and salmon on sliced white packet bread ? The crusts should have been cut off.I did not care for the cakes and the scones were dry and shop bought.These things could be rectified quite easily.

We used the function room at the Cheese Rollers for my mum’s Wake and it was perfect. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and the buffet was exceptional. It was all very freshly made just in time for our arrival and I’d highly recommend this venue for any party/family get together.

What a lovely country pub we drove down from Nottingham to visit our long time friend who recommended the cheese rollers. The staff were lovely and very friendly the food was perfect we cleaned our plates and even had pudding. We will visit again soon and will definitely go again. Very enjoyable couple of hours.

What a lovely pub this is. We were staying at the Greenway around the corner and wanted a change of scenery.The staff were really welcoming, Brian who often chatted to us and Marlee who played with our little dogs but all of them were so friendly.The drinks were good and a reasonable price, the food was clearly home cooked, tasty and good value for money and there's a lovely quiet garden at the back where we were able to sit in the September sunshine.I'd definitely recommend and would go back; it's much nicer and more friendly than any of the other pubs we found in the area.

We go here fairly often with our dogs (and sometimes by ourselves). The food is always consistently brilliant and very fair value for money, the customer service is always quick and respectful. The man at the bar (strikes me as the manager) is very to the point and can seem abrupt but he always treats us with respect.They allow dogs in the lovely beer garden and bar area which is nice for our pooches who like to go with us to places. Some staff seem to love our dogs to the point where they've sometimes asked where our dogs are when we go alone lol. If it's a nice sunny day, I fully recommend having a lovely pint with some lovely food in the beer garden! Only wish they didnt stop serving Pravha!

The vegetarian burger was awful, dry, tasteless with no salad or dressing and a handful of not very warm chips. The stuffed pepper was also awful, a very small pepper not cooked properly and stuffed with unseasoned cous cous. I asked to swap the accompanying salad for chips - then got charged an exorbitant £7.95 for the pepper and another £2.60 for chips. The barman was rude and needs some serious training in developing customer service skills. Not a place I would return to and certainly wouldn’t be able to recommend.

Excellent food in a clean and comfortable environment - lovely, lovely staff (friendly and professional - especially Tracey and Jo) and exceptionally clean loos (a 'thing' for me!). We will definitely come again soon - the summer menu had lots of choice, was well cooked and quickly delivered, and the winter menu sounds fab too. Highly recommended *****

For a family members birthday we visited here for a Sunday lunch. There was a large group of us with pre selected food. There was only one poor girl serving the food which came out in dribs and drabs so by the time the last meal came out most had already finished. We asked for condiments but they never came and the food itself wasn’t all that great. Not a lot of it either. Perhaps this was just an off day but we were very disappointed.

HI we found this pub on trip advisor, and were not disapointed! We went there for lunch on our way back to Kent, they are dog friendly, have fantastic menu selection,beautiful garden seating area, plenty of parking, lovely staff and great location!! Also I managed to leave my handbag there by accident and didnt realise until the next morning and as we live in Kent the staff ( Denise) were fantastic they had seen my bag and kept it safe, and were happy to help me get it couried home. A huge Thankyou to the Cheese Rollers!!

Habiendo estado aquí tres veces en la última semana, ¡parece que no puedo mantenerme alejado! La comida tiene un precio muy razonable y significa que puede visitarla regularmente, a diferencia de otros pubs en los Cotswolds. Hay una cervecería al aire libre, que es extensa y puedes ver la colina de Leckhampton mientras bebes un poco de frescor de fresa bastante agradable.

We have returned on several occasions to this pub after a disappointing visit last year. Not been on a Sunday again but have been for lunch. The pub on both occasions was very quiet but the food was perfect. Fishcakes to die for!!

Oh I just love this little pub... Lovely pub food, excellent salads & sandwiches... The garden is just a hidden delight.. Wonderful in the warm weather, to sit & chill out, it is so peaceful.. Well worth a visit..

Quite recently refurbished, clean light decor in the bar. Garden at back for warmer weather. Friendly service. We shared two starters and two "lighter" mains, both home made (2 for £12). A fairly predictable pub menu, but quality was good. Beer choice a bit limited, although a number of ales on tap. Proper coffee and very fair prices. Lacking a bit of atmosphere on a very quiet weekday lunchtime perhaps, but not the fault of the pub. Would be happy to return.

The three of us had evening meal, the service was good and the food tasty. Have to say the decor isn't brilliant but the bar is well stocked. My fave locally (Dorset) is cajun chicken, I ordered this in a burger and wasn't disappointed.

Mediocre meal was made with cheap gristly mince. Menu limited. The colleagues will not be choosing this pub again for lunch with visitors. We have tried here a few times but this was last chance.

I recently had dinner at the cheese roller inn with my family and I was really disappointed by the very low quality of food. Before going to the pub I read many positive reviews and was expecting a delicious meal however this was not the case. On the other hand the staff were friendly but I wouldn't recommend anyone to visit this pub to eat food but for a drink it's OK.

We have tried a number of pubs with food in the local area. The Cheese Rollers is far the best. Fairly standard menu but very good value for money and good friendly staff. Will be returning to sample more of the menu.

What a pleasure it was to have our Saturday lunch here. The staff were so friendly and very professional. Our food came pipping hot and looked delicious. Hawaiin chicken skewers on a sizzling skillet for me and Chicken tikka lasagne for hubby. Both were tasty and definitely home made, which is so nice to see.

This is basic pub food but the quality was good and very good value. Staff are helpful and friendly. Very nice garden at rear.

We ate generous portions of unfussy pub food, which was well cooked and at a reasonable price. The service was quick and efficient. You might find the 60s background music a bit irritating but, on the other hand, it goes nicely with the informal and friendly atmosphere of the place. Like many pubs, the vegetarian options on the menu are very limited, and there’s nothing for vegans, so that’s something that could perhaps be developed in future. Altogether, this is a very attractive pub; it has, at the rear, a large car park and an attractive garden. I would be happy to eat here again.

I had the chicken and black pudding stack which was superb. My wife was also very happy with her scampi.

Visited with my 93 year old mother-in-law. To the right of the pub there is a road leading to the Cheese Roller's own large car park at the rear. Access from car park to the pub is almost entirely flat with no steps. Ideal for elderly people and those with mobility issues.

Very average food and the place is lacking character and charm. Food took slightly longer than anticipated.

Driving past and looked the perfect place to pop in for a quick bite to eat . A quaint village pub , car park round back , good parking leading to garden area , with seats and shade . On entering you are presented with a modern interior , not what you would expect from the outside . Good seating , ample tables on different levels , clean and welcoming . Bar is well presented and good range of drinks . The menu gives you a choice with a twist . Meal Deal is a smaller portion of the main menu , good if you just want to eat and go like we did . Food was well presented , cooked well and very tasty , usual pub grub with some home made options . The staff were very good and served promptly . If you are passing , stop and give it a go .

This is quite a traditional pub, with some nice old features. Menu has quite a variety and the food was really nice, service quick and the staff friendly. There is a function room so when a function is on, the parking can be a little tricky!

Booked for a Sunday roast for 1.45pm (says on website that roast is served from 12 noon until 4pm). We had our elderly mother with us who found walking difficult.

Went here with friends the Friday after Christmas just before New Year we were staying at the Cheltenham Chase hotel and were able to get a bus a few moments walk down the road to stop outside the pub. Bus stop outside the pub for going back also. They were on time and ran a very good service.
