Chick 'n' Sours in Tower Hamlets

Tuve una gran experiencia en este restaurante el viernes 7 de febrero. La comida era deliciosa y el servicio del camarero con las rastas fue ejemplar. Definitivamente lo recomendaría.

Fuimos para la oferta de comida a la hora del almuerzo (sandwich de pollo con chucrut de kimchi). El pollo frito en sí no era el mejor que he probado (podría haber sido más jugoso) pero los sabores eran buenos. El cóctel mexicano lo había complementado bien. Lo mejor fue la carne goteando papas fritas. Dorado, crujiente, bien sazonado. El servicio fue amable y sencillo.

This new branch has only been open a few months and its small but fantastic. In the last year or so, the menu has been slimmed down, so sadly no chicken toasts any more, but its kept all the great dishes, starters and cocktails that it originally offered. We started with house pickles and sides like bang bang cucumbers, both delicious spicy portions to complement the amazing crisp chicken that comes with the mains. Having exhausted myself eating the mains with chicken and buns and salads at previous sittings, this time I just had the amazing tasty chicken tenders which put the McD******s equivalents to shame, and for a free dip, one of us had katsu curry, the other sriracha sour cream. £10 for 5 big ones. Fries are better than you might expect - skin on , skinny fries - and whether you get dripping fries or plain, they do the job perfectly and you get quite a big bowl full for £3. Cocktails are fantastic and really complement the food but more importantly taste really good - dont go without trying the habanero jungle bird - a great mixture of rum, campari, like vinegar and pineapple. Its a bit fiery but tasty. We visited twice in our short time away and both times had brilliant service, cheers to Hattie and Jordan for enhancing our time there. Only downside to the site is the very steep downstairs. It only has about 40 covers and half are downstairs so give them a call if you need a table upstairs.
