Doing the usual, press the on it’s way button when it gets to the time it’s supposed to be delivered, then doesn’t show up for another 30 + mins

Food was awful, cold and bland and flavours were just not great. Will not be going back again

Out the food we ordered the chicken spring rolls delicious, the seaweed and chicken and sweetcorn soup fantastic, the chicken chow mein and sweet and sour chicken great, but the egg fried rice and chips dead must have been cooked yesterday

Delivered 50 mins early which normally would be great but I’d gone for a bath and the food was abit lukewarm

Wrong order delivered approx 25 minutes late. Contacted restaurant and driver returned 15 mins later after swapping order. Looked like food had been opened and stone cold,when straight in bin. Requested full refund

Portions were good, but some of it was expensive for what we got, the mushrooms in gravy for example. There can't have been more than 10 or so mushrooms and it was quite expensive. The gravy wasn't very nice either. The duck was lovely though, not very fatty like some we have had before. There was too much sauce for the duck so we felt it was a bit of a waste, but others may like a lot of sauce. Not enough cucumber.

The food is amazing very nice, hot still. But the delivery took over an hour. Not complaining that much because the food was amazing. Would recommend.

Poor quality food, arrived at the latest stipulated time. Didn’t taste great, chips dry, fr. rice very dark colour & unappetising. Chicken balls (strips) rather chewy. Would not order again.

Ordered at 6:12 and food still hadn’t arrived 8:45, appalling delivery service! Even after a phone call asking where the food was we were told it was on the way. End up cancelling the order and turning the driver away, £33 for cold, late food. No thank you keep the food and I’ll keep my money. Never will I order from here again.

rice tasred burnt curry tasted burnt chicken like rubber

Noodles, won tons and rice - really nice. Chicken and prawns texture was slightly off and asked for no onions in meal but 1 meal had a few and the other had a lot of onions! Also forgot the can of pop ordered

food was nice as it always is.but because it was so late it wasn't really that warm unfortunately. il give them another chance as I like the food,sort your delivery out though!

I tried a new dish and I wasn’t disappointed, it was scrummy, freshly made and piping hot. Thanks to the delivery lady for coming out in that awful weather for me.

wow! we’ve not had a Chinese as nice as this for a long time, food piping hot, tasty, full of flavour. On time, lovely delivery driver. Will be ordering again

As someone who enjoys Chinese cuisine from time to time, I was looking forward to trying China House, but unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. Firstly, the delivery was 30 minutes late, though the food did arrive at a good temperature, which was a small relief. I opted for the munch box, knowing that it's usually a safe, inexpensive, and cheerful option where most items are deep-fried. However, this wasn't the case here. The curry sauce, which should have complemented the meal, had an odd, overly sweet taste that was quite off-putting. As for the fried rice, something was noticeably wrong with the flavor or texture, making it unpalatable even when mixed with the curry sauce. I couldn't pinpoint exactly what was wrong, but it was unappetizing enough for me to leave it untouched. The only redeeming part of the meal was the prawn crackers, which were crispy and enjoyable. However, one decent item isn't enough to salvage an overall poor experience. In conclusion, I won’t be ordering from China House again, and I wish I had taken the time to read some reviews beforehand. Unfortunately, the quality of the food just didn't meet expectations.

First time trying here and never again! Sorry but the food was soggy, spare ribs had no meat was just fat so they didn’t get eaten. Some chips were hard. Rice was semi okay. Only thing nice from it was the chicken balls and curry sauce.

First time ordering - Food was expected at 9.20pm arrived at 10.30pm - All food items soggy and wet as if they’d been sat for quite a while - order was incorrect and curry had spilt all in delivery bag however the salt and pepper chips were nice

AVOID!! Only gave 1 star because there was no option for zero. Food an hour late! Cold and sauce congealed. Never again!

Trader states they did not receive my order notes, as such ended up with meals which could not be eaten due to food intolerances . Trader not helpful, told I would have to repay to get my order and also repay for delivery.

Ordered at 9pm on a bank holiday and it arrived just after 10pm. The food was hot and exceeded our expectations after seeing some of the recent reviews. Shredded beef in peking sauce was the best we've had it from anywhere else! Definitely found our new go to when we fancy Chinese in future!

Please for the love of god dont eat this food. No card payments, fried chilli beef was grey and cold. Ribs were 99% bone and dry, very dry. Everything was cold and greasy. I darent eat the prawns for my safety. Holy cow, cantaloupe believe how bad it was. Guy was a nice chap though. Only buy Chinese food from chinese people, lesson learnt

Food was really cold but quick delivery

The meat wasn't the best in the chow main.. Beef I couldn't eat it was like rubber.. Rest off food was OK

I think the chicken was undercooked and I have started to feel unwell since . Despite this the service at the desk was good the lady was very nice.

food was supposed to arrive at 16:30 for an early order. we ended calling at 17:15 and the food had not left the restaurant. it turned up around 17:30 we asked for a part refund they refused. the food was not even hot when it arrived I'm not happy with this service

Our usual Chinese takeaway was closed. Ordered from here instead, I ordered on justeat and it said the order had 40% off if you order over £25. As i got to checkout it said the prices had changed and only ended up with 15% off, coincidence? . So we waited 1 and a half hours and rang and rang the restaurant who just kept putting the phone down instead of just answering. Food finally arrived 2 hours later. We ordered 2 cans of coke with our order that were in the bag with the food and warm. Opened the food up and it was all really cold. Rice wasn't very nice, all tasted like it had been microwaved. Prawn crackers tasted a bit off like they'd been left out. Ordered 2 boxes of salt and pepper chicken, one of the boxes was half full. The chicken was quite nice but overall we weren't impressed. Shame.

Got rice chips and sauce pot, which came with chicken that I did not order, the rice had a weird taste to it, also got S&P chicken which was nice and enjoyable and sweet and sour sauce that had a metallic taste to it like I had a paper cut and licked the blood. Would most likely not order from here again. First and last time.

there was a delivery charge of £3.50, but received a phonecall saying it would be a £2 door delivery to be paid, meaning I paid £5.50. if this is the case then maybe the just eat app needs updating please, great food though

Ordered via dario eats at 6.50 said delivery 7.40. Rang 8.15 said driver on the way. Food eventually arrived 8.50. Got a text at 8.50 to say food wouldn't be long. Food was cold and the sauces were congealed. Wouldn't order again, food took 2 hours to get to us from time of order

Best Chinese I’ve ever had last night! Absolutely nothing that we didn’t enjoy, worth every penny! Compliments to the chef. shame we don’t live closer as it was amazing! Highly recommend.
