Meal was 2 hours late and cold last time I’ll be ordering here very poor service

Dreadful, was told 90 minutes for delivery which is fine Christmas eve is busy that's ok but waited 2 hours and still nothing. Phoned which was answered by a child (completely unprofessional) only to be told they were only now cooking my order would then have to get it out for delivery no sorry not good enough

What can I say that’s good. I ordered the food over 3 hours ago and it was only just delivered, I spoke to the store which someone answered who was ridiculously unprofessional and rude. Food was missing but was “made up” with a free chicken meal with couldn’t be described much better than baby food. The food was all extremely greasy. I get it’s Christmas but a 3 hour wait when I could have had the same service at KFC and it would have cost me 1/3 the price is crazy

5 star meal and service. Ordered 2 veg curries plus chips. Was told there would be a 60 min wait but was actually only 45 mins. Our food was delivered piping hot and with free spring rolls. 2 delicious meals delivered for under £20, what's not to like?

On holiday at kessingland beach.ordered food was here in 45 minutes all food excellent good size portions.Driver even brought the delivery to are caravan could not ask for a better service

After chasing my order and being told it was on it's way I called again 30 minutes later and was told after some confusion their end that they didn't have my order and wouldn't offer any help, I did not appreciate being made to feel like I was lieing. After over an hour had passed they called to say they had received my order, I refused the order as by that time I had eaten. There was no apology and they told me I would have to request a refund from another company. The order was placed through their own website which appears to order via a delivery service.

Usually order from here and food is nice but tonight the chips just seemed dry and the chicken omelette was very dry I couldn't eat it

Myself and my husband have just moved into the Lowestoft area, and ordered from China Star on a recommendation from a friend. We ordered via JustEat, and we spent around £90 on food for 7 people as a little moving in treat to celebrate our new home. I have to say, I was blown away by how tasty everything was. I myself had a portion of pork fried rice, sweet and sour sauce, chips and some satay chicken. It was honestly, one of the best Chinese Takeaways I've ever had. They even threw in some free spiced chicken, which was absolutely delicious! I'll definitely be using them again in the near future.

Quite possibly the worst Chinese Iv ever tasted? I'm not sure what the duck was but it's most defiantly NOT duck and had a funky smell 🤢 #dogmeat Waited over hour and 40 minutes for £50 food order that was binned. Rung up to complain and got told 'oh Iv never had a complaint before' my arse they ain't. Stay away please....

Ordered through just eat and happened to look on the Google page. Shocked by the reviews I didn’t have high hopes but I truly enjoyed this Chinese. Delivered in 30 mins (Sunday evening) Not the best Chinese I’ve ever had but the food was warm, tasty and comes in large portions. Would order again!

First and last time ordering from here. Soggy chips, chicken balls and prawn toast. Prawn crackers missing. Extremely slow delivery and the majority of the dishes completely tasteless.

Most probably the worst Chinese I’ve ever had. The food quality was horrendous. The ribs were fatty and looked like they had been through a blender. Everything had a ridiculous amount of onions in and all had the same flavour. The sweet and sour chicken was just slices of roasted chicken with cheap sweet and sour sauce on top, no vegetables, pineapple etc. I wouldn’t reorder, I’m actually really surprised with all the 5* reviews on Just eat. It was actually horrific and not edible. Please do not order from here, it was cheaply made, taste was awful, complete unappetising.

Waited for over 2 hours for delivery and when it arrived it was absolutely minging. Everything just tasted of salt and was virtually inedible. Will definitely not be using again, disgusting waste of £50

I really don't understand why there are so many bad reviews? We have ordered from this place a number of times over the years and have always found the food to be excellent. It's always fresh and delicious with large servings given. They have a great range of vegetarian dishes and their mock meats are really delicious. So far we can't fault China Star.

NEVER AGAIN WILL I EAT THERE FOOD WE HAD TO WAIT WELL OVER AN HOUR FOR OUR DELIVERY AND WHEN IT FINALLY ARRIVED I WISH IT HADNT. THERE WAS SO MUCH CONDENSATION IN THE PACKAGING , IT WAS SOGGY AND COLD !!! TOTAL WASTE OF FOOD AND IT WAS £33.50

Phoned for an order lady was super helpful making sure 2 of the meals were changed to ensure they were vegan delivered on time all hot and tasty will definitely order from here again

Very good food, piping hot when it turned up.Was told as busy expect up to 2 hours for delivery,but was less than half that. Would definitely recommend to others.

No flavour and everything is swimming in grease I'm disgusted

My normal chinese was closed so thought I'd try this won't be ordering again. The chips were cold and soggy it was meant to have king prawns in dish there was one king prawn it wasent tasty at all needles to say it went in bin £17 wasted

45 mins late delivery and curry too salty

What a joke appreciate the free gift but that doesn't make up for raw prawns and the worst soup I have ever had could just taste msg for money I would rather throw the money down the drain

Always at least a 2 hour wait for delivery, I understand they are busy but try using more delivery drivers like other business's do. On the flip side the food is always piping hot 🔥 and of great quality well worth the wait imo. I can highly recommend the Singapore chow mein with sauce and the salt and pepper chips. Mmmmm to die for ! We have learnt to order at least 1.5 hours before you require it or just go and collect it.

Keeps getting order wrong, use to be amazing food but the last 2 times it became cold and tasteless. If you have changed chef in the last 6 months change him back or give up

Found a metal staple in the chicken not the best.

Rank, never again only good thing was delivered on time by a nice man but delivered into my bin not long after.

Ordered at 7 was told half 8 delivery . That's fine busy time . Called at 9 was told another 35 minute wait !!! Gutted . Cant comment on the food as cancelled .

Ordered at 7.05 said if was going to be a hour, fair enough, so, 8.30, no Chinese, ring them up for them to tell me they had a new chef and to be patient, it's on its way, 8.55 finally arrives, curry sauce was more like curry sludge and food was lukewarm at best, never use again, be warned.

Waited 2 hours for a delivery!! Kept phoning to be told ten minutes... 4 bloody times. Food was rank rather a tin of beans tbh. Ridiculous

My food came and within 5 mins it was in the bin never had such nasty food in my life chips were dry and rock hard the beef chow mein was burnt and black the spring rolls were dry and taste rank the food was that bad my dog even turnt it head from it never ordering from this place again for now on I think I stick to magic wok in oulton broad what a waste off £19 pounds

Food wasn't delivered as asked and called up to ask for our spring rolls that didn't get deliverd, they sent me more chicken balls that were disgusting

Takes to long to get to the door thought-out would have tasted better it couldn't of taken that long to cook maybe why it didn't taist that good coz its sitting around for to long waiting to be delivered

Leaving my review because the current review seems negatively misleading, especially since we saw the rating is much better on just-eat. Ordered egg fried rice, chicken chow mein, happy family, kung po chicken, and chips, and ALL was really nice. Delivered bang on time to our campsite! Even got FREE chicken wings! Def use again.

A one star and that's being generous food was absolutely shocking and half wasn't even edible and got thrown in the bin I will be definitely excpecting a refund once they open (day after order ) would not recommend

Waited well over an hour for delivery. I rang and asked if it was acceptable to wait over an hour for delivery and the guy who answered the phone said it was acceptable

We ordered our food at 6.16pm and still no food at 8.40pm so I rang them to say cancel our order; I was told our order was on it's way and we were told to tell the driver we would cancel,no driver arrived!!!! . The guy was very defensive and put the phone down on me. Needless to say no delivery driver arrived
