Chino Latino in Lambeth

Went for the DimSum master class experience and I have to say, it did go beyond expectations. Eddie the head chef explains very well and helps you with the making of the dimSum. It was fun, interactive and we had a lot to eat. Great atmosphere. Highly recommend it!

The water was overpriced, and the portions were disappointingly small, even for someone with a modest appetite. The calamari was rubbery, while the chicken arrived tough and cold, making it quite unappetising. To make matters worse, the starters were brought out at the same time as the main courses, leaving the meal feeling rushed and disorganised. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.

Absolutely the worst Japanese food I’ve ever had! Terrible, inedible food—we couldn’t even finish our three maki rolls or the wasabi shrimp. It was so bad that I vomited. The only redeeming qualities were the service and atmosphere, but the food was a complete disaster. Also very expensive.

Enjoyable! We don't usually eat at the Hotel Restaurant, but we are very happy we did. The Sushi was amazing, and we've never had a Sirloin like this, Amazing! Thank you

A group of friends did the dim sum master class with Eddie and he was fantastic. Great teacher and personality. We all loved it and can’t wait to do another class.

The 2 main dish meat options they have (wagyu and sirloin) are served on HOT ROCKS. So it doesnt really matter how you order your meat to be cooked, your meat is gonna be well done no matter what. This confuses me to the point i had to write a review 🥲

We had booked for the 2 hour din sum masterclass yesterday. Due to storm Darragh, getting to London from Norfolk on the train was virtually impossible with concerns on getting back if we did make it (all trains were cancelled so wise decision!) I tried calling from 10.45am until 2.30pm with no answer. 🫤 I'm hoping to get a response on here or from the email I sent as really would like a credit note!! 🙏

Our group of 11 had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious, and the service was top-notch. Iman, our waitress, was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made sure we were well taken care of. Even with such a large group, everything went smoothly. Highly recommend for great food and a welcoming atmosphere!

I'm torn about Chino Latino. The decor of the restaurant is open and modern, but echoes quite a bit. The live music is also much too loud for a half-full restaurant. The service is attentive and friendly, but at the same time a bit clumsy and inexperienced. As a starter I had the crispy duck rolls. The menu says 4 pieces. But you actually get 2 pieces that are cut in half to make it 4 pieces. I don't like that kind of description on the menu. If it says 4 pieces, then give your guest 4 (smaller) pieces or just be honest with 2. My main course at a hefty GBP 38,- was black cod with spicy miso. Fish well prepared, not spicy at all. And exactly that, no vegetables, no carbs, no garnish at all, nothing to accompany the piece of fish. Had to add a portion of steamed spinach and a bit of badly cooked rice from my table companion. For dessert I was looking forward to the mandarin mousse. That turned out not to be avaiable. As a second choice the almond pastry with fruit sorbet. It was so sour that you couldn't eat it without the pastry and the pastry was so sweet that you couldn't eat it without the sour sorbet. In summary: my dinner was quite tasty, but with a number of reservations that make the price/quality ratio totally off, my verdict is mediocre, as it is too pretentious to live up the high prices and expectations.

Luego otro miembro del público subió al escenario, pero no se le pasó el micrófono y se mimó junto al acto. Fue como un episodio de Benidorm. La segunda noche, el personal era amable y la comida era buena. Desafortunadamente, no se puede ver mucho de la vista del Támesis debido a los reflejos de la iluminación brillante.

The restaurant is next to the Thames, with unobstructed views of the parliament and the Big Ben. The staff greet you with a warm smile. They had a live performance on Saturday night. Now, the food was absolutely brilliant. We tried two types of dim sums and two sushi rolls. Every single item had a distinct flavour. The presentation was simple but beautiful. Overall, I would recommend the place. Thank you.

Chino Latino sure surprised us. The bar /restaurant view is beautiful. The food is amazing and the drinks were superb. Pablo, the bartender sure took care of us! The prices are mit bad at all! We keep coming back to this bar.

Me and my friend showed up for a cooking class booked online and were advised that the class no longer ran on Sunday. We had not received any email text or other communication regarding this change beforehand. The manager’s on site were very apologetic and took immediate action to rectify the mistake through complementary drinks and bites. Imaan was an amazing hostess as well as another lady in red who was attentive to us for our time. Although it was a disappointing experience the team turned it around. I hope to visit again for dinner another time and even rebook the dimsum making class, the dimsum we did try was flavourful and presented beautifully.The accountability and customer service was incredible. Thank you to the team again.

The food was delicious & presentation was fresh colourful & inviting. I recommend the sushi rolls /salads /wagu beef on the salt / the duck pancakes -everything was flavourful and really presented well. The service was excellent - Matteo was great & really attentive when we needed him. The whole team were friendly and welcoming. It was a wonderful experience and I would absolutely recommend Chino Latino to friends.

I came to the restaraunt for the 1st time as a part of a group attending for a family members birthday. It was dissapointing from the start the staff 1 female member of staff in particular we not freindly at all. Firstly we pre charged before arrival for a set meal. When I arrived I explained my son could not attend as he had tested positive for Covid so I asked that his meal charge be refunded I was assurred by the Waitress serving that would be fine. Then I asked that my 13 year old daughters meal be changed from £65 set meal menu as she didnt eat any of that food and asked for that to be refunded and that was agreed. But at the end of the meal which was not nice everything came in batter??? Not sure why and the restaurant room temperature was on cold do we all had our coats on. Then at the end the restaraunt Manager refused to refund the £130 for the guests that did not eat and he and his Supervisor started to argue with us. I made a complaint and to date no one from Chino Latino has addressed this. Very poor food and even worse service

İ had dinner at Chino Latino. They have an amazing menu with lots of selections. Their cuisine is Pan-Asian. The food was amazing. I had a crispy duck spring roll and sirloin steak served on hot rocks. I would like to especially send my thanks to Anushka who was the hostess of the restaurant. She made sure that we had an amazing time throughout our dinner. She was really kind and attentive to our needs. I will definitely be visiting again soon and recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to have a nice dinner with fantastic service.

Wow, that was a very disappointing experience (23/12/2023), haven't been so disappointed in a restaurant in YEARS!. First, when you enter the hotel you get hit with their EXTRA STRONG parfum in the air, wow someone went crazy on the streinght and was so uncomfortable fortable just breathing, like when you go toa small toilet and spray for 5min a room deodoriser, you could taste it!. We had the coldest welcome from the hostess at the entrance of Chino Latino. We arrived at 12:45 pm for our 1 pm lunch booking. We were told with a 'I couldn't care less attitude,' while she finger-tapped on her computer screen to show us the time, that it's too early, and the restaurant is not open yet. What restaurant is not open at 12:45?!?! But then asked if we could sit at the bar and wait and have a drink. We were told yes, and that was it—no escorting, nothing. Arrived at the bar, and it was quiet just another 4 people with drinks already and we were ignored by the barwomen for 15 minutes while she was on her mobile phone. We had to call a few times for her attention. The cocktails were good, though. Then we were taken to our table, and the gentleman waiter didn't introduce himself or properly say hi. He couldn't care less for us; he was cold and nonchalant. His station was next to our table, but we had to scream for his attention as he was away with the fairies staring at the ceiling the all time. Attention should be on guests even more when the restaurant only had three tables. Then we went to the buffet, where names, labels, and allergens were missing (one of our guests is vegetarian and the other has allergies). So we had to ask twice for what it was, and the waitress had no idea. Then we had to wait more to get the signs out. She was apologetic, but come on, if you do a buffet, labelling is the minimum, and also, the team should know what they are serving. Worst part, was when we got to the dessert station, all of them were still hard frozen and the staff had to get them out and replace them with unfrosted one, so not even made on site. The restaurant had an amazing view of Big Ben, and that was it. The restaurant is soulless, and lacks personality and warmth. Feels like an airport lounge! What a shame Park Plaza Riverbank and Chino Latino used to have high standards back in the days when it was on the ground floor. What happened?! Also, don't you train or manage your staff? Put one star as the food was okay, one star for the view. With the price of the brunch and the drinks (cocktails are overpriced; this is not the Savoy), we ended up spending so much money for a very low-quality lunch/service. Would not recommend to anyone to go until they start caring for their offering and guests. If you don't, then don't do a brunch and close that restaurant and keep it for breakfast service only. They have ruined our Christmas get-together lunch :(

Fab food and service with great live music. It was very quiet for a Friday evening so not much atmosphere especially as lighting was quite bright.

Located in a prime spot right by the Thames with a beautiful view from the first floor, Chino Latino inside the Park Plaza Riverbank is a must-try. This Asian-Latin fusion restaurant is perfect for anyone looking to experience something new or rediscover classics from oriental cuisine. The portions are generous, and the flavors are well-balanced. Even for those new to spiced dishes, the flavors aren’t overwhelming. The drink menu is extensive, just like the dining area, but what really stands out is the friendly service. Both María and Evelyn made dinning an excellent experience, with patience and attention to detail. Highly recommended for anyone in the area!

This is a review for their dim sum masterclass! But if they are able to make random people do this tasty dim sums, their food must be amazing :) The workshop was fun and the chefs were so nice! I quite like the atmosphere and how everyone was super welcoming. Staff was so friendly. I’ll definitely go back there again

Went with my wife and had the £75 set menu. Each course was fantastic and the main of wagyu beef had some theatre as you had to cook yourself on a hot salt block. The whole experience was fantastic and even thought the bill was over £200 with drinks I thought it was good value for money. Would highly recommend

We had the £75 Set Menu and was absolutely fantastic. All the starters were very tasty, the duck spring rolls were fantastic and the best hoisin sauce we tasted! There was a bit of theatre with the mains as the Wagyu beef you cooked yourself on a hot salt block and the Seafood stew came in a massive pot which was beautiful and in fact the best we have tasted and we have ate similar in Portugal and Spain. Bill was just over £200 with non alcoholic drinks and thought it was very good value for money and would highly recommend.

I've eaten in many restaurants around the world and I'm in the service industry for close to 33 years. I stayed at the Park Plaza for 3 days from the 18th to the 20th of September and for three days I indulged at your gem of a restaurant Chino Latino. Very impressive. The cuisine is delectable and presentable with flair. Your interior settings enhanced my experience and the views of London and the river Thames added surreal value. However, the true piéce de résistance, is the server Evelyn. She is calm, cordial, extremely professional, with the hospitality that I expect from Michelin star restaurants. I work for the Omakasi Restaurant Group in San Francisco and we are an expanding, culinary experience. An advent of Asian Fusion restaurants with horizons broader than the word 'contemporary' can convey. Headed by our executive head chef, Chef Dustin Falcon previously chef at the renowned French Laundry, the three Michelin Star restaurant. So, with my experience, in this trade, I can say that Evelyn would be my first choice for server if I was given the option to have her on my team. My family and I recently dined at Chino Latino in the Park Plaza Hotel to celebrate both my birthday and my daughter’s. It was an unforgettable experience! The food was simply amazing, with chef Eddie adding a wonderful Brazilian touch to classic dishes that took them to another level. Every bite was fantastic! We were also extremely impressed with the service. Mattia, who was looking after us, made sure everything was perfect, and his attention to detail was spot on. This dinner was special, and we felt incredibly well looked after. Thank you for making our celebration so memorable!

Disappointing overall. Venue/location as part of a hotel lacked intimacy, and the food was heavy and underwhelming. Best thing was the service team who were friendly and helpful. Unlikely to return again even though the venue was local to us.

Really lovely food and drinks. Great entertainment too - very engaging and energetic singer. Experience somewhat let down by poor service. Clearly understaffed and those that were there seemed very inexperienced. The manager was excellent though and did his best to cover for the rest of the staff but was rushed off his feet.

One of the best culinary experience we have had in London. We made a reservation using our first table app, and had the pleasure to be attended by Mattia and Juan who is from Peru and spoke with us in Spanish! They both were excellent with the service. We sat at a table overlooking the Thames and the ambience of the restaurant is very nice, but the star or the lunch was the incredible food. We started with lentil tacos cassava chips, then we ordered curry and pork belly and closed with a three way latte dessert. We also had a bottle of Gavi white wine. Overall this was an absolute dream. My wife and I will certainly come back to try new things from the menu. My respects for the amazing chef!

Evelyn, was the best! Definition of good quality service. She was accurate with our orders and also did regular check-backs. I would definitely recommend her service. Lovely place as well.

I stayed here for my partners birthday last month, we had a great time in London as we are both from up north, I just found the review card in one of my pockets and thought I’d share my experience. My highlight was drinks at the bar with Karamat, what a lovely and knowledgeable gentleman, would definitely go back for his service again.

In the Park Plaza with lovely views of the Thames. The hosts and server staff couldn't be nicer, and very professional too. I enjoyed one of their hard-to-find Gino's and European tonic - very good for a Simple mixed drink. I loved their BBQ babyback ribs (from the bar menu) and bok choy side (from the regular menu). They were both very good. Everyone in our group said they enjoyed their food. Full bar. I recommend it highly.

Just one note...chicken is always cooked well...everything else is perfect

We arrived there for lunch at 12:35pm, it was very quiet, we were the only one who was there at the time. We seated by the window looking at the river Thames which was very nice, and the table was very spacious for 2 people and I was very impressed by that. We seated at the restaurant area instead of the bar area though later we found that there was a separate food menu for the bar which we actually were quite tempted to try. At first my husband wanted to order beef short ribs but he was told they didn’t have that in stock, so he changed to pork belly, and again it was out of stock as well, we were not very impressed by that to be honest, we also had Cheung Fun and French beans tempura as starters, I liked the French beans tempura very much, while the rice noodles of Cheung fun was a bit too thick, which we know it should suppose to be thin to make it more delicate and delicious. The portion of the main meal was quite small as well. To sum up I would say I like the vibe of the restaurant (quiet and nice view), but the food could be better.

As I was in a group of people ready to move on I didn’t complain , and my companions were praising me for the choice of restaurant. The staff were kind and willing to help just obviously poorly trained. The three piece band live music (Friday night) was fantastic. Enjoyed by all in the restaurant. My advice is to go but keep pushing the service timeliness.

Arrived at restaurant, met by friendly staff and taken to table, offered water which arrived straight away . Had a table with river view and listened to live music. Noticed other diners arriving after ourselves After 20 minutes the other diners (who had arrived after us) had placed their orders for food, We still had not had a waiter attend to us so decided to leave which was a shame as this was booked for my partners 60th birthday present and the menu looked fantastic Can’t comment on food but the service was awful. Would not recommend this restaurant and spoilt a lovely few days away

Chino Latino is a hotel restaurant. Very fancy looking, but don’t be fooled - the menu is really well priced (especially if you book on the fork app). It’s a bit tricky to pin point the menu - it is Japanese with a bit of Peru, Korea and USA. They do burgers for the kids, sushi for the fish lovers and some tasty skewers for the meat lovers. We waited for about five minutes before being acknowledged at the welcome desk but after that, the staff were on form and made sure we had the best evening. Food - amazing Service - great Wine - awesome Music - a delightful surprise I will definitely be going back to try some of their bigger dishes (we stuck to dim sum as it was sooo good!) A great place for date night and a family meal. Very sophisticated!

We normally avoid restaurants in hotels as they tend to be poor but we have this one a go based on its reviews. It was surprisingly good. Food was tasty and beautifully presented. Views of the Thames are great and there was live music on. Service was incredibly slow. We waited 20 minutes for a bottle of wine to be delivered and even longer for the food. I was also given a pot of rice with my food. I almost burnt myself trying to remove the lid, having to dip my fingers into a glass of water. It could only be removed with a napkin. Otherwise, I would recommend.

I was lucky enough to visit here on my to Portugal, couple hours in London pent well. The highlight was Karamat at the bar, amazing people skills, great drinks and quite a talker. The food was very nice but the bar is where I had my fun, quick footnote they also have live music which was an extra treat.

Chino Latino in London is disappointing. Despite friendly service, I had to call the staff several times. The poke chucks and spinach were fresh but poorly cooked and overpriced. The seared tuna was bland. The “wagyu” steak was a shameless “lie”. It was just a mediocre chunk of overpriced meat. The accompanying sauces were a joke. The atmosphere was good but marred by bad music. Overall, clearly plenty of fake reviews inflated their ratings 4 on Google.

The portions are seemingly small at first but they left me feeling full and nourished. The flavours are so layered and lovely. The food is delectably presented. The staff and chef are attentive to different dietary needs (I asked if they served halal and they made sure to check with the kitchen if any of the meats were halal). There was smooth music and light projections on the walls. The interiors were warm and welcoming, with large windows facing the river Thames. Being positioned upstairs in a hotel, the lobby smelt amazing and made us feel welcomed as we approached the restaurant. Overall, immaculate vibes. Will be coming back with my friends. I recommend coming as a group and getting the shared dessert platter after your meal. It's fun, fresh and fruity. Doesn't make you feel heavy, which I like for dessert. We each got about 2 food items between the 4 of us, plus the dessert platter, and when we split the bill, each of us paid around £31, which is very decent considering the quality of food.

Great view and decor. Very interesting menu. Quite Unique. Wagyu comes on an Salt cooker which is cool. All the dishes we had were super tasty. Good service and look forward to returning.

I was in a work trip when a young striking man going by the name of Karamat approached me and offered a solution to my pain. He did not disappoint. Crisp. Fresh. Soothing. All the things you look for in an after work beverage, served with that charming smile and fresh fade, I just couldn’t say no! Will be returning again but only for Karamat, not the city!

We were on a work trip and staying at the park plaza in London. The bar man Karamat was most helpful with my stay for where best to eat. And his help at the bar was something else . Where he helped us what to drink and what’s best.

Terrible service and when we entered they told us that we had to wait an hour for the dessert that never arrived, it didn't come.

We have experience of the Chino Latino in Park Plaza Riverbank from nearly 18 years ago (when it was situated at the ground floor level) and currently up to now. At that time Chino Latino was a high-ranking restaurant in London with an outstanding level of both menu and service. However, this is not the fact any more. Over time the standard has degraded slowly, and this evening was an emergency landing compared to previously standards. The ordered wine for both the starter and the main menu had to be requested for both times. Only a team leader seems to have general view of understanding. The Menzaifu set menu was ordered, and last a huge bowl of Seafood moqueca enough for four or six persons landed on the table without any explanation. After the dinner, coffee etc. was decided at the bar, but the selection here is now less that in a minor pub. Summing up, after 18 years’ experience at Chino Latino, this was the most expensive and most downgraded dinning at all, and we have off course decided not to repeat any visit to Chino Latino anymore, as there is no value for money compared to the price.

Tara, our waitress was lovely. The food was lovely and nice selection for kids. We loved the live music and the singer interacted with everybody. A lovely experience!

I had an amazing time with my boyfriend at Chino Latino. Good is incredibly good and tasty. I have never had sushi like this before. The waiter was incredible he has very amazing customer service

I came here with my partner and young son and a fantastic birthday dining experience. They provided my 3 year old with a colouring pack to entertain himself while he waited for his food which I was pleasently surprised by! When the waiter noticed that my son was fascinated by my cherries on my cocktail glass he went out of his way to take my sons apple juice back and put some cherries and an apple slice on it for him- he loved it. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious and presented well. As I couldn't have any cake desserts for my birthday due to a dairy allergy they presented me with a beautiful fruit platter which of course I had to share with my son because he was in awe of the fruits on there that he had never seen before (dragon fruit, starfruit)- it was very appetizing to look at and taste. There was a 'tiny' issue with our dining experience which needn't be disclosed here but the manager came over to personally ensure that we would be taken care of, we appreciated the gesture. It hasn't put us off whatsoever in wanting to return and we will do so sometime in the future! Thankyou for a delightful dinner Chino Latino.

Karamat is the reason for this review. The guys is just full of life and energy and made this simple bar experience much more fun than it was going to be. Check out this spot and ask for Katamat if he is around. He will make sure you are taken care of. Highly recommended.

Loved loved loved Chino Latino. The food (especially the blow torched salmon nigiri) were amazing. The service was very attentive and the ambiance was perfect for a lovely dinner with friends.

Special thanks to Cristian, Karamat and Alin who made sure everything was perfect from the atmosphere to the food and drinks. They kept us informed and checked on us regularly throughout our dinner to make sure everything was good. The view was very nice, especially during sunset. We will definitely come back again.

Went back after many years. The moved it at first floor with a nice view on Thames.' Service was good (they made a mistake on the order but made up for it). Very kind and attentive. Menu is more of a standard japanese than the mix it used to be. Some dishes (ie squid, salmon roll) were not up to a good standard. Rest was well presented and very tasty. The previous menu was far more interesting. They gave a nice complimentary dessert for our announcement. Well appreciated

Spent an evening at the Chino Latino bar, and Karamat's service and drinks were amazing. They need to put his drink on the menu, everyone should taste it!! It was a sweet cocktail and well presented, wish I took a picture :/

Place is amazing and the barman Adrian made the best drink ever! You should totally try the Passion fruit Martini. My first time trying it and it was perfect!
