A superb cafe with great food, we stopped on our way through & we weren't disappointed & would recommend & return. Coffee was great & we both had toasties, cheese /ham & goats cheese/red onion chutney, both delicious with coleslaw & side salad & the most delicious homemade salad dressing, I meant to ask what it was before I left but got distracted on the way out by the lovely shop at the front of the cafe! Highly recommend.

Just occasionally, you find somewhere that has absolutely everything absolutely right. Lovely rustic setting, at the rear of the shop, with additional tables outside. Welcome and service good. We ordered toasties and tap water. The latter came in a bottle, with iced glasses - always a plus. Toasties were excellent. So many places fail on them but these were very, very good indeed. Delicious bread, no skimping on the fillings and a small bottle of dressing supplied to go with the small side salad. All remarkably good value for such quality.

The cafe lies through a shop which is very pleasant in itself, stocked with interesting items and clothes. Cafe has an outside area but it was a little cold for that so we settled at a table in the tastefully and interestingly decorated interior. Welcome and service were excellent. We chose a cheese and apple toastie and a bacon sandwich from a good menu, with tap water which came chilled in a Kilner style bottle. Both meals were excellent, with all condiments provided. Very good value for money; been before and will go again.

We’ve been here often and thought it was about time I wrote a review. My friend and I usually come in on a Saturday for coffee…sometimes with cake (all delicious…particularly the carrot cake) but at the moment we seem to have become addicted to the amazing brie and cranberry toastie! It comes with lovely coleslaw and salad. The food is delicious, coke is lovely and the service is fab. Always bustling…but we always seem to manage to get a table. Everyone is friendly and chatty and we often meet new people. Not to mention the lovely things you can buy in the shop. Very happy customers!

On a beautiful sunny day we stopped off in Beaminster, and found this little gem of a place, it is situated at the back of the shop, we took full advantage of the sun and sat in the courtyard. The ladies serving were lovely, and accommodated my tweaked request for the Special of the Day Panini. The menu is very varied, I just wish I had room to try the lovely looking cakes. Will definitely be returning on our next visit to Dorset.

It has a range of women's fashions, a wide selection of greeting cards, kitchen gadgets etc and for me the most important of all located at the back is a cosy café for lunch and if the weather is warm a small quiet courtyard as a cooler alternative. Visited here today for the first time. We had fabulous hot chocolate with cream & marshmallows plus a delicious toasted teacake each, the cafe is really nice, all the cakes are covered by glass domes (I hate seeing uncovered cakes being breathed on by the public!), very reasonable prices and the staff friendly. But what an odd set up. The kitchen is right at the other end of the shop with the waitresses having to walk past clothes and gifts whilst carrying hot drinks, soup, lunches, etc etc. What happens if they bump into a customer or worse still, a child and it results in hot food being spilt? We wandered through to the clothes department which was really good but it reeked of the smell of cooking as it is positioned by the open kitchen door. How can you look at or buy clothes with the off putting combination of smells, kitchen noise and staff manoeuvring around clothes racks with plates of food? I am surprised this passes health and safety.

We have visited Beaminster many times and have usually made straight to our holiday destination, however on this occassion we felt we needed some lunch and refreshments. At first I noticed the enticing shop front and after entering had notice the delightful cafe at the rear. Myself and my family enjoyed a lovely fresh and well presented salad with pate and toast and a wonderful cup of tea, infact, so impressed were we we sort out to find the brand of tea and have managed to purchase it back home. This was a great start to a lovely holiday.

It was nice to find a friendly place to stop have a drink and use a loo. Beaminster is a nice place to stop and purchase a few quirky things from your shop. Well done, All the best for the future.

The landlord today served me the most delicious coffee. The best coffee I have had this year. The pub was fantastic. Lovely decor and spotlessly clean. I look forward to visiting again soon.

A small hidden Cafe hidden down a side alleyway, delivers a big smile through it's food and warm welcoming hosts. They make delicious salads, homemade crustless quiche, large saucer style macaroons, homemade sausage rolls and vege rolls. It's the only place in Dorchester that i feel the food is good for you, cooked on the spot there that day, great coffee and choice of tea's etc. Seating is limited and very sadly due to it's size of premises maybe closed due to Covid, please double check. They have worked so hard and deserve all our support

Sunday lunch was not very good. Waiter ate food and drank at the bar constantly. Emptied bins and didn't wash his hands. Chef sat at the bar in between orders. Food arrived and was tasteless, meat tough and when asked for cranberry sauce the waiter arrived with a plastic tub to serve it!
