City Kebab House in North Hertfordshire

Wasn’t going to write this review, I was going to support this local business by grabbing a quick snack for myself, however the man behind the counter was really rude, he proceeded to to tell me after my burger was made they don’t accept card there was no sign or any sort of communication he was trying to get me into the back of the shop for some reason lord knows why but I apologise and said sorry I don’t have cash and he proceeds to say “no worries this goes in bin now” whilst proceeding to throw the burger in the bin; I also notice a few times whilst preparing my food he was touching his face and head with his hands. DO NOT GO HERE for even a cheap meal.

A bit disappointed tonight the food was cold and it seemed like the Donna meat was undercooked, not sure if it is still run by the same person as it is normally very good, I will leave it for now and try again in a few months to see if it improves.

Honestly the food is fantastic, the portions are generous, and they are very quick to deliver. I won't order Kebab from anyone else as nothing comes close to City

Only found out after ordering that it would take an hour, to an hour and 20 minutes, which was pretty disappointing. It arrived after an hour and 10 minutes, which was fine, but the pizza crust was pretty hard, and cheese was over cooked. Not great.

Food was lovely and hot when arrived. Order was spot on. Best kebab in Letchworth.

food was cold, courier couldn’t find address , didn't bother to call me, knocked on door then walked off before I could answer, thermal bag was open.

Delivery was quick but instead of 2 lamb shish kebabs 2 donors were delivered instead.

Chips were burnt. Beans and chips were that cold the cheese hadn't melted. Kebab was also cold. Dog enjoyed it all!!

Food was delicious, hot and exactly what we ordered.

On delivery, my order was wrong. After speaking to them, it was soon corrected and delivered. Can't fault the quality at all. Always enjoyed my food from this restaurant.

I have moved house. Realised immediately after ordering that it was going to the wrong address. No way of contacting them. All phone numbers either don’t connect or don’t ring. Utterly useless.

Had the large mixed kebab. Lots of meat and fresh crunchy salad. Also got the nuggets and chips for the kids. Large portions. Delivery within 30 minutes on a Friday evening. Would recommend

Parked up walked upto this shop & changed my mind.. got weird feeling about this place' that's a first for me..! didnt fancy ordering/eating from here based on a pure gut feeling. Hmm Ordered home delivery 3 yrs later :-( I was absolutely 💯 right Chicken no taste Chili sause wasn't 🌶 No taste whatsoever Salad limp Poor chips. Cash only delivery

Cheese used on pizza and garlic bread was definitely not mozzarella and totally ruined it. Couldn’t eat it.

Blimey, the Kebab I ordered was massive! I ordered a mixed kebab, with chicken, lamb and doner meat, it tasted amazing. You could taste the charcoal grill flavour on the meats. Delivered early too.

I think the pizza base sauce and chilli sauce has changed and I preferred the original. Plenty of salad and chicken was cooked well.

Took an hour to arrive. Chicken shish kebab? Not lovely cubed marinated meat just a small piece of thin butterflied cold tasteless chicken in a soggy pitta with some sort of thick gloopy sauce that was supposed to be garlic Mayo?? Donner kebab also cold in soggy pitta with said gloopy sauce and again tasteless . Inedible . We ate the small chips between us !

Food was delicious and arrived hot. Made a change for a meal to be delivered early/on time. Well done City Kebab & Pizza, we will be definitely ordering from you again.

Great but cheesecake portions have halved in last 6 months, naughty!

Chicken shish and kofta kebab were so salty that it was hard to finish so two portions went to waste. Fries were old but still fine. Lamb doner was OK. Portions generous shame we were not able to enjoy them.

Very good kebab shop the taste is really good and is not expensive. They provide Halal food.

Was a little dubious hen I walked into shop. Could really do with a deep clean. However, I still ordered. Strangely, the food was good. Combi kebab and chips. Chicken shish was nicely cooked, doner meat was tasty. Chips nice and crispy. Salad was also good. Chilli sauce seemed to be missing the chilli. Also got a free can of drink thrown in. Portion size was good and very reasonably priced. Bloke behind the counter wasn't the friendliest of people. 🤣.

Food was good but a meal was missing and despite trying to call repeatedly their line was constantly engaged. Have requested a refund through just eat so I hope this is processed quickly

Kebab I ordered was cold with dry pieces of meat and an old chilli sauce which tasted like vinegar. .. horrible and rude customer service and would doubt if the place is clean in general. Absolutely not recommended, don’t waste your time and appetite, go somewhere else.

Good food and good service from City Kebab & Pizza. A little disappointed that the donner kebab does not come served with green chillies, which is usual with that from other places, though a good amount of meat is included. Chips & beans are good value.

Not much of a verity on salad and too much sauce

Very disappointed, Have had kebabs from here before and have been hot and tasty. This time absolutely cold tasteless chicken . We asked for garlic sauce to be added and I can only presume they didn’t have any and substituted it with some unknown white sauce that was disgusting, we couldn’t eat them.

Food quality was very good and the amount made it very good value too. Burger was very tasty and the chips with cheese & beans was a good sized portion also.

Kebab had more lettuce than actual salad,Came with no sauce!! The chicken shish tasted really salty,The pita bread tasted awful & the onion rings had no onions in them......so overall very disappointed!! The only bit of food that tasted ok was the chips. Will not be going back to this place again!!!

I've never ordered a kebabe where you have to cut the bread & make it yourself . The food was so awful.

Chicken kebab was lovely. Plenty of salad and meat and the chili sauce was tasty. I liked the pickled red cabbage. Plus onion rings and a bottle of coke. I really enjoyed my meal tonight.

Too much onion not much lettuce Doner meat not cooked enough Chicken nice Lamb nice Didnt follow instructions for no salad on one order and 2 chilli sauce and 1 garlic sauce instead of 4 garlic sauce. Other than that good food filling 😊😊
