just meh, didn't have half the menu for lunchtime service!

We had our work Christmas party in the 1st floor bar and had such a great time!

We went to our friends wedding ceremony party with 60 guests there. For 60 guests they only had 1 bar staff and when I ask about the wine to “ looks like a manager” he was so rude. The food was great but they took it off straight away when they were lots of food left. The host hardly had any time to eat hosting the guests and when I turn around I saw staff putting all the foods in “ Their” goody bags. When we ask for take away of the left over food they said they can not give it for food and safety reason! That was all the food that my friend paid for! That was What a rip off. I do not recommend this place.

Seems a nice spot in a small square... Nice area. Must've caught the server on a bad day, a bit surly. Went to sit outside, was sent back in shortly afterwards as it was after 10pm... So watch out for that.

Had my 40th here!! Fab evening with great staff, helpful and friendly staff working the bar on the night. Excellent comms and planning from Georgie and the team. So incredibly helpful. Food was delicious and went down a treat and fantastic drinks and cocktails. All were wonderful!! 3 small bits of feedback which is why slightly less on atmosphere : - it was hot! A little more air on would have been a treat! - The lights were gorgeous but couldn’t be dimmed so felt quite bright on dance floor- incase there were shy people they may not want to dance as much. Overall an excellent night and I would defo recommend the venue and Use it again!!

I come here every once in a while for years now and i have never been dissapointed, even if the staff has changed over time, ive always felt welcomed and taken care of. Norbert, Noemie, Maya and Lara are a great team. the drinks are delicious and the food is of a high quality. A great place to enjoy your afterwork beer or a get-together with friends on a weekend! :)

Drinks reception for a leaving party for 65 people. Space and atmosphere was excellent. Norbert and staff thank you so much for managing the night so well and being so responsive. Service excellent. Feasting canape menu was superb. Really good food that kept on coming. Kitchen excellent. Would definitely use again!

Great bar. Staff are lovely, friendly and helpful. Pizza was AMAZING and the decor is cosy. One of my favourite places in Clerkenwell. Thanks for being warm and welcoming!

Just left here, would never go back. Rudest service I've ever had in London. My colleague asked for a drink, and was served an alternative without checking that it would be acceptable. When she challenged the order saying (politely) 'oh, if I had known you didn't have the drink I would have ordered something else' the waiter responded 'I'm telling you now', with a literal sneer. He spilled drinks on our stuff with no apology, and was just rude through every interaction.

Had such a good time here for my 40th - the venue is stunning and the atmosphere is great. We were all well looked after as well.

Fui tan educado al pedir mis bebidas y la señora con el cordón alrededor del cuello fue tan desdeñosa y grosera. El asiento interior no es ideal, sin embargo, la comida y las bebidas eran geniales! Volvería a regañadientes si el servicio fuera mejor, esperemos que mejore.

We organised a party for 40 people on the top floor of this venue and everything was great! Benny the event manager was always prompt about getting back to us via email, the venue had a great atmosphere, the food was top tier and Norbert's customer service was faultless. He looked after us the entire night and was really polite, friendly and helpful. Thank you guys! We will come again for sure.

I really enjoyed my time at the Clerkenwell and Social. The service food and drinks were superb. Very friendly staff who welcomed me and my group in open arms. I appreciate the service of everyone. Especially Noemi and Norbee who made our experience worthwhile.

Great place but no hand washing facilities, I was forced to use watery bad sanitiser... also, there was no fruit to be seen in my drinks.... I'd probably visit again.

Drinks were terrible and the staff were rude

This place was extremely busy when I went on a Tuesday night so that’s always a good sign however the staff were very stern and unapproachable. I was so polite when ordering my drinks and the lady with the lanyard round her neck was so dismissive and rude. The indoor seating is not ideal however the food and drinks were great! I would reluctantly return if the service was better, hopefully it improves.

This is such a lovely pub. They serve food which is higher quality than most pubs. The staff is friendly and helpful. They're open on Mondays which is great for us locals. It's also dog friendly. 🐕 Great cocktails

I rocked up on a Saturday afternoon looking for a nice place to have a chat and a decent choice of tipples, and this place did the business very well. It is not extravagant or pretentious, it just does the simple things well with a nice view of the square out the window.

Great find! Love the interior. Staff are very attentive. Incredible cocktails and the rosemary fries is a must have!

It was a quiet rainy day when I came here. Small bar with lots of outdoor seating. Prices about usual for the area. Decent selection of beer. Did not have food.

Sadly my visit was very disappointing! Waited over 50 minutes for a margarita pizza. Was asked to pay before my food or drink arrived but wasn’t given a bill just shown a card reader then was given a receipt after. Unknowingly paid a service charge which is ridiculous for one person! Especially when the service was so bad!

Went here quite late for a drink and a bite to eat on a bit of a whim... Let's start with the positives; + The pizza was absolutely delicious here - nice thin crust, and good taste to the cheese, tomato and salami. Didn't have the olives advertised on Google Maps, but didn't mind too much. + Serving staff were friendly (seen reviews on here saying otherwise, but they were friendly and polite). Negatives; - The sharing 'social board' option which is about £15 is so bad! The scamorza croquettes are a salty non-distinct flavoured mush on the inside, the arancini again had a softer than expected mushy texture and flavours were not good, and there's about 1.5 slices of salami provided. Strongly recommend swerving this option! - The bar staff said we'd have ten more minutes outside when ordering drinks, but immediately after paying and carrying, the security man refused to let us take them outside, instead insisting that we move all our existing drinks and little food inside. The real kicker was seeing a server take a drink to another table outside. We complied without kicking a fuss, but this contradiction felt like discrimination. Regretfully, will not return to this place for that reason.

One of the best spots in town. I heard of it because of the new Jonas Brothers video and saw that it's actually a really cool spot to rent out for private parties, and just as good for having a casual night out. The staff were so competent (particularly the girls) and accommodating to my requests and recommended I try their signature pizzas. 10/10 Hands down best spicy margarita I've had in a long time!

It’s unfortunate that the staff insist on being so consistently rude at this pub. The pub is at a great location within clerkenwell, with a mixture of indoor and outdoor seating. However, be prepared for rude staff from the get go, and a bad selection of drinks. Whether there is 2 of you or 40, they don’t care about customers and will treat you all as if they would rather you weren’t there. We have now tried this place multiple times reluctantly and it probably gets worse each time. Be careful not to let them add service charge on already expensive drinks, particularly if you are ordering food as well as drinks. Perhaps under new management it may be a good place to go for a drink or food as it’s a great location. However, for the time being there are much better places in the area and so it should be avoided at all costs.

First visit to this place what a fantastic place. We were there for a post wedding and farewell get together. Good food , good drink inc 0% alcohol beer (lager😝) will certainly be going back there if they get 0% Doombar in.

Friday afternoon drinks, absolutely empty. had to ask twice for a drinks menu, went up to bar to order, drinks took a long time to be ready, went up to bar to collect and staff tried to charge £6 table service charge....

The staff at this place were super angry and jaded, their drinks are over priced and their soda is flat

Booked here for a birthday drink before dinner. The outside area was nice, but the service was so so slow. We were sat for 15 minutes before we were even acknowledged and then it took me asking two times to have the table cleared from the last guests. When the drinks finally came they were nice - but doesn’t discount the terrible service.

Delicious cocktails set in a few cute square in Clerkenwell. The drinks are more that your typical cosmos with really interesting flavours and well executed mixes. Inside can get quite crowded with after work drinkers, but if it is a nice day, sitting outside under their heaters, you forget you're in central London.

Surprisingly really good! Pizza was great, service was attentive and friendly and the bathrooms were clean.

Booked for a private party in the upstairs room and they made everything so easy for us; it's comfortable, the PA was all ready- you can play your own music, nb but you'll need a headphone jack in your device- they had a place to hang coats and in general it's just a really really good space; we were about 60 people and it wasn't so loud you couldn't hear, and you have a dedicated barman. Will definitely book again.

I'm here a lot.....😬, but there's a decent reason for that. Excellent service, nice location, great selection of beers/wines. Near perfect Pizza.

Dont ask for cocktails only half measures smallest glass I've ever been given. My advice dont bother find an all bar one if you want value for money .

This venue cancelled our booking last minute, they were very rude and hostile. Wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. They didn’t give a reason for doing so and left us out having to find a new venue at the time the event was supposed to be happening.

We booked this venue weeks in advance with a paid deposit to run a social event for my not for profit organisation. It was clear the event would be a social event - we had booked a DJ which the venue was aware of and it was an evening event. One of our members arrived early and was greeted rudely, then when she went to use the bathroom they closed the shutters of the venue. By the time we arrived, they had our new guests in the space that we had hired, and told us that we had booked a conference. Why would we want to run a conference on a Saturday night in a bar with a DJ? We were accused of telling all sorts of lies and it was clear that the staff were not going to allow us to have an enjoyable evening, so we ended up leaving and having to change the venue after the event was meant to start. This made us look extremely unprofessional. The venue looks great but I wouldn’t recommend anyone use it. I’ve never experienced anything like this in my life!

The staff here were so rude that the organisers of the event I attended had to change venues last minute! They caused so much stress!

Went there for a friend's webbing celebration. Great atmosphere and we had a great time. Staff were really nice and considerate. They were constantly checking if there were enough glasses for everyone, coming around to let us know when new finger food was served and keeping everywhere clean and tidy.

Great place to eat and drink while hanging out with friends. The space outdoors is comfortable quiet and great to spend an evening with a large group of people. Beers and cocktails are always good, the chicken wings were the star, food wise.

Visited this place 2 days ago. The atmosphere was lovely, and even though the terrace was full, inside, the AC was on, so it was pleasant. As the place has many options for drinks, and I struggle to decide, the waitress helped me by suggesting few drinks. The waitress made the experience very pleasurable as she was friendly yet professional, making small chat. Her name was Sheila, a black haired lady (thank you again for the excellent service🙏). The place is clean and stylish. Would come again. P.s. the pizza I've ordered was a different shape than usual so I was confused at first 🤣

This is my 3rd visit to the Clerkenwell & Social this year, on two occasions it was for a birthday celebration. The bar staff are wonderful and incredibly knowledgeable, The space is perfect for socialising in a large group and yeh outdoor terrace was perfect for a drink on a summers night. Thank you for making last an easy night out in London (which isn’t always easy to achieve!)

Service was lovely, very attentive and friendly. It was lovely sitting outside in the warm summer evening air. The drinks were tasty and so was the food. Would definitely visit again.

Perfect place for after work drinks. Located in the city, Clerkenwell and Social is open until late, and accepts party bookings, whereby alcohol licence can be extended. Staff are friendly and inviting, and atmosphere is more 'cute and cosy' than 'large and sophisticated'!

Really delicious Lychee martini. The kitchen closed really early and we couldn't get even cold snacks. Wish we could order food.

Clerkenwell & Social is a very nice Pub in Farringdon London with 2 floors (upstairs is for private events) I've been asked to DJ here a few times and it's always a nice vibe. Professional & friendly staff, amazing drink specials and a very nice venue to host a party 🎉🎈

On just his trial shift he ran the place. Mark my words... Will be a manager in a weeks time! He took care of us well after work and he definitely deserved the service charge.

Really nice venue great use of the function room. The bar staff were very good and kept the beer flowing all night. Food was really good. Lovely evening.

I had a birthday for approx. 80 people in early January and everyone loved it. Firstly, the events team at the head office are incredible - got back to me really quickly, able to move the dates and change the timings based on what I wanted from minimum spend etc. Staff were lovely and venue decor is stunning. Only slight criticism is that you can only redeem against your minimum spend whilst at one bar - this got very busy whilst there was no one downstairs, and also there was no craft beer upstairs for some of the guests. This was a small part of a great evening - cleared up after us all, let me take decorations and play my own music, and kept my gifts to collect when I could. 11/10 venue. Also served food to those who wanted, who said it was great!

This is such a great place, the food and especially the pizza is to die for! Reasonable priced for the location!

Busy Thursday evening and I had been waiting 10 minutes at bar to ensure I met the 2 for 1 food offer deadline as I was so hungry but the bar lady served another who was there after me so I missed deadline and what was worse was she didn’t even apologise when she told me I was too late after I explained what happened. Just sour faced and didn’t care. Very poor service!!!

I threw a surprise party here this weekend just gone in the upstairs bar. The venue is so stunning and was perfect for what I was after. The staff were incredible- so polite and helpful, they made the evening run extremely smoothly. Although the sound system was not very loud the flowing drinks helped keep the atmosphere at a great level. If you’re looking to have more dancing I’d say source your own sound system. Will definitely be coming back. Thank you to Kendal and the team for all your help!

Nice bar, but! just too woke, I don't think having gender neutral toilets in a bar/pub setting is progress.

The atmosphere was nice, lovely wait staff, good pizzas - vegan pizzas too! A little expensive but probably in keeping with the area.

A highly recommend this place. I have been for a birthday party. We were around 90 people. Cool space, great atmosphere, nice buffet as well. We had everything we needed. For parties and groups is great!

Came here with the girls for a much-needed catch up and we were treated like queens. Enjoyed the 241 cocktails, then got a perfect margarita mixed just for me by the bar tender as it was my birthday. Music is good and atmosphere is really friendly. Best bar I’ve been to in this area and they do really tasty pizzas too - perfect for soaking up the cocktails! Can’t wait to come back.

Great place, friendly staff and fab drinks. Met up with some friends for Thursday night drinks. Staff really friendly and service was great. Fab night. Will return!

Lovely staff and great ambience

Nice place. Good atmosphere. Staff were pleasant although the cocktail maker with the tash and beard needs to learn to smile a little bit more. Security guard was a diamond, very helpful. My cocktail, a corleoni, was great, but our group had tons if ice in theirs. But cheaper here than a lot of other places.

Went for an engagement party the place was soo hot everyone was sweating wouldn't put the ac on and they shut all the windows. Only 2 people on the bar had to wait very long to get drinks. Didn't have certain drinks. Had no pink gin and there gin and tonics were tasteless.

Great local - Piza's are amazing, especially valie and for soaking up the beer.

Good place to drink and the snack food and pizzas are super tasty, genuinely great, but the seating... Something's gotta be done about the seating. There is only one comfortable place to sit in the bar, otherwise it's all high chairs, awkward to get on and off, or outside there are thick legged tables and thick heavy benches along them. Careful if you are in a group, the benches can only accommodate two or three people semi comfortably even though there is space for more but the table legs cush extra peeps knees. The only spare chairs are high chairs so you end up with people excluded from conversation because they tower above the other people at the table and cant reach food and drink. Daft. They only have a small outdoor space and it's seating could be so much more accomodating and fit more people in comfortably. If you go, book a table and only a group max of four for comfortable seating.

The door man was very professional, friendly and polite. However the waitress we had on the night had a major attitude problem and was incredibly rude. We didn’t want to stay any longer than we had to. So we drank up very quickly and left

Unfortunately the service was really slow and so it was 35 mins after sitting down before we got a drink. The cocktails were very mediocre and were nothing special at all - I wouldn’t recommend them. One of the staff members (the guy making the cocktails) had a real attitude and came across as really arrogant. I won’t go back for a while until the staff turn and they employ nice people who can actually make a cocktail.

Generally a good spot for a drink both inside and outside with plenty of outdoor seating. Good selection of beers,wine and spirits. Can get very busy sometimes and service can get stretched.

Great pizza and service. We happened to be walking past and stopped in for a pizza and beer. The service is very attentive and they clearly care about their customers. If we're in the area we'll be back.

Food was nice.. Servers were incredibly rude Jorginho & Alessandro both were angry at us and insinuated we had low intellect by saying we had no common sense To say this to a customer is so belittling and ruined our day out, not only this he kept talking on top of us and would not let us speak at all! Someone's intellect should never be used as an insult
