Absolutely beautiful cafe. I went there for a rest after a rather traumatic car journey and all the staff were wonderful. They straightaway brought me a glass of water and a cup of tea and toast. I had to insist on paying for it. I was able to relax before carrying on with my journey.

Stopped for lunch, nice choice, had the chilli and chips and croque monsieur which came with side salad and chips, both good portions and tasty. Liked the building above is the YHA accommodation

Sadly I cannot write a very positive report which I usually do. On this occasion I was attending the biannual Caughley lectures. Most of us use the cafe as it is so convenient. I pre ordered soup which is what I always do. On collecting my soup I remembered that the last time the soup had had been luke warm. I therefore politely asked the lady behind the counter if she could just pop it in the microwave for one minute. She assured me she had just served the soup & that it was hot. I mentioned that the last time the soup had been luke warm. I appreciate she was busy serving all of us, but I felt it was not too much to ask. The soup turned out to be warm, I did not feel like queuing again, so left the matter. On a brighter note the orange & chocolate cake came up to expectations! Advice, if you like hot soup beware!

Stopped by for coffee. Could do with a revamp! Decor a bit tired.considering the amount of tourists it must pull in. Ok for stop off but won't be drinking coffee there again. The Latte very bitter and extremely strong.Burnt coffee beans Maybe? Staff friendly enough though.

We had homemade soup and crusty rolls. Reasonable price and very tasty. The staff were attentive and obliging. We asked for two more rolls. Good cup of coffee too. What's not to like.

This is a handy cafe which I've been to many times. Over the last few years it has greatly increased the menu. Baked potatoes, soups, sanwiches, paninis are all available, cakes as well. There is a nice outdoor eating area outside for the fine weather. Loos available inside. All on ground level, easy access for wheelchair users. Prices are all very reasonable. A welcome break after exploring the china museum.

Part of the YHA in a lovely setting, serving tasty good value meals. Handy if you're walking, cycling or visiting the area for the museums. Friendly service and pleasant surroundings. 2 courses for under a tenner. What's not to like?

This is part of the Youth Hostel & is open for the general public. It is very convenient if you are visiting the Coalport China Museum as it is next door! There is a good variety of snacks & lunches on the menu all reasonably priced. Service was quick & the staff are helpful. Loos are well looked after

This great cafe is part of YHA Ironbridge Coalport and any one can use it. It is clean, bright and is housed in one of the original factory buildings of the Coalport China Works, on the banks of the river Severn with canal paths and old railway line walking routes to the iconic Iron Bridge. The food is well priced, straight forward and great tasting. The cafe has loads of character and is quite large. Parking for bikes, cars and muddy walkers' feet are OK.

We were in a large group for a birthday party. The service was poor/borderline rude, e.g. just dumping a pile of napkins/knives/forks on the one table. One of our party came back from the loo and had to wrap cutlery in napkins herself and hand them out to everyone. Husband and I had fish and chips special and a dessert which was a very nice meal. However, when my husband went to pay they tried to charge him £10 more than our bill (we worked it out before he went up to pay), he had to insist they check it again as it was wrong, which they did eventually and admitted the error. We left the main group as had a long drive home, when we got home had a text from my brother in law saying the pub told them we left without paying for one of our desserts so he had to pay! I had our receipt and proof we had paid. I called the manager, seemed apologetic but nothing came of it. We weren't out of pocket but our brother in law was and we were made to look dishonest by the pub when it was them. So, double check your bill at this place. We wouldn't return obviously.

Sadly this pub/restaurant is now closed .I went there with my family aged 12 to 76 . The menu had very good choices of starters mains and desserts. The food was beautifully cooked. The service was excellent, friendly but not overbearing or hurried. The pub is a very clean quaint old English pub with nooks and crannies. My brother and son loved the fact it was a free house and had a good selection of ales and beers. I will defiantly be going back for another meal on my next family visit to the Telford area.( 2014 )

Not many places have good quality and quantity but this place has both! Great service, friendly staff and the puddings were to die for! Will definitely return.
