Very kind gesture from Cobblers Hall. I had made an error when ordering on the app and ordered an additional meal. Which I only realised after it was cooked and brought to the table. They very kindly did give me a refund which they didn’t have to do. Excellent service as it was my fault. Thank you for doing that Cobblers Hall

Unreal atmosphere bar staff are class like Leicester city in 2016 especially benson what a kind young gentleman spoke like a true professional

Just moved to the area, and called in for an early tea on a Friday. The food was lovely, staff were friendly. It was pretty busy, but we were served quickly. Will definitely be back.

Fantastic place to watch the football multiple times a week with all the lads. Great staff that are welcoming and easy to get along with. Always surrounded by other respectful customers and can all have a great laugh. On top of it all outstanding pints of Stella. Best pub in DL5

Drop your prices to a reasonable price for a local pub (hence the high price per person above). Staff need to be more attentative. Took ages to get served and the place was dead.

Sunday night and typically, not many people about. That doesn't stop the staff from being super friendly and making sure we had a nice welcome. Duane has been a superstar. He gave us a few giggles while myself and the wife were visiting for the first time in a while. Can't remember the young person's name behind the bar, but he joined in on our jokes too. Overall, great pub, great staff, great food.

A Tight Drive in ; but a Busy little Spot! You can Shop for Many Groceries or Buy A Meal that's Hot. It is quite annoying in some Takeways where they merely deal with Cash. One has to wonder what's going on : Are 'They' Avoiding Tax or being Rash?

Christmas Day was exceptional here. Friendly, attentive staff and excellent food. The atmosphere was great and appropriate waiting time in between courses to allow for relaxing. We did not feel rushed out like we have at other establishments and for this reason we will definitely be back next year. Thank you to all of the staff and management for an amazing day.

Lovely cosy place to eat and drink, haven’t stayed here but been a few times for meals and they’ve always been lovely. Staff are friendly and the food has always been piping hot, tasty and they have lots to choose from

Booked a family Christmas Day Dinner for 1430 and when we arrived at 1425 we were rudely approached by the Manager who told us that our place was 1130 and we were too late causing unnecessary stress to us, his approach was absolutely unacceptable! My confirmation booking clearly showed 1430 and the Manager showed us his sheet of paper which did have us down as 1130 which was completely incorrect! The day before I received a text message as a reminder and informing me that our table was booked at 1130 so I immediately called and spoke to one of the staff to inform them it was 1430 and not 1130, it was explained to me that the table was booked out from 1130 for us as they weren’t turning the tables around and that our booking at 1430 was still booked! So poor customer service and communication with the on site team initially was very disappointing! The experience itself was pretty poor, staff pointing in our direction and position of table could have been better and chair we were allocated were not designed to sit and consume a three course meal and the ambiance was just like another day in Cobblers Hall with little effort to enhance a Christmas Day dining experience! The food overall was ok as was the service although we had to wait 45 minutes between finishing the starter and the main course served but the food and service is usually ok, but the initial welcome and attitude of the Manager was unacceptable and ruined the experience!

Here for Christmas lunch waited over 1 n half hours for food . Yorkshire pud was hard veg was hard . Really really bad attitude from the manager . Paid over 120 for crap

The Xmas dinner was probably the worst meal lve ever had service wasn't that good either £50 down the drain first and last time I think

A friendly welcome from Gemma who showed us to our table. The menu was very easy to navigate. The Sunday roast was amazing. Well presented and very tasty. We will definitely be visiting again.

Drinks FAR too expensive. I don't know if the bar staff knew the right prices.

Order things off the gluten free menu and that was ignored. Not until the food was tasted was it apparent. Which is too late for someone who is coeliac. This has the potential of hospitalisation for me.

You must try the pizza, it's fantastic.

Main courses were tasty. Desert was disappointing. Football match on every TV and piped into toilet whilst not for me. I can see why that would be a draw for fans.

Nice food, nice beer and a discount to boot! Recommended.

Me and my husband Derek came in on Sunday afternoon looking for something different than Sunday dinner, we both decided on mixed grill, which was a great portion size, all the meat was done to perfection all juicy and tasty. As we've never been before we didn't know what to expect but we were very happy with the pub, atmosphere, friendly staff and the food was delicious. Tour of Aycliffes finest , started at the Cobblers …….. decent pint , not too badly priced tbh but edging towards the likes of Manchester / Liverpool status. Atmosphere was good , warming outside , LGBT present and normal folk so decent tbf. Will return

It was my first visit with a friend. My first impression was favourable. The food was excellent. Well cooked and reasonably priced. The staff were efficient and friendly. Not a long wait for the food. I certainly would go back.

Popped in for a tasty evening meal which was very nice, speedy service and impressed by the young waiter (Jamie) who was very polite, attentive to detail and kept himself serving, tidying and cleaning the tables.

We booked a table and asked for one in window got a lovely round one the staff were really nice and welcomed us and showed us to the table a showed us the menu and asked if we wanted a drink we had a jacket potato with prawns and it was lovely well presented we really enjoyed it

8 ounce gammon steak, superb. Chips superb. 2 fried eggs perfect. Half a tomato. Peas, not much to spoil there! Lime soda, spot on.

We are regulars at the Thursday night bingo. Without a doubt the best pub this side of the Nile River. Special mention to Chad for always being on top form, amazing service and super friendly.

Absolutely outstanding atmosphere for bingo tonight, the pizza oven is working again and the pizzas were perfect, chad gave us a really pleasant experience and has very good knowledge on his wines!! Will be back next week for more!
