We booked a table for 3 for my daughters birthday, arrived on time, waited about 15 mins in the doorway to be seated, completely ignored by all staff, finally shown to dirty table, tried to order drinks and food was told there would be over an hour wait for the food. I understand that it was a busy Sunday lunchtime, but don' t let people book if you cannot handle the bookings - we left without ordering, a very disappointed daughter and it was too late to book anywhere else - ruined the day.

Great food, coffee & music vibe at cafecoho Hove, facilitated by our terrific host Carstn. Visiting for a couple of days this was a first & perfect choice, recommended by our son, Philip. Highly recommend . Thank you for making us welcome.

I had the 'Hearty Garden Plate' and my partner had the French Toast. We were both pleasantly surprised. The cooking is excellent - a revelation. And very helpful staff.

Want the best breakfast in Hove, at a reasonable price, with excellent service? Then you could do a lot worse than Cafe Coho.

Had Merquez sausages with slow cooked beans and also the hummus with dukka, both dishes well balanced and well cooked. Food with passion! I would highly recommend this place.

Just wow! Super impressed by the flavours and delicately put together menu. I started taking pics as the small plates arrived, and got so side swiped by food heaven that I forgot to capture the rest! The merguez sausage stew, gambas pil pil and enoki mushrooms that I didn’t capture were so so tasty too and surprisingly went so well together. The only thing I’m left thinking is that I’ll have to go back to try some of their vege / vegan dishes and soon! If the British summer is on our side, there’s some great spots to enjoy the PM sun

New to Hove this cafe come evening bistro has it all. A perfect corner location with outdoor seating as well as a trendy modern industrial vibe on the inside. A good choice of tapas plates to tickle all tastes. Friendly and helpful staff. A relaxed chilled atmosphere. Will definitely go back.

Awful service dreadful food and drinks won’t ever be going back …:very slow to be served drinks we ordered were awful Virgin Mary so spicy you couldn’t drink it my pancakes were £9 and stodgy and dry,we waited ages for our plates to be cleared, the Manager started to argue about the drinks that we said where undrinkable and then put a straw in them at tested one ! In a pandemic lol mad!! Whatever happened to the customer is always right ! Never going back….

Went into Small Batch, Hove Station at 4.20 pm yesterday. I ordered a coffee as a dine-in customer. Was told that I would have to use a take away cup as they would be closing soon. I left but not before telling the cashier that I would have drunk my coffee within 10 minutes. Small Batch website indicates that they close at 5.00 pm. BTW there were no other customers. Anyway, I went down the road and gave another coffee shop my business.

Unfortunately, even though there were many things right I'll be avoiding this place. The service was impeccable, good beer, perfect lighting and lovely music. So what was wrong? A coven of aggressive women believing they ran the place because they'd booked a table. At their request the music, that I'd been enjoying, was turned off so they could conduct their meeting whilst sipping peppermint tea. I'd suggest a pub isn't an ideal place for this sort of thing. Especially if you're hell-bent on spoiling the atmosphere for everyone else. Sadly, they're regulars.

Walking through Kemptown we stumbled across this place. Is very small but has a much needed and appreciated outside area. The barman was lovely & sitting there watching the world walk by in the sun enjoying cold alcoholic beverages was gorgeous.

Popped in for a late morning coffee and bite to eat. Good selection of wholesome cakes and sandwiches available. Went for the cheese, chicken and chorizo toasted sandwich and it was divine! Service was super friendly. But allow yourself time enjoy the experience, because it was busy and not fast. We will definitely return :-)
