One of the best San Sebastian cheesecakes I hope they never stop selling- even the chocolate sauce they use on top is so good!

Sayed was our waiter and he was great. Food was great which is a surprise as I previously had a bad experience of Indian food. I’m glad I tried it again!

Lovely environment, the food was all delicious as we ordered various dishes. The service and staff are fantastic. Highly recommend!

Last weekend, we went to sample new items on @colony.restaurant menu. The standout dish was undoubtedly the Pataka Prawns as they had a hint of naga and were so flavoursome. The Beef short ribs were cooked well complimented by tasty noodles. The desserts particularly the Dubai chocolate dessert and Karak Chai were exceptional - indulging, satisfying and the perfect way to end the meal. The Sticky Lamb chops were a bit too sweet for me (although on the menu it said it has a hint of scotch bonnet, I couldn’t taste it). The Butter chicken whilst flavoursome had an overpowering cardamom flavour. The service was unfortunately extremely slow, we had to wait almost 1 hour for our starters to be served and then again a lengthy wait for mains. Overall, Colony shows great potential with dishes like Pataka Prawns and desserts stealing the show. With some refinement, the other dishes have great potential. This place is absolute trash. The waiters could be asked to serve us. Right ?! We had a booking for 40 people. And waited 2 hours for food. We kept asking when will food be ready. The waiter says “it’s coming” while everyone around us in the restaurant is getting their food and they came an hour after us. Unbelievable service !! We walked out after patiently waiting for 2 hours for our food. We complained and left. This was a birthday booking. Booked in advance ! Colony if you can’t handle bookings this big. Do not take them on ! Hungry people become hangry and that’s a side you don’t want to see in this industry. Do not come here. Service is trash. Waiters are trash. Last but not least. It’s absolute trash.

went with a party of approx 30 people, which they said they could accommodate. The time between the 1st plate being set to the last plate was so bad we had to leave and eat elsewhere.. we waited 2.5 hours for our food to not be ready but other people in our party had finished over an hour ago.. we requested some chips for the baby whilst we wait but was told we'd have to wait till all our food comes out..do not recommend going there at all

I wish I could leave 0 stars!! We booked as a party of 35 on Christmas Day for my nephews birthday. First of all we were all sat separate and we had people standing around for 20 minutes for them to accommodate our group. Once we were sat down we waited a further 30 minutes to order!! So already we were an hour into our booking and only just ordered our food. We were sat across 4 tables and the first tables food came out an hour after ordering so we were all thinking the rest of the food would follow… 2 hours later the last table still had no food!!! Other people on other tables had come eaten and gone and we were left hanging. I was on the last table yet to receive their food, we waited a further 30 minutes and nothing so collectively our table decided to leave and go to Adana down the road. Obviously as we were all about to leave the waiter said our food is ready and is coming out but it was too little too late. A 2 and a half hour wait is unacceptable! If you’re unable to take on a booking of this size and have the rest of the restaurant open as usual then don’t take the booking!! Left a huge sour taste in our mouth and we as a family would never return to colony. Even the part of our group that received their food said their food was mediocre and not worth the wait. If you’re planning on coming to colony I’d advise to go elsewhere, rubbish service and full of excuses with mid food for high end prices not worth it at all!

The food and interior were 10/10, food quality was very fresh and tasty and the staff were super nice and helpful. Ranvir Singh served us and he was very attentive and reliable and served us very well. Will be coming back again! I recommend the butter chicken, garlic Naan and the masala fries the most!

I recently had the chance to dine at a restaurant where my server was Syed, and I must say, the experience was quite memorable. From the moment we arrived, Syed was attentive and friendly, making us feel welcomed. He was knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations that truly enhanced our meal. The food itself was delicious, with each dish beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. Shed ensured that our drinks were always topped up and checked in on us regularly without being intrusive. Overall, his service was exceptional and contributed significantly to a wonderful dining experience. I would definitely recommend this place, especially if Shed is your server!

I recently visited Colony Restaurant with a group of eight, and overall, the experience was underwhelming. The service was mediocre at best polite but not particularly attentive and the food mirrored that sentiment: just okay. The restaurant itself feels like a glass box placed randomly and dressed up with some flowers and decorations to create an upscale vibe, but it doesn’t quite hit the mark. A significant downside was the long wait for our food, which tested our patience,To add to the inconvenience, they do not accept American Express, which was a surprise in this day and age. That said, there was a silver lining: the grilled platter. It was flavorful and stood out as the best dish of the evening. If I ever return, it would probably be for that platter alone. Otherwise, this isn’t a place I’d rush back to.

As loyal customers, we decided to go to this lounge. Once we found a table and settled down. colony staff double booked a table for 2 other groups and told us to get up to correct their mishap and let one of the groups take our table. We was not asked nicely and when asked why they had no response. Unprofessional.

They have launched a new fusion menu and food is amazing, something different but nice, we enjoyed every thing we had can’t complain. Will return back

DO NOT EAT HERE - THEY LIE ABOUT INGREDIENTS!!! Recently myself; my wife; my 3 year old daughter and 3 month old son were at Colony restaurant Ilford for dinner. We ordered some dishes one of which was the "beef chilli fries" which was said to have pulled beef in it. As soon as the order came through my infant son started to get very distressed and needed to be fed. My wife asked if she could nurse him in a private room and was shown through to a stock cupboard with a chair in it where ingredients were stored. Whilst my wife was away feeding my son, I tried the pulled beef. It tasted, smelt and had the texture of tuna although it had the appearance of beef. When my wife returned she remarked on how there were cans upon cans of Princes tuna in brine in the stock cupboard where she was feeding our baby . She found it strange as there were no tuna dishes on the menu. I asked her to try the beef brisket and we both agreed that it was unmistakably tuna. When we told the waitress about this, she simply took our plate to the chef and came back to say that it was braised beef and not tuna. I find this very hard to believe because beef and tuna have markedly different flavours and there is no way of confusing the two. As you can imagine, this poses a serious danger to many people who have life threatening allergies to seafood. So do not eat here - they make business from deception.

Enjoy visiting this place for its comfortable decor offering a vibrant dining experience. The food has a unique traditional flavours inspired with a contemporary twist in their Indian cuisines. Only true critique would have to be the curries portion sizes are the smallest ever across wish there was more in the dish but cannot fault the presentation ever.

Fabulous place to go to celebrate with family and friends. Food was tasty and the ambiance was lovely especially in the evening. They even had a designated area for praying. Only downside is lack of parking.

Staff are very friendly, atmosphere is nice. Decor looks amazing and the food is really good too. Special thanks to ranveer this man is a legend. I needed to pray and he found out which direction and even created a space for me and also helped a lot when serving food also. Amazing will definitely come back

First thing first, absolutely poor service. Only one person was working and obviously he was not happy. No smile, not welcoming. Food is also not the same. Been here few times before but this time very disappointed. Apple juice had no taste. I guess, extra water was added. Chicken fries were cold. Nihari had less meat and more fat. Won’t recommend. Papri chaat was ok. At least we had something.

Colony is a nicely decorated restaurant, so we went as a family, there was 7 of us in total. We did book in advance, the whole restaurant was empty and we were still given a weirdly shaped table, when there were clearly other tables available. Regardless, that wasn’t a big issue, we then only received an iPad to look at the menu for the 7 of us. When we proceeded to ask if we could get more menus, they just went on to say for us to scan the QR code, which didn’t even load all the images on the menu. We had the prawn, chicken lollipops and fish for the starters and they were very good, so we had high expectations for the mains but we were disappointed. Originally we wanted to get the steaks, however we were told that they had run out which was quite unfortunate, this is what we were looking forward to. We got lamb burgers, the bun felt stale, so I had to tear off the top just to make it somewhat satisfactory. The malasa fries were good and piping hot, would recommend those and would recommend the biriyani. We ordered the chicken fries as well, it took a bit of time for it to come out so the cheese solidified, making the chips less crispy and initially becoming a solid block thus not tasting the flavours and not making it enjoyable to eat. we ordered one grill platter for two and one grill platter for one. I would say we was quite disappointed with these, the lamb pieces and lamb chops was dry but the chicken wings that come with the platter was quite nice. All the drinks that we ordered (colony spritzer, lychee mojito, apple bamboo, pina colada, coconut kiss, regular mojito) were great, and so was the presentation. I liked the fact that dry ice was given for the pictures. The server we had, we could tell that she was new as some lack of experience was shown, but she was very friendly and apologetic if any mistakes were made. I wouldn’t say I would be coming here again as we didn’t have a great experience with the food and the amount of flies that were in the restaurant was very off putting. At one point, we looked up to the ceiling and there were like 15, some even landing on our straws and food. If you are looking to come to colony I would recommend the drinks and the starters.

I went to this restaurant the other day, hoping to enjoy the lounge and watch a football game. The host of the lounge was extremely rude, did not let us sit where we wanted to with no reason whatsoever. Also said if we did not buy shisha we could not stay there even though I called up earlier and they said on the phone no shisha would be fine. I think this is extremely unprofessional and the man in the lounge section is also rude and unwelcoming. I left immediately, and will not be coming back. Also do not recommend.

Unbelievably terrible service and average food! Ordered medium rare steak and got a super well done steak, worst part they had the cheek to say the believe it’s medium rare LOL. Ordered drinks, 10 mins later reminded them, they said it’s coming, another 10 minutes later it’s still not here. Over 20 minutes for drinks while the restaurant was dead (no customers). Typical place, advise not to go here, there are plenty more options nearby. Oh and the manager never came to see us even after I insisted to speak to him.

Honestly it’s the best place to eat if you’re craving Indian food or even fries, they have a variety of options for food and drinks and the interior in the restaurant is just beautiful girlies so definitely would recommend and it’s very clean.

Food is great but this review is simply because they are false advertising their breakfast and state they do breakfast from 9am-4pm but never happen to be open during these times… little things like this can let you down

Everything was on point with the exceptional of the mixed platter which was bland.

I reserved 13 seats for my family some drove from BICESTER for my 74th birthday dinner. WHAT and from where shall I start, sat down on our allocated seats without any welcoming words, after sitting, we ordered drinks and I ask the waiter if I can have a JUG of water he politely said YES, after 15 mins no water but our drinks took nearly 20 mins to arrive, I asked again a different lady waitress for jug of water and she without apologising she said we do not give jug of water you have to buy bottled water which we did(why the first water did not know ),anyway we ordered our MAINS, and it took about 5 mins between each dish while the previous was getting colder, we asked for 12naans,were given 6 and were told remaining 6 coming in a moment, services were AWEFULL, when we finished eating THEN the remaining 6 naans were delivered, which we told them its no use waiter just looked our faces. PORTIONED WERE SMALLER and prices were VERY HIGH .we were very DISAOPOPINTED with the portions and mainly with services. OUR bill came to nearly 500 pounds and when we left not a word from anyone to say GOODBYE. I SURELY WILL tell ALL MY FRIENDS the experienced we had. FOR that reason that is why I have given one star. REST you can judge from my REVIEW.

Delicious food, great environment for family and friends, and our server Saeed went above and beyond for us, best services from him, he made sure we were all satisfied and always came to check on us and give us the perfect experience, I will be recommending Colony to all my friends and family because of him.

Not good unfortunately. Very dirty, this is the main restaurant. Dirty floors, dirty glass and mirrors. Food was poor. Service was all over the place. Wont return.

Good quality Shisha, the mains were not to my expectations. The Desi Chai is absolutely delicious. It runs rings around any chai place. Great for Shisha. Expensive menu and small portions. Fantastic service from the staff in the Shisha lounge.

Amazing restaurant, brilliant service, staff are attentive, atmosphere was good (we were at the back of the restaurant with tv and shisha available - watching Euros) food was delicious, value for money. Ticks all the boxes. Only downside is parking, need to park on the main road or find a side road but well worth it. Coming again very soon

Food is average on the whole, some dishes were good like the paneer. Drinks are over priced for what you are given, example, I ordered Pinocolada which cost a lot only to be give ready made Sun Tropical pineapple and coconut juice which costs 99p in the shops! The manager always states that the card machine is not working. I visited 2 times over 2 weeks and he gave me the same excuse which was "the card machine went down this morning"

We have been there a couple of times recently and absolutely loved the food and service. I would like to mention Mr. R. Rajput who served us with a smile and always available for a request. The ambience is really good as well. Our favorites were the mocktails and the starters, especially the prawns.

I went to colony 2 years back and the food and service was great ..... we went recently and the food was not the same ,starter's mixed grill was not nice at all the lamb tikka was absolutely hard and the kebab was also very chewy. ... mohito was just full of ice nothing else. The mains had no flavour at all. The waiter stated they had changed menu but sadly was not great . I was very disappointed and sadly won't be going there again. Prices are also over rated plus service charge is also over rated.

I visited Colony for my birthday and it was incredibly disappointing. From the moment we arrived, the service was a major issue. We found ourselves having to ask the waiters multiple times for even the simplest things, and it took an excessive amount of effort to get our requests fulfilled. The shisha was a decent, but the lack of attention to changing the coal was frustrating, requiring numerous reminders. To make matters worse, our drinks were delayed both with the food and shisha service, despite the restaurant being relatively empty when we arrived early. While the food was okay, the subpar service overshadowed any enjoyment. The ambiance was further dampened by the unusual music selection in the lounge, which was far from the popular tunes we anticipated. We had to repeatedly ask for the music to be changed, adding to the overall disappointment of the experience. In summary, it was the consistently poor service that ultimately soured what should have been a special birthday celebration at Colony. I honestly regret paying the service charge.

The waitresses and waiters were nice however, the food took up to half an hour to arrive. The manager was very rude and took advantage of the fact that teenagers were paying and made us pay a service charge for mediocre service.Would not go there again.

Restaurant is quite good. Peaceful atmosphere. Food is tasty. But the extraordinary consideration care and kind disposition from the Manager named 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐤𝐚𝐧 made us feel right at home. She personally came to tables to check if we had everything we wanted and if everything was up to mark. Cherished her genuine touch of hospitality, Which brings up the restaurant quite a bit. Last but not least, the cheesecake she introduced us, it was fantastic. The way she presented was totally amazing. Massive Shout out to 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐤𝐚𝐧💎

I Went to this restaurant for lunch. It’s located just a stone’s throw away from seven kings station. Atmosphere was great. Nicely greeted and felt welcomed specially from staff manager when we entered the restaurant. It was fairly busy. Food arrived quite quick and tasted yum! Will definitely go there again in the future.

This was my third visit to Colony with my family and probably will be my last. I was heavily disappointed with everything. I think the restaurant was understaffed- we were seated but had to wait to be served even though there were hardly any customers. Though the food came relatively quickly.. our drinks didn't. We had to prompt the waiting staff to bring our drinks and when they did- they brought us the wrong drinks. Please note this restaurant does not provide tap water which is frustrating. The food was awful- everything was extremely bland which wasn't the case before. We ordered the starter platter and every item was devoid of any flavour. It didn't even have a fragrance which we're accustomed to. We also ordered lamb karahi and lamb biriyani. The lamb karahi was very bland but the biriyani was worse. It's flavour was horrible- too many fried onions in the dish which was very off putting. Would not be venturing here again - would not recommend.

The lamb karahi, sebastian cake and karak chai was very nice and would highley recommend having it. Muskaan was very nice and delivered really good service to us as we chose the cake she recommended us to get and it was one of the best desserts i had in a long time.

Good atmosphere and ambience. Didn't take long to receive the food but then again it wasn't peak time. Food tasted OK. Prices were decent. Ordered a starter, biryani, curry, naan, beef fries, 2 drinks, bottle of water and 2 deserts. Worked out to be £45.00 a head. IMO the food needs to have more oomph in the taste to make it stand out from the competition. Tastiest was the paneer starter.

Looking for good food but don't care about the service this is your place to go, Food quality was good & Atmosphere was very friendly, However service wasn’t good due to lack of staff or training, We had to order multiple drinks to get the right one which means spending extra money. Overall experience was good.
