The staff was helpful and very friendly. Even though we slept above the pub and there was a party we managed to sleep there. The room was spacious and clean, classic furnishings, quite comfortable mattress. The bathroom ok. Private parking.

Nice clean pub rooms. Small but secure with refurbed bathrooms. Warm and quite comfortable. A pretty standard double bed but still sleep worthy. Staff were very helpful and happy to assist. No lifts as stated but we were able to leave most of our luggage in the car. Dinner is limited as the cook called in sick but there’s a few budget options nearby. Just avoid the kebabs. Great location to visit the Fyrish monument. Value for money this stay.

Ci siamo sentiti molto bene: caldo, accogliente, bevuto e mangiato bene. Maccheroni e formaggio con garlic bread e Cabernet Sauvignon. Quadri bellissimi, ambiente da elegante tavola calda/ motel. Servizio gentile, bagni nella media prezzi alti ma più bassi che in altri posti

Just visited the Culbokie Inn and I'm absolutely thrilled to share my experience! The star of the show was undoubtedly their Wagyu bacon cheeseburger - it was simply brilliant. The quality of the ingredients shone through, with the rich, flavorful Wagyu beef perfectly complemented by crispy bacon and melted cheese. The service was fantastic, with a special shout-out to Amy, our waitress, who did a sterling job. Her attentiveness and friendly demeanor really enhanced our dining experience. The staff's welcoming attitude made us feel right at home from the moment we stepped in. The menu offers a great selection, catering to various tastes and dietary requirements. While we focused on the burgers this time, I noticed they also serve excellent steaks, fish, and chicken dishes, all cooked to perfection according to other diners. The atmosphere in the inn is cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing meal. It's clear why both locals and tourists alike flock to this gem on the NC500 route Overall, the Culbokie Inn is a must-visit destination for anyone in the area. Whether you're a local or just passing through, make sure to stop by for a meal - you won't be disappointed! I can't wait to return and try more items from their menu.

We know the Tongue area very well, and like to eat locally, so it was obvious we would decide to eat at the Craggan, and i'm happy we did! The restaurant area is welcoming and clean, staff friendly, and the car park was easy even with a big van. The only problem was choosing from the menu! So many tasty things - i wish we had more time to visit again.. All three of us enjoyed our food, and we shared everything so i know it was all delicious. Thank you for making a rather wet evening so special..

This is a takeaway only service. It's quite pricey. Steak pie £4.50, late coffee £3.50. Very nice service

I recently had the pleasure of spending a delightful day at Dores Inn, and I still find myself reminiscing about the experience six months later. Nestled along the shores of the iconic Loch Ness, this charming inn offers a perfect blend of stunning views, a warm atmosphere, and exceptional service. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a lovely ambiance that sets the tone for a relaxing visit. The inn has ample seating, both indoors and outdoors, making it easy to find a cozy spot to enjoy the picturesque scenery. We opted for an outside table, and it turned out to be the best decision of the day. The views of the loch were absolutely breathtaking, providing a serene backdrop for our meal. Speaking of the meal, I must rave about the food—simply sublime! I usually find coleslaw unappealing, but Dores Inn's homemade version was a game changer. It was fresh, flavorful, and complemented our dishes beautifully. Every bite was a testament to the culinary care that goes into their offerings. After our satisfying meal, we joined a Rib-Boat journey on the loch, which was an exhilarating way to experience the surroundings. The thrill of speeding across the water, combined with the breathtaking views of the loch and its mythical charm, made for an unforgettable adventure. As a memento of our day, I couldn't resist purchasing one of their handmade crochet teddies of Nessie. It's now a cherished keepsake that brings back fond memories of our visit. To wrap up our day, we took a leisurely walk along the shoreline. The tranquility of the loch, coupled with the stunning natural beauty surrounding us, was the perfect ending to a fantastic day. Overall, Dores Inn exceeded my expectations in every way. From the lovely atmosphere and great views to the delectable food and friendly service, it’s a place I highly recommend. If you're looking for an exceptional day out near Loch Ness, don’t miss the opportunity to visit this gem. I still think about that wonderful day, and I can’t wait to return!

This was a lovely experience, the food was not ' swimming in grease' as i saw from another review, but it was great to see that the more recent reviews have been validated. We went here for my birthday at the end of october and honestly everything was really lovely . the service was great they were so friendly from the getgo, the charcuterie board we had for starter was very filling and diverse just wish they would have told us what the cheeses were ( i think the brie was from tain though it was familair) but thats a minor niggle that we had no info. the main courses were fab the skin on chips were AMAZING , and its a dog friendly place which we loved , we dont have dogs but we did get to pet some which made our day !
