This cosmos was quite a suprise. The suprise is how small it was. You can see all the available seats. The bar is about the size of a single bedroom. The food area is a large living room area. The main cuisine was Indian and Chinese with both giving a good range of dishes as you would expect. The rest were a ragtag bunch. Sushi and veg was about 3 dishes each. The fried food corner was actually pretty good, I rate the food well there. There was a roast dinner corner, pizza corner and about 3 other single dish per cuisines. They did have the fresh food counter where the chef cooks to order shrimps, oysters, beef etc. that was it. The dessert section was decent, choco fountain, hot and cold desserts. Other than it being small, the service was fast and good. Though if you sit anywhere near the entrance, there is a cold draft every time the entrance door opens. The food is what you'd expect, there are some well cooked food and others bland and cold.

Thank you for taking the time to respond. After considering your thoughtful approach, I’ve decided to retract my comment. I’d like to point out that the issue likely stemmed from staff members fearing the consequences of breaking rules or being flexible, possibly due to pressure from upper management. In some situations, depending on the context, I believe it wouldn’t hurt to adjust the rules to accommodate certain customers. In my case, the staff member who served me appeared hesitant to bend the rules, possibly due to fear of repercussions, which may have led to a strict response, though it could have been unintentional. Rather than reprimanding staff, it might be more beneficial to establish a tone of flexibility/malleablity from the top down. Just my two cents. Thank you again for your response.

Worst experience ever had. Grill was not ready, we had to wait 30 minutes for the chef to start cooking , after that he gave as an humiliation smallest portion of beef stake I ever see in my life , literally you can eat it straight away in one go . We couldn’t get any prawns at all, the container been empty for one hour. Very small range to choose food. Never go again, definitely no worth 24£ per person .

Firstly on arrival as a family of 4 prebooked meal for our daughters 7th birthday we was somewhat greeted by a front of house gentleman called Ivan who is supposedly a Manager,rude welcoming with no eye contact nor no pleasantries.Guided to our table by what i could say as a waiter who had no clue in his whereabouts of the restaurant must of been his first shift needed to say not his fault! Placed ourselves at our table and explained that we have a family voucher after about 10mins of confusion with back and forth regarding payment and prices we settled on a price which was different from the display online booking price. DRINKS= Refilled machines which displays 4 options 3 of them was watered down clearly not been changed and this was dinner service 5.pm prime time dining ! ATMOSPHERE =Terrible worst i have ever seen in a restaurant countless groups of eastern European Men gathering around there tables speaking aggressively slamming there contents on the tables making guests feel anxious. FOOD=Where do I start ? Food felt like it was luke warm particularly cold could probably agree that it was lunch time sittings left overs,the live cooking area where chefs cook steak prawns and scallops was always full of these eastern European men loitering around eatting while standing and ordering on the go this should not be allowed management should place a que in system for this! 3 times I got up to replenish my plate and not once could I get to the live cooking area Terrible ! Overall I will never return to this branch in romford it was probably the worst dining I have ever encountered if I could give a minus 5Stars I would. Terribly Disgusting.

This place has change for good. They are so much organised now! You dont have to push or be pushed by people for couple of chips. We went for xmas dinner on xmas eve. Best time ever! We go twice a year (maybe 4 times a year) and this time was really good. Not talking about the food but the experience. We booked in advance and were there 10m earlier. No queue. Place was very clean. Waited 1 minute to be seated (3 kids 2 adults). Every time a table was free, 3 people were coming to clean and sort it out. Every other table was taken which ment that there wad space to walk between tables. Will reccomend this place even more. Foodwise this place is always good but there was people cleaning every drop next to the food stations in no time.

Visited here for the 1st time today, will never return. Food was lukewarm, when asked our server what was the holding temperature of the food, she said 25c I think....🤔 I was like, well I hope not or we will all have food poisoning as holding temperature should be above 63c Spoke to the front of house man, got a dismissive response. Was told it is a buffet and you have to mix the food with a spoon before you take any. I went straight to the chef and ask h8m to check the temperatures. Which took him 5 minutes to even find the probe (which should be at hand) After waiting until the food was refreshed, he took temperature, it was 63.7c At this point the food was freshly put out so it should of been higher in temperature than that. All the Chinese stations, all the lids were left with their lids lifted up, which will make the food go cold. I was not the only customer that complained that the food was cold. Let's hope my son's and myself do not have a stomach ache later. Avoid Avoid Avoid.........

However, to our surprise, we were abruptly told we had to leave in five minutes, even though several people at our table were still eating dessert. This is unacceptable! As paying customers, we should not be rushed out, especially while continuing to order and consume drinks. The situation was made worse by the behavior of the manager, Mr. Ivan. It was clear that he was unhappy about having to work on the first day of the year, but that is no excuse for his rude and dismissive attitude. When I approached him to discuss the situation calmly, explaining that I couldn’t take my drinks outside and intended to finish them inside, he bluntly told me that we had to leave within 5–10 minutes. This kind of behavior from a manager is shocking and unprofessional. Instead of trying to accommodate or show understanding for his customers, he chose to act in a way that made us feel unwelcome and rushed. It is highly disrespectful to treat paying customers this way, especially when the establishment benefits from our continued orders. In my opinion, Mr. Ivan’s actions should be reviewed by the disciplinary committee. A manager’s role is to ensure guests have a pleasant experience, not to push them out the door, especially when they’re spending significant amounts of money. I would strongly advise against visiting this place if you’re looking for good service and a welcoming environment. This experience ruined what was supposed to be a joyful start to the year, and I would not recommend it to anyone.

When I attempted to take a closer look, he rudely asked for my ID—something he legally has no right to demand. What’s worse, it became apparent that his behavior wasn’t based on anything I said or did but simply because, in his words, “he didn’t like my face.” This is deeply unprofessional and outright discriminatory. As a manager, Ivan failed to uphold the standards of hospitality. His confrontational and dismissive attitude is damaging to the restaurant’s image. Message to the Owner: I am writing this review not only to share my experience but also to urge the owner of this company to take immediate action. Went to celebrate my nephew's 16th birthday. Was concerned going with a big family as it could get quite pricey. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that they charged kids differently based on their age which is great news for families. Atmosphere is as good as any buffet can be. Staff were attentive and polite. Food selection is ok (not the best that I've). I think it's a decent spot for an AYCE. Note: The food gets packed up quite early in the evening (8.45 or earlier) so do bear this in mind as we felt quite rushed in the end.

Looked online price £20 when there as Xmas £25 . Went inside and got seated person in front vaping so got up and complain what should not be for me to do as management standing almost at side worrying about radios and how many there . Gone to get food soup for starters . No bowls so had to find sombody to ask for bowls to be told use the desert ones . So soup out off plastic bowls like a children’s party. . Second serving 3bowls over steam saying dumping all empty and one with wraps for duck . For whole stay no dumplings when asked not long . Gone back to table kids just running around touching all the food and putting it back . Gone to centre most bowls empty or just juice off food in middle . When gone for dessert my don’t have the sweet soft eggs as just seen a little boy lick one and chuck back in bowl . From start to desert no Eaton mess when asked twice was told 5 min . When did decided what to have for dessert yet again 3 bowls with chocolate in as two girls playing with fountain and member staff standing watching . So yet again had to wait for bowls . Got bowl and the only thing that looked like never been picked by kids was frozen ice cream out off freezer . The whole experience was where the hell are these parents when kids go up to eat and why don’t staff step in and stop them . The whole experience was where was poor that I will not return . Even tho I did talk to member off staff on exiting that was dearest £100 spent less drinks

I have been coming to Cosmo for about 4 or 5 years now, we go there for our Christmas Dinners,to celebrate birthdays or just to have something to eat on a regular day. Food is amazing and their service has never failed us. This place gets very busy but their staff still manages to accommodate us every single time. Waitresses and waiters are always polite and welcoming. If your looking for a place to eat something fresh and cheap at the same time you dont need to look any further.

COSMO Romford, all you can eat restaurant, has improved a lot in recent times(I was here last year and didn't enjoy my visit at that time). However this time it was good as now the halal food is mentioned in written form on the board and there are more options for halal food. But the only concern was that most of the Indian/halal food dishes were made too salty, especially the 'lamb rogan josh' was literally inedible...!!! The naan bread and pilua rice have definitely gotten much better as they were fresh, soft and fluffy this time. The dessert section has also improved with more cake options which includes cookies & cream cheese cake, carrot cake & chocolate fudge cake(all of these were very tasty). The soft drinks are bottomless which is great. Overall very much satisfied with this visit to COSMO Romford. Definitely recommend this place.

I regularly go to all you can eat food places. I found cosmos has the least varieties to pick from. Limited cuisines compared to Jimmy's and JRC. I didn't like the food there much, but the sweets were OK. The vegetarian options are a bit less to pick from.

This place is our new spot. first visit last week and food was beautiful we where late and they where so accommodating, selection was still more than we could handle and the staff where professional and courteous in every way. I have never favored world foods restaurants as i find the flavour is a little similar in every dish in London and only liked the one in Cambridge. but this one!!! Beat it hands down and i am daily recommending it to all my friends family, work colleagues and even students. Thank you so much for your amazing service.

Cosmos has been great in the past, I have a sea food allergy, I only could eat chicken curry and some vegetables. They had roast beef but the meat was bland and a bit hard. All the other food had oester sauce and fried ones had been fried with the same oil as see food making it impossible for me to enjoy. Very disappointed. No going there anymore.

Extremely disappointing. Arrived on time. As I had booked, in advance. Haven't been to Cosmos in yrs. Won't be going back any time soon. NEVER have I been to a restaurant, where you have to pay before you eat. Food was nothing to write home about.Many dishes weren't available. I also noticed, that they don't have a list of dietary ingredients, for those that have allergies, or intolerance to certain foods. That may be an idea Cosmo, you should definitely look into. Service was terrible. As big & busy as Cosmo is. They have learnt nothing from COVID. Yes it is a business, I get that. But state in your policy, that you require payment, before you dine. Then people won't give your staff, a hard time. Asking why, do I have to pay before I've eaten? When I asked, the so called manager was extremely bliase. Many people love that place.But it is definitely a NO from me.

The restaurant was extremely busy last night and we had hoped it would match the fab experience we had at Cosmo Sheffield a few years ago, sadly it didn't. . The food was good, although could have been hotter. It was replenished regularly and most was tasty and enjoyable, although some of the meat was tough as boots. In our opinion, it was mainly spoilt by the other customers there. From a family complaining about the pricing and location of their table, to a kids party, to toddlers running around, screaming girls climbing and standing on their seats to get in and out. It was in no way relaxing and was so noisy that we couldn't hear each other speak. Our chairs were continually knocked as the groups raced back and forth to the food area. We felt that we were seated far too close to the louder groups and it was uncomfortable. We did expect it to be busy and a bit manic, as we go to Jimmy's regularly and it can be the same, but in my opinion, Jimmy's is far more organised, less manic and the staff seem to be less stressed there. Everyone was dashing around, plates were not cleared quickly and there didn't appear to be enough staff. In summary, the food was good, the place was cramped, noisy and very manic with many grumpy looking staff and customers. Sorry to say, we are not sure we will return in a hurry.

Recently returned to Cosmo’s Lunch with the family. I, personally, didn’t think the quality of food was as good as my previous visit earlier in the year. In fairness, this could be down to a change of supplier and or chefs. My family didn’t feel the quality had declined. Cosmo remains superb value for money. Staff courteous. Other diners consisted of Family groups of all ages. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Of course i’d return again.

I went on 22.11.24 evening. The workers were very weird.. staring at me and my friends the whole time in a very odd manner leaving us to feel uncomfortable. Food was great but didn’t like the service. Wasn’t very helpful . Kept telling us we had to leave soon like we wasn’t aware of the time, felt rushed and didn’t have the best time there , had to keep my composure otherwise that silly woman that took my payment would’ve been cussed out big time .

An extremely busy and popular all you can eat restaurant in Romford Brewery. Ample parking, good public transport connections including late night. It's best to book to get into this restaurant at busy times the maximum stay is 1 hour 30 minutes. There is a high turn over of customers as staff are very friendly but efficient at cleaning and clearing tables. A very wide selection of food which will cater for most dietary requirements. Tofu and salad plentiful. Small seafood items cooked on request (prawns, scallops etc) Plenty of rice and pasta choices, plus Roast dinner options if that is what you fancy. But a good fusion of Asian cuisine.

Absolutely awful culinary standards; food left in heating facilities resulted in dried out stuff; the noodles tasted like I was eating rubber; and the churros were so hard that I couldn't bite into them. I appreciate that the place is busy, but an hour and a half is not long enough to eat and enjoy your meal. Other than time constraints it's a lovely place to eat. Staff were lovely! Tepinyaki station is amazing. Lots of choice as long as you don't have extra dietary requirements. A good time was had by all!!

This Buffet restaurant is located a 5-minute walk from Romford Station. It is an international food buffet with a wide variety of dishes, all of which are very delicious. There is also a live kitchen option available. The restaurant can accommodate a large number of people. In short, this is one of the top international buffets. It's great value for money. Restaurant looks lovely but the food isn’t great staff in the buffet area rude asked for beef from the roast area was told no and to eat the fat which was soaking in water, no salmon on the fresh cook bar, ice cream machine wasn’t working out of service the one next to it just poured out liquid. Cakes wasn’t topped up just had carrot cake and mini eclairs not worth £24 a person

This restaurant is amazing with brilliant food and atmosphere. The service is remarkable and outstanding. The best Turkish I have been to just based on their service. Tolga was very friendly, helpful and ensured we had a good time. He was very lovely and I will definitely be returning
