We went to the doncaster branch was very welcoming especially Simon who interacted with the kids when they got bored and had them laughing 😃

Dropped off hard this place. Was fantastic when first opened.

Visited here for the first time on 15th January at around 7pm The lady serving us was absolutely lovely and really attentive, without being intrusive, so top marks for her but unfortunately that's probably going to be the only positive thing about our experience 😔 We have visited various places of this kind and this was,in our opinion, the worst one by far!! The food was all lukewarm,if warm at all The food placements were all out of sync as if nobody working there actually knew what cuisine came under which category For example.....British section had pizza,lasagne,spaghetti bolognese with some prawn toast labelled as "eggy bread" Along with many other sections just not being labelled properly My favourite is Chinese starters so I was disappointed to find that this section only had chips,rice and some duck with uncooked pancakes that were impossible to seperate and resembled sheets of plastic My wife's favourite in these places Is the live grill but unfortunately this part also fell way below average,with the steaks being the thinnest smallest pieces of steak we have ever seen anywhere!! The desserts were mostly dried up cheesecakes but the chocolate fountain was nice and the ice cream was OK too but you can't really go wrong with a chocolate fountain and individual tubs of ice cream that are clearly shop bought!! So disappointed as we were really looking forward to this place but we won't be returning.

We had dinner at Doncaster Cosmo on Saturday evening. Everything was spot on. The staff were so polite and helpful. The food was scrumptious, and there were so many choices, and the place itself was full. Despite the quantity of people in the restaurant, the queuing for food was minimal. Highly recommended 👌

The only thing letting the place down ,was the customer's, rude and obnoxious, kid's having a free for all, pushing and shoving,

Honestly, I am very satisfied with COSMO.. both the tasty and assorted dishes, as well as the kindness and service of the staff. I recommend the COSMO restaurant to everyone and my family and I come here as often as we can.

I liked being able to walk around and try the selection of food before putting some on my plate, some meat a bit chewy. A lot of people kept leaving the lids up on the food, but it didn't help keep the food hot. Went to the toilet seat was loose, and it could be dangerous.

Second time here. First time was when it had just opened and it was really good at the time, 2nd time food was quite salty. Stopped cooking quite early before 9pm with still two hours before closure. Leaving mostly dried dishes or scraps from the desserts would not recommend.

Great value some Indian dishes lacked authentic flavour other great staff 11/10 highly recommended

Not been for a while and now I remember why, it's just not worth the money. Undercooked Pizza how do you do that? No really they have massive pizza ovens. The chicken in the curries was overcooked. The duck was poor, kebabs bland the list goes on. We were a party of 6 and the only meal that was reasonable was the apple crumble but still had to have luke warm custard. It may have been hot when I got it, but had to wait over 5 minutes for a spoon. How can you not a cutlery at a self service buffet. Spending over £150 including drinks really not worth it. Won't be back if you want any advice GO ANYWHERE ELSE IT WILL BE BETTER Greggs is down the escalator and you get stamps.

Very good buffet restaurant, nice food.

The service is lovely, but the food is okay at best. The whole place is extremely outdated and the bathrooms were falling apart (not working properly, tiles falling off the walls, sinks not draining). It was clear that the food was made as cheaply as possible, and the only fruit they had was either brown grapes or tinned peaches - nothing was fresh.

The place is ok but the environment is not really friendly they want you to pay first for your food which to me is as though they don't trust you to pay for the bill.

Don't expect the best food in the world, mains were great but desserts were rubbish

The food is amazing there are so many types of food. Plates never run out and when you first come in the waiters are so quick to attend to you from reception. We got a sit quickly even before our time. The waiters are so friendly and are always wiling to help.

Came today for my son's 18th birthday and we all really enjoyed it . All good piping hot staff all friendly everything we are was nice

Who doesn't like the concept and idea of an all you can eat! The food was lovely but some of it was just average and something I feel like I could make myself at home.

We found this place after finding it on TikTok the night before and decided to go. We were absolutely delighted with the place! It had a wide variety of foods such as curries, pizzas, Asian cuisine and desserts, there is something for everyone. We'll definitely be back here!

Came to cosmos a few days ago having never been before. Heard nothing but great reviews but my experience was less than great. Waiter was speaking that fast and his English wasn’t great so we couldn’t understand him. He watched over us whilst we made our drink choices (talk about pressure) we had to ask another staff member how it worked (this was the only smile and happy interaction we got) our drinks arrived to the table a good 20-30 mins after ordering. All food stations weren’t available, but what choices we had were ok and the food was hot. Desserts were awful. Very dry cakes. The cheesecake wasn’t even set properly, and not very much selection was out. When paying our bill the staff weren’t very happy that we wanted to split the bill across 2 card payments. Overall not the best experience for my first time visiting.

2nd time visiting... Fantastic place with loads of food varieties.

Felt like a meat market not much food for peskatarians unless u want chips and chick peas not all things out ie dim sum so rubbish if your veggie

Esta es sobre mi visita número 15 en 10 años más o menos , la gama de comida siempre es impresionante, la mayoría fresca y de primera calidad, está el plato raro que ha estado sentado allí un poco largo pero sobre todo todo todo todo bueno , soy vegetariano y siempre encuentro algo que me gusta , los postres siempre son increíbles , tanta elección , el único postre que no me gustó fue el helado en tinas pequeñas , se habían derretido casi todos, así que no lo comí , sí se lo dije a un agradable miembro del personal y dijo que lo mencionaría. En general, un gran lugar para visitar con la familia y amigos o incluso por su cuenta si lo desea. Fui con un amigo un lunes por la noche y no estaba muy ocupado , no reservamos solo aparecimos , nos dijeron que si no habíamos reservado teníamos que ir y pagar de inmediato , así que nos mostraron una mesa luego fuimos a pagar, es la primera vez que hacemos esto, pero debe ser una nueva política , Gran noche en general, buena comida y vale 20 libras para una gran noche de fiesta, volveré después de Navidad para mi cumpleaños con suerte 👍

Mid week family good quality buffet restaurant with various foods from around the world, completely priced.

Told they stopped serving at 3pm. Still food available at 4pm. Which is the time they said it closed. Still open and people turning up.

First time we went the food was lovely this time it was not. Pad Thai was cold, lemon chicken dry n hard to swallow, steak chewy , pannacotta no taste to it, lots of other food the same either cold or chewy. The 2 good things were the Berry Eton mess and cajaun tortilla chips.

First time trying COSMO, Myself, my wife and children really enjoyed it. The selection was very good and the rotation of fresh food was also very good. My youngest son is a really fussy eater and even he found plenty to eat! Would definitely go back!

My boyfriend and i came for a meal and we are both 15 however the lady who served us charged my boyfriend £22.99 instead of £11.99 like she should as we are children. In her words it is because ‘he is taller’ therefore insinuating that he will eat as much as an adult, I think this is unacceptable. On the other hand it was all round good service and apart from that incident the staff were kind.

I've always liked cosmo all the food was lovely but I've noticed they have changed the crispy duck for an absolutely disgusting 🤢 cheaper meat yuk. Please change it back because the other crispy duck was much nicer. Staff are all lovely and hard working and very pleasant always smiling ☺

Travelled from bradford as it was recommended to me by a friend. I was so disappointed by the buffet. I'll start with what I liked from the various dishes. The pork bao buns were lovely, really fluffy and delicious, and I would definitely recommend these. The sushi was delicious, especially the tuna sushi, which was fresh and yummy. That's it. From the huge selection of dishes, these were the only two that I actually enjoyed. What I didn't enjoy was the prawns. Why, why on earth were all the prawns in your resteraunt served with shell on? By the time you removed the shell, you've removed all the flavour from the prawns, which was on the shell! I can't describe how much it irritated me that i was removing any seasoning on the prawns every time i removed the shell. The sweet and sour chicken was so sour that there was no sweet to balance it. It tasted like vinegar had been poured all over it. The duck was so dry that i couldn't eat it. The pork spare ribs were so dry it's like they had been sat there forever. The rice noodles were flavourless. The fried rice was the worst fried rice I've ever eaten, just no flavour at all, and I've eaten a lot of fried rice over the years. The rice was hard, and pair that with no flavour it was just awful. The steak they made on the grill for you was flavourless, and it was doused in oil, if only they added some marinade, even salt and pepper. The prawn crackers were stale, which made me gag. The beef in black bean sauce was okay. Again, not much flavour. The chefs must be afraid of seasoning at this point, I thought. To top this off, the staff were arguing at the counter. A woman and a man were having an argument over cleaning the tables, and it just made me uncomfortable being right next to them. The toilets were horrendous. It's like they googled the worst bathroom fitter and got him in to do the job. 1 tap was hanging off the wall and didn't work. The sealant was up the mirror, and even the ladies who came into the toilet next to me were talking about the state of the toilet. The chairs were falling apart, and the leather was damaged. The tables were so scratched and dented, and it made it feel really unclean. A few times, we came back to the table, and the old plates were there, and staff weren't clearing them as fast as they should have been. It wasn't overly busy, so staff should have been more on the ball. Desserts weren't bad, just not the best. They were very basic, and my bavarian slice dessert was still very much frozen in the middle and couldn't be eaten. The mango cheesecake was not very nice, in my opinion. I don't recommend this place in all honesty and I wouldn't go back again and waste money. For £56 I could have ordered from the local Chinese and had a better experience. Just to add, the mocktail was diabolical, filled with ice and two sips later it's finished. Couldn't even drink enough of it to really feel the flavour. Just packed with ice so they can save as much money as possible.

really nice food .nice place , sometimes its best to book as it can be super busy . Update : went with my family for my daughter birthday ,and it wasn't a nice experience, the lady behind the counter was not friendly and kept scowling at customers . Had to pay before eating felt like they thought we would eat and run .Pana Cota my favorite was not as nice I don't know why . Security outside would not let us walk back to were we parked we had to walk all the way round .

So I booked a table online, we attended the restaurant with my parents, and when we were about to leave I went to pay. They told me our table payed already so I went to ask and my father said he payed. When I got home I received threatening voice mails from Cosmos management saying I didn't pay and that they will call the police. I had to pay over phone 1 more time . It's ridiculous that I payed £77 twice. I won't be going back.

First time and I loved it,Every kind of food you want,from Chinese to Indian and English food.

We went after half term at lunch time. The mains were ok but as it wasn’t busy some of it wasn’t very hot and there were no grills on. The dessert options were amazing and the chocolate fountain a real treat! The staff were so friendly and welcoming.

Los currys eran insípidos. Incluso el agua sabía gracioso. Sinceramente, no creo que me gustaría entrar aquí de nuevo. ¿Parece que se trata de cantidad sobre calidad y quizás están haciendo demasiado?

Didn't get a chance to try the food. Evidently you needed a reservation for a table, otherwise they couldn't say how long you'd be waiting. Eaten at buffet places in many cities, larger than Doncaster too, this is a first. The grimace made by the young lady on the reception too. Not a good look. Shan't be back. My money has been taken elsewhere.

We have been lots of times and take the kids too, great variety and usually always warm food too

Been before around 4-5 times can’t go wrong with the staff there friendly and really helpful but me and the Mrs went yesterday and as we was eating something kicked off (looked to be two blokes fighting) babies was involved aswell which was quite distressing. Another thing the Indian food was absolutely awful chicken was crunchy and cold sauce was watery naan was like dough not to mention the price which was £55 for 2 of us which in my opinion is ridiculous as we had to wait nearly 2 hours to be seated but yeah I won’t be going back just thought I’d warn others.

First time visiting cosmos in Doncaster and it wasn't the best the place was a little dark for my liking and the food was ok nothing much to write home about. But all in all not a bad place to grab a bit to eat if your shopping or waiting for a train.

Anteriormente había estado en Cosmo para almorzar en Aberdeen, que era fantástico (ver mi otra reseña), así que estaba ansioso por ir a la sucursal de Doncaster cuando estaba en la ciudad. ¡Qué decepción! Explicaron que la oferta completa de sushi y Teppanyaki no estaba disponible para los almuerzos. No me disuadió, pensé que habría muchas otras cosas que ofrecer. Siendo pescatario luché. El único plato de pescado que encontré fueron los dedos de pescado... y no eran nada de lo que escribir en casa. Probé los fideos y luego miré alrededor en busca de algo que tener con ellos. Estoy seguro de que si eres carnívoro, encontrarías algo, pero terminé poniéndoles ensalada de col... Esa fue una combinación interesante. Ciertamente no pasé hambre pero, después de la increíble experiencia en Aberdeen, me quedé menos que impresionado.

Went today from out of town- ended up with food poisoning. Won’t be going here again - absolutely gutted I spent £40 on a meal that ended up just making me and my partner very very ill

Good selection of food plenty to choose from, resturants nice and clean, booked for a birthday meal after visiting here with my family, upon arrival was asked to pay upfront by the lady at the reception which I found not very welcoming at all especially on a family birthday meal however the gentleman serving our table actually said that we would be fine paying after we had eaten as expected, everything else was spot on.

Party of 9 who attended for the first time last night as a family for my sons 16th birthday. Food was excellent, plenty of variety, nice and hot and replenished. Desserts were limited in choice and a little samey I.e. the cheesecakes in different flavours etc. The staff were really friendly at the greeting desk, although our waitress who removed the plates was quite stern looking and not very approachable hence we looked for our own spoons for dessert instead of asking, she was understandably busy but still...we were disappointed that the refillable drinks weren't available and didn't fancy paying over the odds for bottled drinks which we don't usually have due to the gas being off,and we were promptly informed of this during our short wait fir a table before being seated. The atmosphere was quite busy, and we found that members of the public seemed to leave their manners at home and social awareness, not the fault of the staff at all and I'm grateful we were sat to the side out of the way. We will more than likely return at some point as the food is great and there's so much to choose from in a range of cuisines and added bonus all are labelled clearly, but maybe we will try another branch in another city near by to us. Great value for money too.

food was good, what it said on the tin, however there was no fizzy drinks available all night and the server who cleans the plates away would not win any awards for politeness. slamming plates and glasses and spilling food over the table and on members of my party without so much as a sorry. after spending over £200 not the service i expected tbf. wont be attending again in a hurry. Disappointed to say the least.

We go to Cosmo often, but we got there around 7:00 p.m. I was horrified, we paid the same as everyone else, but every second pot was empty and no one came to refill it, and the food that was still left seemed to have been reheated for the tenth time, so we were very disappointed.

We visited on September the 8th in the evening. Unfortunately the refillable drinks were out of order and all bottles of soft drinks had ran out so we opted for water, this couldn't be helped though and the staff were very apologetic. We had the misfortune of being sat by a large table of unruly guests, they spent their time piling plate upon plate of all the prawns they could find, more than anyone could eat! They also let their under 5 yr old children run riot unsupervised around the restaurant. The staff had to ask for them to put shoes on the children and even had to come over when one of the children hit another customer! We also witnessed the children with their hands in the chocolate fountain! Why they weren't asked to leave is beyond me. The food was lovely but unfortunately the evening was totally ruined by these guests

Always had a good time here but this time a shambles..drinks machine broken so could only buy bottles,that happens but they actually refused to supply a glass with them,called a manager who relented.no knife and forks for first twenty minutes.Eventually got them to find they had run put of plates..Terribly short staffed that meant used plates weren't taken away..The queue of people complaining is testament to the shambles it was today

Worst visit ever. We come to cosmo at least 6 times a year, between 5 and 8 of us every time. To was my dad's 81st birthday and 55year wedding anniversary and. We were stood at reception for 6 minutes before someone came to book us in. Once seated we were told the refillable drinks were out of order, we usually have 4 drinks each minimum. The drinks we ordered took 14 minutes to get to our table . We went to get food and no plates, we stood near the food with other customers and waited 9 minutes before some plates were brought out. This was extremely disappointing. Worse visit we've ever had in over 30 visits.

Know this review is a very bad one but I will say I've been many times before and had a good time. We arrived as a family of five and were shown to our seat.The waitress explained that the drinks machine was broken and they only had bottles..These things happen so we ordered j2o and diet cokes..The waitress then came back and apologised that they had run out of cutlery and it would be 15 mins before they got more.The drinks arrived but no glasses.I requested some to be told we weren't allowed any as they were restricted..The expected my 80 year old mother to drink from a bottle..I asked to see a supervisor who on the threat of us getting up and walking out finally relented..We gave up waiting for cutlery and went and took some from other tables..Then just as we thought we might get round to eating something we noticed big groups of people waiting for plates..They were obviously terribly short staffed..We was sat near the till and as I ate I watched a constant stream of people going to complain..Frankly it was a total shambles from beginning to end..When I went to pay I started to complain but then just said "you've heard this thirty times already haven't you?" She looked at me and just nodded so I just felt sorry for her and just paid..Frankly £130 wasted and I won't be returning again.If management are reading this I suggest you get your act in order because Sunday was the kind of shambles that turns thriving restraints into ghost towns.

Service was terrible. The food while there is a good selection. Is of a very poor quality. At £22 per head, I would expect better. I won't be returning.

Booked a table for 8:15pm as that was the only time they had (booked at around 5pm) we arrived and it was heaving people queuing out the door.. we told the staff our names etc people were complaining (walk ins) that it was taking too long which to be honest it’s expected when it’s a Friday night. Staff seemed very overwhelmed and under pressure. We got seated pretty quickly with it being only the two of us, only issue was us having a pram because we have a baby and so they had to find us a different table so we were waiting another 10 mins while staff hustled to find us a table to fit our pram.. everything was okay but I’d be mindful of choosing what time to go as we sat down around 8:30 and they stop replenishing the food at 9pm so there really wasn’t much left for us to choose from to eat and most things were rock hard or soggy so not great, the drinks ice machine was also being dodgy and would only fill abit of ice mostly water so that was annoying, me and partner have had severe belly ache since being home after a few hours so that isn’t great either. Over all I’d say it can be good sometimes it’s hit and miss, but just choose the time you go wisely.

Cosmos is a lovely place to eat so many choices everything was well presented and looked fabulous the staff are lovely we were well looked after

(SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO TO A BETTER PLACE) I went to Cosmo years ago and did not like it I thought I would try it again for my friend`s birthday. It was horrible!!!! We walked in and were taken to our table the waitress came over I had to ask her to slow down she was talking way too fast rushing to get back to standing and doing nothing. she had attidute issue`s. when we told her what drinks we would like we went up to get the food and that was horrible it all tasted like microwaved warmed-up take-out. the food had been sat under the lights for so long it was sticking the the trays i tried to get chips and onion rings and they were stuck. I tried the noodles which were covered in grease and the lemon pork was so tough to eat it nearly broke my teeth. then when we were leaving we tried to get a mint each to get the horrible taste of food out of our mouths and the waitress who took our order gave the birthday man attitude telling him to put them back. When we tried to pay they added a 3% service charge to the bill I asked what this was for and the reply was it`s for listening!!! absolute joke adding a fee for them doing nothing i had to clear my table because no one would come and take our plates. WE NOT BE RETURNING TO THIS **** HOLE

Went on Saturday was sooo busy it’s good we booked a table. The food was fresh and delicious had so many different dishes, in the end could barely breathe :D was soooo worth it.

The food looks very nice but underneath it's mostly all the same, bland and tasteless and cannot justify the high price charged. The dining area and toilets are in poor shape and desperately needs a makeover. Cannot recommend.

A large group of us came here for a birthday. The place was absolutely packed, but we were seated straight away (we were 20 mins early as well) so happy about that! Everyone in our party really enjoyed the food! So much selection, nothing was running out. Apart from the plates they were a bit sparse. But all the staff were running around working very hard. Decent service from what we had. Would return again…. But please put prawn toast back on! Haha

Food was OK. Typical salty but flavourless buffet food. Appreciated the unlimited softdrinks option. Staff were lovely but the booth they put us in was dark, and the seating was all ripped.
