Arrived at 14:30 to find it shut. This is not unusual as it frequently shuts early. I have never known it open at 17:00 although it may well do. Cannot rely on the cafe being open after shopping. Do not make popping in a part of your plans.

I visited here on 17thof march we received the best service from Demi. Kind genuine and personable, Great atmosphere in the shop and service was very quick with the best made coffee I have ever had in a costa. Staff in this store are a credit to your company. I will definitely be returning. Thank you

This is a Tesco, good place to meet for coffee. Snacks and meals available all day. Large supermarket.

We went here having had a quick shop. We ordered a latte and a soy milk latte...it was fab that we could order a soy milk latte (no extra money) without being penalised financially having Soy. The only problem I can say was that there were a lot remnants of coffee grains on the other latte. However all in all it is a good clean relaxing place after shopping.

Plenty of seating, but couldn't sell half the cakes because it was on show for the next day. Could be cleaner.

I dunno, there's something about the machine setup maybe (and possibly the charming and beguiling staff), but the coffee out of this place is the best I've tasted. I usually have a small black americano, unsweetened, undoctored. It turns out great each time! Too bad the place sits atop Tescos though, up some very steep stairs. There is an elevator however, and the locaion is convenient if you're out to do the shopping I guess. Kudos to the staff.

The staff here are very friendly and the costa is one of the better Costa establishments within a Tesco that I have visited.

Until fairly recently my work was as a Chauffeur, having completed my morning's jobs I would normally arrange to meet other Chauffeurs from my company in our "Office", at least that way our Boss would know where we all were ! Alas all good things come to an end and I retired. However I do still make visits to the Costa Coffee site in the Tesco Extra and keep up my acquaintanceship's with the staff, such as Sarah, Vickie and Stewart the Manager. Keep up the great work everyone, see you soon

I guess to visit on a weekend gives substandard quality. The coffee is weak and lacks the taste. If you pay£ 5.00 you would expect a brilliant coffee but unfortunately it falls short of taste. Barrista is a fancy name but they should get better training how to produce a good coffee. Iam happy to spend a day there and teach them how it's done Also it could be cleaner

Had another coffee here the other day, should give up trying the muffins. They always taste stale, usually leave most of the cake. The coffee i probably the best around, but food seems to miss out. always seems stale to me. Usually friendly service here which is nice to see.

Still lets you down with the pastries, I cannot think the last time I had a fresh pastry here. It is a shame because they do good coffee. Plenty of seating upstairs in the Tesco also no problem with parking, friendly staff.

Visited on Saturday staff really nice although coffee was stronger than expected for a mocha. Although a guy was clearing the odd table of cups the surrounding floor areas and rubbish, crumbs on the seats really were filthy. Never been this bad before. Appalling

This has its good and bad days, some days you go here and the tables are sticky and dirty other days they are clean. I would imagine this is down to who is on shift. The coffee is not bad here, but sometimes the pastries can taste a bit old not fresh. Be careful when ordering. Staff are usually very friendly service with a smile.

The Costa Coffee (upstairs in Tesco Extra) is a nice large airy space that is not overcrowded with seats and tables. Service was good, but the coffee lacked something and left an aftertaste that lasted quite a while – our table was also sticky through not been wiped when the table was last cleared. May visit again when travelling through this part of the world as the next alternative place to stop is even worse (although is open 24-7).

staff not that friendly as some say. depends who their serving, cleanliness could do with improvement not always clean inside or out. i was shown up by the manager and a member of staff last time i was in there Infront of other customers. i will never go in there again. i have been to other Costas and got a much better experience and very friendly. and just a note to add not that has anything to do with the service, but one of the girls was sacked from there for taking 2 sandwiches but the managers farther get coffee and food free and sits in there all day, one rule for one as the saying goes.

Really good coffee thats why i like Starbucks. Friendly staff and great service but sometimes they were getting slow after serving a customer or two because but the staff busy in gossip conversations in front of the customers who are waiting to be served. Location is good so do the atmosphere.

We visited today. There was a limited menu due to Christmas lunches, which was fine. We ordered a tuna mayo sandwich on brown bread with salad and chunky coleslaw. And a tuna cheese ciabatta with salad and chunky coleslaw. Waited 20 mins, which again was fine given the time of year. But the sandwich turned up on white bread, and neither had coleslaw. The server who bought it apologised and took the sandwich back. He returned with the sandwich on normal brown bread. Still no coleslaw, to which he said “there isn’t any”, we had not been told that there was none when ordering as we would have gone elsewhere, and what poor customer service to then bring the food without it and not say a word. Rip off. We stated that we wanted a partial refund, the young lad went to ask and said that ‘Gary’ would sort something out. Gary didn’t even bother coming to see us, let alone sorting something out. But I also have to mention the salad could have fitted on a tablespoon. The bread was normal sliced supermarket. The sandwich cost was £8:45 and the small ciabatta cost was £8:99. Really just for a small sandwich and small ciabatta. Very expensive, poor quality and a rip off trying to get away with delivering a plate of food with things paid for missing, hoping we would not notice there was no coleslaw on the plate. And to top it all, the manager ‘Gary’ totally ignored the complaint and may just have said “tough”. Do not visit this garden centre if you expect to eat well at good value prices and and above all, to be treated respectfully.
