Costa Coffee in Tonbridge and Malling

Considering the crazy Xmas rush, staff seem to be handling things smoothly. Service isn't the fastest but order is correct every time which I appreciate. Thank you 😊

Needs so redecoration and a second coffee machine as it gets very very busy.

Lots of uncleared tables outside but then there was only 3 staff but even so should clear the tables you see first .Lovely peach tea I drank with a gingerbread biscuit.

Well I can honestly say that I was not impressed. Very slow service. The lunch deal with toastie was disgusting and very dry. The staff were terrible and not at all customer friendly. I would not go to this one ever again 😒

Every table had not been cleared and alot of flies on the dirty plates and cups , Ordered a drink to have in nut left before finishing my drink as I felt uncomfortable and dirty

Baristas are nice, coffee and food are good, but this shop is always short of staff, so they don't have time to clear and clean tables. We had to clear our own table. Next time I'll take photos, because the management should do something about it, would be a shame not to.

Amazing vegan cakes and especially the tiffin and cheesecake. Very pleasant staff and really friendly and chatty. Would definitely visit again.

Very good Costa with all the usual options that Costa do, but the tables were not being cleared or cleaned and the whole place seemed a bit dirty.

Got a toasty and the lady called Irene said I had to pay for a tiny ketchup pouch if I had more than one I've never had to in any costa before found this very rude

Absolutely vile sitting in experience - of the 10 free tables in the restaurant 8 were left with discarded food and cups. I had to move plates with half eaten food and cups with dregs in the bottom from the table we sat at to the table next to us and wipe down my own table before seating. When we left only half of the stuff I'd moved had been cleaned up. Food and drinks wise its a Costa, you know what you're getting, decent if slightly overpriced coffee, but I would never eat in at theis establishment again and would recommend others didn't either. I know this isn't the case across the board for Costa either as I was in the restaurant in Maidstone literally yesterday and it was spotless. Wish I'd taken a few photos, there was literally drink splashed up the wall where we sat. Genuinely grim, needs more staff.

If Costa read this, I would like them to explain that for a company that spends a lot of money training the staff, why does every Costa taste different???? Your shops are not consistent and that's not good. I always tell them how to make my Belgian chocolate cooler from what I was told by someone who makes it the same she was taught how to by Costa. They should also bring back the malt powder they use to use. Having visited again today 23/10/2023 the place was super busy there were hardly any choices for food and cakes, no one was restocking selves and its so noisy in there you can't have a lunch meeting?? I normally got to snodland, which is always brilliant but was closed today because of staff shortages?? Maybe stop getting teenagers to run the place, and staff will last longer.

Slowest service I’ve experienced at a Costa. 15 minutes to serve 2 customers, it’s no wonder the queue was out the door.

Had my favourite sausage bap and caramel Latté . This store is always busy and needs more staff as I had to wait quite a while to be served . The staff are fantastic and really try hard to serve you as quickly as possible but when they make smoothies and frappes they needed someone at the till . Always lovely here .

Outlet nice and relaxed spoilt by a sour faced woman serving at the counter this morning , if you dont want to be there get another job!

Long queue, long wait, only 2 staff serving one of which was annoying and loud.

Although the service in here is really friendly, the short haired blonde lady is amazing! I'm sad to say it is filthy. The tables are almost ALWAYS dirty and you have to moves other people's cups and rubbish out the way to sit down, then clean the table yourself. I have a baby so l have wipes. People should clean up after themselves but also not a lot of space to do this. In the hot weather, it makes it uncomfortable with the flies. Air con is very temperamental, so if you're looking for a tasty coffee in an unpleasant environment, this is the place to be 😊

Visited this branch today with my family. All the front staff are lovely, bubbly and efficient. We sat down and managed to spilled my husband's drink. Went and ask for help, Victoria managed to spot and helped me all the way for clearing my mess without any hesitation. Of course, I helped her as I can't just sit in one corner whilst she's cleaning the mess I made. She's amazing. She helped with passion, calmly and professionally. Thank you so much Victoria. You're an asset to this branch.

Always very busy, service & coffee quality depends on whichever staff are on rather than being consistent & they don't always keep on top of the cleanliness given covid times not so long ago. ( Review written June 2023).

Absolutely filthy place. No tables were cleared so there was nowhere to sit in the cafe, the floor looked like it had never been swept and cups and plates piled high on the tables. Behind the bar was another story. As an ex Costa employee myself I would've been sacked on the spot if my bar was as messy as theirs was. Again, cups, blenders (not washing blender's between drinks either, serious allergy risk) and what looked like mouldy milk spills on the floor along with lids, napkins and coffee grounds. When I eventually did get served, as the staff were too busy chatting, eating and drinking or on their phones (again, I would've been scalped if I was spotted on my phone behind the bar let alone taking a phone call) the staff member was too distracted and didn't put the lid on my drink properly resulting in me spilling my drink just outside the store. I went back inside to attempt to get another drink, but it would've been easier to get blood out of a stone.

It was lovely 😍 (a year ago) Last week & today a different matter. It’s dirty & the costa app doesn’t always work on this store. I’m scared to visit the toilets don’t know what I would find.

Worst Costa I have ever visited. They had four members of staff behind the counter and not one of them was actually serving customers. It took 30 minutes to even place an order and the queue was out the door, not because it was particularly busy, there was plenty of empty seats, etc... but because of how slow they were being. They were completely disorganised with no clue what they were doing. They need to get someone in to give them some training on how to organise themselves and been efficient like at other Costa's I've been too. Would not recommend this location at all. Avoid.

Tried a new drink didn't like it!!

I have just been given the best cappuccino I have had from any of the big coffee chains. It was light, and foamy. The young guy with glasses and the three ghosts tattoo on his arm, smashed it! He made my day. Sad I know, but I love coffee and always get disappointed when I get a lataccino... because the person can't make a propper cappuccino. This guy is fantastic!

I love this place I always used to come here for a hot chocolate when I worked locally, the staff are lovely and costa always had alternative milk.

Quiet, quick service and staff helpful and accommodating

I asked for a large cup of tea instead of a pot, with just a little bit of green milk. The woman seemed to hear that as more milk than tea. It looked awful. When I went up to ask for a replacement as I couldn't drink it as it was, I said I normally get a jug on the side to add my own milk. She snapped back that this is not how they do it. I never have any issues when using Headcorn or maidstone town centre costas. Always get a separate jug of milk. Enjoy your trip to Amsterdam, maybe return to work with a nicer attitude.

All yummy and drinks are well balanced. Staff are lovely. I'd only avoid the cinnamon bun though - that was on the dry side.

No gluten free as with most costa

When visiting Skoda Maidstone over the last 6 years I always come here to work remotely and have to say that the store consistently makes great coffee and are polite and friendly. It's a very clean store and clearly well run and looked after. Some of the staff are exceptional and that's great to see. Compared to alot of Costa Coffees especially in London where i live they could learn a lot from the team here. I just wish i could get phone reception here and WiFi but manage to get by.

They were clearly rushed off thier feet / understaffed, but did everything with a smile, laughing and joking with the customers. I rarely leave reviews but felt the two working behind the counter deserved a big thumbs up. I only saw one of the name badges Shannon 👍👍

Not the best Costa Coffee I have been to. Staff got my coffee order wrong unfortunately. The place was convenient for us to use at the time though.

Staff are miserable, tone towards customers is all off. You'll also wait an eternity for your drink, which was OK.

No air conditioning. The poor staff are suffering and company doesn't seem to care. So using takeaway cups to save on dishwasher. Apparently been broken for 3 weeks. Staff should walk out

Not the best latte, milk was a bit watery and not frothy. I go to a chain so I get consistency of quality, need to do better.

I used dozens of different coffee shops across Kent and Surrey as I travel for work, and Quarry Wood is one of the best. The staff are friendly, it is always clean, and unlike so many they actually take pride in the product. Most local Coasta in my area are franchised by Goldex Incestments and they are appalling. Quarry Wood has never let me down.

Same gripes as other reviewers, despite several staff behind the counter, there's nothing fast here if you want a quick takeaway coffee. Takes an age for them to take and make the order. They also do not know the difference between a latte & a cappucchino. Why would you serve cups of foam to customers asking for a latte which is supposed to be a milky espresso shot coffee?? The food is also often poorly presented as well as burnt or overcooked, the cakes & pastries are frequently stale & dry. Don't expect the finest experience here. ( I've worked in catering for years, not what I expect of a large chain).

Costa Coffee is Quick and Efficient. From the Start of One's Order to the collection is Mostly a Five Minute wait. The Staff are very Friendly, Helpful and Professional. No Sitting in at The Moment. I highly Recommend Costa for a Quick Efficient Takaway.

Great service here. Friendly baristas with smiling faces, polite and taking care to make you comfortable during this time. Safety and distancing measures in place such as a limited number of people inside, spots to stand and keep distanced from other customers, safety windows at tills and now even an app so that you can order ahead and collect. Tables have been moved around so that there's a one-way system, for distancing.

Got a good system in place for pre ordered and counter ordered drinks. Also cleared the tables for a spacious one way system. Nice coffee as well, most importantly!
