Don't dare go on a Friday evening or weekend, the queue is always all the way to the other side of the warehouse, with people cutting in at the front. There is also always a huge car queue to get in and it's really hard to park with non blue badge holders in the disabled bays. They seem to just let anybody into Costco now, it doesn't feel exclusive anymore.

Great members only shopping and fuel location. Easy access from the A52. Very busy on weekends.

Discounted goods for trade and public with subscription. Cheaper fuel at the filling station.

Everything is offered at a reasonable price and high quality. Excellent customer service

Fastest Costco cafe I’ve been to.

You could call the Derby Costco store my local one, but there’s about 5 all roughly the same distance from my home. This is a nice store but one that is plagued with parking problems. The car park is simply too small, and it’s the only Costco I’ve used in the UK where I’ve been forced to drive round the car park looking for spaces. It’s the parking issue that has prevented me from giving this store a 5 star rating. As ever the service is great in store, but I would expect no less from Costco.

Love Costco, nice food at reasonable prices, makes sure you've got a lot of storage space when you get home! There range of clothing is growing and changing all the time, they have a lot of TV's at good prices with excellent after sales support. It's highly busy at the weekend, choose your visit time carefully!

Loads of cool Xmas gift. Extremely busy. Fuel was 9p per ltr cheaper than in Chesterfield.

Great place to go to do bulk shopping as well as a great place to eat as the food is good and very affordable. Costco has excellent parking spaces with large bays for cars.

Weekdays are quiet. No samples. Late Saturdays are also quiet. Lots of Christmas related items available now

Quite busy with very limited parking availability. Many customers seem to disrespect the trolley areas and some are even leaving their trolleys in the carpark and on the walkways. Overall cleanliness wasn't great either.

Telephone customer service needs improving. Note for management: Praise Jake, and please have a 1 to 1 with Nisha/Neesha. I have shipped here quite a few times and enjoyed my experience in store, with most staff generally being enthusiastic. However, yesterday, my partner and I had a tire puncture and called up to check when the tyre bay would be open til and if we could have it replaced on that day. I had tried calling the tyre bay but had no luck with an answer so I chose to call the main store. Nisha/ Neesha picked up the phone to me, I advised of the situation and what we wanted and she replied with a blunt "wait a second" and put me on hold for 4 mins, then the call cut out. I called again and explained I had called already and recieved the same "hold on" reply and stayed on hold for 4/6 mins before the call dropped. When I called the third time I advised her that she wasn't telling me what she is doing and I don't want to be put on hold again if possible. She then proceeded to ask me a question in the rudest and dismissive tone. It was at this point that I stated I work in customer service and that her tone was not suitable nor appreciated, all I did was call up to get some answers, I didn't pressure her or speak rudely so I don't feel her response was warranted. After sometime she seemed to calm down but clung to the same blunt replies. Attitude like this will drive away sales, and if it wasn't for Jake, we definitely would have gone elsewhere. Please check in with her, support and train her properly. As I do not know of it was busy I store I don't know whether she was under a lot of pressure but it seems she needs help managing this. Eventually, she informed me that I would receive a call back. Jake from tyres was helpful and polite and answered my questions clearly. It took about 5/10 mins for call back which was good. Just a note that: your staff should be polite to all customers and have an understanfing they they don't know the needs of the individual they are speaking with so clear communication is key ( as an autistic individual it would be appreciated to have more staff who behave like Jake) .

Of the two stores we use, the Derby store has a better layout than the Leeds store . Christmas goodies now in the store

The layout of this store is like most Costco stores and so walking through the door you pretty much know where everything is. I've been a business (Executive) member for many years and it used to be restricted to business only members, unfortunately now though they have opened the doors to every man and his dog and so not only can everything be very messy in the clothing isle for instance, the queues at the tills can be horrendous too! As for the food area, it now seems that everyone brings their families for a day out shopping with some cheap (although damn good) food before heading home! This can be absolutely manic, much much better when the business only restrictions were in place as it has now become just another supermarket!.... Such a shame!

It was very busy again all the Halloween and Xmas products were on the shelves there were some good deals like 1 litre of baileys at 12.94 including vat max 2 litres per visit per card

A huge store, excellent for selected whosale items and electronics, household items and groceries. Accessible entrance and parking, plus helpful staff.

Spent 2 weeks trying to get through to audio/hearing aid department but no one answers phone. Main phone number is answered and they said the dept is open. No replies to one of the email addresses and the other bounces back.

Rubbish, did a load of shopping. Got to the till to be told our card had run out 2 days ago. Why did they even let us in. Left shopping at the till, embarrassing!!

Great prices if you are looking for bulk food and products, also top quality items across many types of product ranges such as meat, prepared foods, frozen foods, pet supplies and much more. Much better prices than almost all large supermarkets. Traffic at the entrance roundabout is now usually backed up even when it's not busy on the roads, just be aware of that. During the week is much better. Executive membership gets you in an hour earlier than normal and you also get 2% cashback on your purchases, which is very good and pays for itself if you purchase normal bulk items a couple times each month a few big items (TV, white goods, etc) each year.

I don't know - what do you say about Costco? It's utter madness at the weekend. All human life is there. Everything is big. You can even eat there and the pizza slices are huge (and cheap). The queue for petrol takes ages and there seems to be no system around the car park. I hate going but get there and am enthralled, overwhelmed by this American Temple of Consumerism. I think I'm doomed.

Very busy today on a Thursday, but they keep the tills moving. Car parking is getting to be a bit tricky as very few spaces are left. Nice large car parking spaces, though. Shame others are not like that.

Petrol is still much cheaper than Sainsbury next door as is milk, eggs and cheese

Unfortunately taste of sausage in hot dog is discusting. I always ate here after shopping and was fine. I'm not sure if they changed supplier but now per sausage is 1 kg salt. Salt is unhealthy so thank you but never again. Not recommended.

I go on average once a month. A member for a few years now. Fancied a pizza to take into work but forgot my wallet. Got denied entry despite being able to prove membership via website. A friend of mine mentioned if I had the app I could have activated a digital membership card. The Costco employee could have told me this but decided to be difficult.

Fantastic value and welcoming staff

Today, exactly at this moment, we are being placed in an unpleasant situation at the Costco entrance because we are using the app instead of the card. The justification was that he needed to see the user's photo on the card, even though this photo appeared on the verification screen and it was clearly possible to see that the person coming was the person on the account. This was not asked of any other customer behind us, they scanned their card and were welcome, without any photo checks. When I asked why, the employee simply made a sign with his hands for me to shut up......What bothers me most here is not the procedure to be followed but the rude way in which the employees treat customers, as if we were doing ourselves a favor by being here and buying here. We literally pay to be treated badly (especially when it's close to closing time). Every time I try to talk to management nothing happens, for me it is clear that the discrimination is the racism with which I am treated. What's the solution going to be, Costco? I must understand that to have access to the purchases that I am paying for I must accept the discrimination and racism of its employees????

Great selection if you're happy to buy in bulk or large portions. Fuel cost alone makes the membership worthwhile !

One of my favourite places, I totally love it here, 97% of the products for sale are of amazing, and of good quality, however, over the years the Kirkland batteries have nearly broken me ! I have had so much equipment and specialist equipment destroyed with these batteries, Why I haven't learned quicker, no idea... however, please beware and look out, because these batteries leak at a horrendous rate, and the main danger is that they still function, while they are leaking, so you don't get any warning! This is just one example of unfortunately many !!

Got everything that we went for today. Not over busy. Got around the warehouse quite easily and was served very fast. Well pleased.

This place is an amazing Wholesaler, we have been using them for years. They are good for so many things. The customer service here is excellent, and the staff are polite, friendly, and helpful. They have a website if you would like to see what they do. We highly recommend them, the facilities here are great too, with a petrol station, car tyre garage, toilets, restaurant and a huge carpark with disabled parking. It is all on the ground level with easy access for wheelchairs and trollies. It's worth a visit.

Busy petrol station but parking and store is great. Too many members making a weekend visit on the verge of avoiding. Many trolleys abandoned due to long queues.

Shop is good. You need to know your prices to see if good value or not. Probably the worst laid out car part in the world. No logic to it whatsoever and snarls the roads up all around Pri de Park.

Service from the restaurant part was abysmal , I asked for a extra piece of foil for my food as it was being taken home with me the answer I got was a very abrupt no you can’t and please bear in mind it was pizza that was dripping with oil. so I said ok could you chuck this in the bin then please as I don’t want it to make a mess in my car she rolled her eyes sighed and said “ok whatever here have some don’t worry about anyone else and if they need any” not the way I would like to be spoken too when I am out shopping and I was more than polite

Costco is good, but be careful when you are returning any items. Keep your bill receipt handy to know the amount you would getting back. The return process is very much manual and there are very high chances of manual errors and we might end up getting wrong amount credited and at some occasions wrong number of items been processed.. Had lessons learnt from few occasions with wrong return transactions, so keep your bill receipt handy if planning to return even though receipt is really not needed for returning items..

I loved how the oversized shopping trollies made me feel petite (I'm 6ft 5)

Brilliant experience with friendly staff, lots of choice and plenty of great offers, too. Some really good bargains to be had on bulk buys and some really good food to be sampled then purchased from the cafe. Car park is big and offers plenty of spaces. Staff on checkouts really courteous. Can't wait to go back. Ps the pizza is great 🍕🍕🍕

Love this Costco. Been shopping here for 4 years +. However I had a disappointing encounter with a staff member named Callum. He was very rude to me at the door whilst I was trying to enter the store with my partner and 2 very young children. The picture on my card needed updating. He was very abrupt for no reason.

There’s no mango smoothie it made my son cry but atleast they have good food but when we were walking through the shop and my son wanted and extra sample the woman called my son greedy

Definitely go in the week again, so much better than the weekend when every man and his wife seems to be in there. Great Fuel prices too. Saturdays and Sundays are extremely busy in Store and the Fuel Station

Super busy today. A few new products on display to try. Wide selection covering all palates. Roast chickens were disappointing, smaller than usual. Overall costs have gone up. But seem to have everywhere.

Visited Derby store today (fri) with my parents, they're in their late 70's and got lost coming in the first place as not from the area, then were a little out of sorts at the customer service desk. The man who helped them couldn't have been any more friendly and patient and assisted my dad with the whole membership setup and so on. Think his name was Robert, seemed like management but was ever so good. So a huge thankyou from us.
