Cosy Club in Cheshire West and Chester

I had quite a poor experience whilst at the Cosy Club. Can't really fault the service or the Bloody Mary and it's not the staffs fault, but for close to £17, I'd expect a lot more than what was put on my plate. It was insulting and I'd be absolutely embarrassed if I had to put what was put down in front of me if I worked there. How they can get away with that is astonishing. Terrible.

Sat for 45 min waiting for food (as photo shows the empty table). Hope they will come soon! The food arrived and was alright. We came here a couple of times, the food was much nicer than today’s, but waited as long as we waited today. If Cosy could shorten the waiting time, we might come more often 😄 plus, the food was nice also might because we are starving after waiting for 45 min.

Wow, What a New Years Eve? Can't fault anything about the evening. Fantastic food, Fantastic staff, and fantastic everything else. So glad we upgraded to the food package. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be making a return visit

Food was really nice, lovely atmosphere. Only thing that wasn't the best was the waitt time on the food on this particular day. Any other time my family have visited this has not been a problem. Staff were very apologetic and help.

Staff were superb and the food was delicious! I would highly recommend for their Christmas menu. The Christmas burger was great.

Popped in during our anniversary weekend for a quick lunch while visiting the Christmas markets - I only got a couple of small plates but the quality of the food was outstanding, some of the best bites I've had the pleasure of tasting in a long time. Highly recommended, staff very friendly and polite.

Ordered panko coated cod. When it eventually arrived, it was a tiny square of fish. I don't know what it was covered in, but it definitely wasn't Panko. My husband's burger was OK, but the patty had been cut in 2, ordered onion rings which were burnt on 1 side and raw/greasy on other. Service was slow, but staff were pleasant enough.

Was here last night in atrocious weather conditions. The place was packed and quite noisy, a good sign and the service was friendly and swift despite every table taken. The food was gorgeous, fresh and tasty. Not cheap although still worth the money it was so lovely. Really nice decor and atmosphere I would love to return, too marks all round!

Came her for a little date with my boyfriend and it’s was absolutely lovely, I had the fish and chips and there were delicious, I have been to the cosy club before and loved my experience here but today was extra nice, the food was delish my waiter Lenny was an angel and was very nice and made the experience even more special and enjoyable so thank you very much to him for that

There was nothing really wrong with what we had to eat. In fact the burger I had was excellent, but the whole experience was uninspiring. Starters did not appeal, nor did the deserts, so we only had a main. The draught IPA was a bit tasteless.

Last minute booking and they accommodated us at a nice table not put into a corner out the way. A lovely selection on the menu which made it hard to choose, but the food was delicious and nicely presented. A few large groups in celebrating Christmas but we were not overlooked, the lovely Holly looked after us really well such a pleasant and charming young lady. Our first visit to Chester and we felt very spoilt. Just wish there was a Cozy Club close to where we live in Kent. Thank you

I wouldn't usually post a review for a chain, but had to leave one after tonight. My partner and I came for dinner on Monday eve (19:30) and it was quite busy for a Monday, drinks took a little bit of time to come but we barely noticed as we were enjoying the music, the decor and generally just chatting. The food was fantastic, really tasty however the person who attended to us really made the night- tall gentleman who was wearing braces, was incredibly kind and attentive all night, even gave recommendations for the local area. When we come back to Chester, he'd be a big reason we come back to the cosy club- whatever you're paying him, it isn't enough.

Nice food but service was incredibly slow. We were there for lunch in the middle of a work day and were there over 2 hours from arrival to paying the bill. Don't recommend for a quick lunch but would be fine if you're not in any kind of rush.

Didn't enjoy it as much as the last time I visited in August, some strange flavour combinations. Went for dessert elsewhere.

We liked everything about this place, the service was lovely and our server was very helpful. They even took our gluten-free order separately, which was fantastic. It may have been an off day for the kitchen staff, as the food did not live up to the service. We ordered a variety of brunch foods, but none were presented well, and looked like they had been reheated which was a shame. Will tru again to see if this was an off day.

Had a fantastic bottomless brunch here yesterday . From start to finish we had the best service . Jessie looked after us amazingly well , she’s a credit to the place . Food and cocktails were gorgeous . Thank you

Ive wanted to come here for a while! The decor is amazing! We only came in on the off chance as we were passing and had food off the brunch Menu. Food was great however, the BEST part for me was the baby changing facilities. I had my 6 month old with me. It was so clean. So thankyou! It was a relief to change my baby in a clean environment. Will definitely be visiting again.

The usual with this kind of place. Fortune spent on templated ‘cosy’ decor but let down by hot food and drink served cold, long waits and overworked staff.

6 of us visited for a birthday treat. Had cocktails to start. My only complaint is that I didn't get a passion fruit half in my Porn star cocktail ☹️ The food was lovely and we will definitely come back.

Visited here for lunch today with my sister and my mother, who uses a mobility scooter. The food was excellent (including plenty of vegetarian and vegan choices), but the outstanding feature was our server, Chris, who was delightfully cheerful and was also kind towards my mother without being patronising. We will definitely visit here again soon. I've only scored the atmosphere as 4* rather than 5* because the music was a bit loud for us ... maybe young person's volume rather than oldies like us!!

First visit and I really enjoyed being there. Lovely atmosphere, looks great and good music played. Only had drinks, so I can't comment on the food. Bar service was very friendly, bit slow because they where making a lot of cocktail orders and there wasn't enough staff available. But that wasn't their fault, or I just picked a nice that most people drunk cocktails. Really comfortable place to visit again.

I had wanted to eat here for a while but never did. Finally came here on a date night to try here. My bf and family had told me this place was really good, so I went in with high hopes. When we got there, there wasn’t any one there to serve us and seat us down for a while which was a bit of a disappointment. However that was resolved and the waiters were very apologetic. The interior of the place was very pretty and felt very warm. I got the King Prawn Massaman Curry which was part of their new menu. The food did take a very long time to come which didn’t bother me too much as I had already had a snack before going out, so I didn’t mind the wait, and the waiter came over to apologise multiple times. The food that did come out was so nice, and the perfect spice level for me. I would definitely recommend this dish. When we got the bill we also got a huge 50% discount to apologise for waiting times of the food, which I thought was very generous of the staff. I would definitely come again.

I came for a meal and a pint on Thursday evening. I was greeted upon entry by a very friendly member of staff and shown to a table of my choice. It wasn’t busy when I was there and the atmosphere was very calm and cosy. The food was fresh and delicious - 10/10. I was served by Alex and Chloe who were both very attentive, friendly and chatty. I will definitely be returning! I 100% recommend!!

Visited on a busy Saturday evening. The food was amazing 🤩 Staff friendly, service a bit slow due to it being busy. Had the best meal out in ages. Venue is quite lively and quite noisy. Can't wait to eat here again.

Nice venue and staff but not value for money. I had the prawn curry which was tasty but tiny. There were 5 prawns in it and a small portion of rice. no veg. Before I ordered it the waitress suggested I might want to order flatbread with it and when it arrived I could see why. The tiny curry was nearly £19 and the flatbread was an extra £3 ! Really!? The bread should come with it included.

A pleasant setting, we accidentally ended up in town on race day as we're not local and simply did not know about it and this place was a bit more civilised. However Drinks were very overpriced (around £13 for a cocktail is insanity and this trend of over £10 for a single drink needs to do one in general.) toilets were missing any toilet roll OR soap, which is incredibly poor

The absolute best experience! Jessie was the such an amazing waitress! An absolute credit to cosy club! As always Paige was exceptional too! The staff are what make this place so special and the reason we keep coming back! Thank you to The amazing team at cosy club x

Had the most delicious dish of Spanish chicken tonight, staff were lovely, wine was nice a very good finish to a wonderful day.

Large branch close to Chester cathedral with vintage decor and buzzy atmosphere. We had three courses and really couldn't fault the food. Excellent mains (sea bass and truffle ravioli), topped off with the most delicious toffee apple flan. Service was cheerful and responsive. It was very busy, but staff seemed in control and you could still hear yourself think.

Always a lovely experience at a Cosi Club venue

Following a visit to a sister restaurant in Cardiff, I brought my family in for breakfast. A lot quieter on a Friday morning than I imagine it would have been given how lovely it is. Staff were really friendly and attentive. Service was on point. Food was really well presented and tasty. I had the California breakfast which was really good. No complaints from any of us and will absolutely return. Thanks.

Came here for a bite to eat at lunch, all the food came fast and was lovely! The halloumi was a little bit overcooked but that’s me grasping at things to say. Lovely service, will definitely be back!

Lovely food and service. Rosey was an amazing host who made our experience and I think she deserves the world and more. The chicken burger was gorgy! Especially the Mac and cheese frites (which I got on the side) - we ended up spending £42 each for bottomless brunch which consisted of a meal each, about 7 drinks each and 2 bottles of Prosecco. All hosting staff were lovely and accommodating- thanks for a cracking time 🥳

Great atmosphere great staff we just kept ending up in there . We recognised most of the staff from the last time we were in Chester 18 months ago which is testament to the way the venue is managed . Something on the menu for everyone

Gorgeous find, opens out upstairs into a speak easy/French/Asian inspired world! The lighting is spectacular, and we were told that the main light is made by the makers of GOT! the food was beautiful 😍 and we will definitely be back!

Would give zero stars if i could. Saw a member of kitchen staff on his break constantly spitting outside...it was digusting! I counted 30 times in a few minutes. Not what you expect to see outside a restaurant/bar wearing his kitchen uniform...i was appauled. Definately wont be going there...really put me off🤮🤮🤢

Absolutely loved our breakfast at The Cosy Club! I tried the Berry Pancakes and my partner had the Shakshuka. Sharing both dishes allowed us to enjoy a delightful mix of flavors. We can’t wait to return, thank you!

Visited here with my Mom for the first time recently, we ordered the salmon fish cakes and the asian chicken bites and both really enjoyed our meals! The waiter we had was also really lovely 🤍. We hope to come back sometime soon 😊.

Can't comment on the food as didn't have any, but the cocktails were very nice indeed. I really liked the chocolate (just a hint of chocolate; not overwhelming) old fashioned, can recommend.

Former colleagues/good friends and myself got together for a catchup and lunch. The restaurant was very light and airy,the service came with a smile and helpfulness and the food was really lovely. I did have a small fight cutting the sour dough up but that is the nature of sour dough I guess. I would recommend and return to cozy club. Thank you.

Went for Bottomless Brunch and it certainly didn't dissapoint. Venue is large and wonderfully decorated with a great atmosphere. The Bottomless Brunch option was explained clearly and the staff were simply amazing. Food was good, and drinks were plentiful. Wonderful atmosphere, good food and amazing service.

We normally enjoy our visits to this chain. Unfortunately not on this occasion. We had our dog with us and waited at the desk. The server and counter staff saw us standing but turned back around to continue having a conversation. We decided to grab a couple of menus from the desk and checked out suitable areas to sit. We decided on sitting well away from other diners in a corner. Took our jackets off to chill out. Just about to sit down when told you can't sit here but can in these other areas. She pointed them out and told us to order at the bar. All the areas available were of sofas and coffee tables, fine if you want coffee and cake but for a meal! You really need a proper table for a lunch. Decided on leaving and found a more suitable establishment.

Butcher’s Breakfast! Probably best breakfast I’ve ever had!

We had a very nice lunchtime meal with my family. We had our three year old with us and the staff were amazing with him. The children's Mac and cheese was a hit with the boy. No fish finger sandwich was top notch, with very big chunky fish fingers. No complaints about the portion size here! My wife had some small plates; the arancini balls and the prawns were very good. Generous portions, too.

Quiet Monday lunch, but super small plstes, very reasonable prices

1st visit to this carvery a bit disappointed the staff looked a little bit flustered as if they were doing some body else's job and uncomfortable doing it and just had enough food to serve wanted beef but not available had to have Turkey ☹

We went to celebrate a very personal result yesterday 14th March. We would definitely recommend here. All The Staff are lovely. We are 68 and 70 and they talked to us just like friends. We had A Chicken salad and a Halumi salad (I'm not a lover of mustard or honey but the ingredients sounded so nice I gave it a try). Absolutely gorgeous so tasty.. Definatly recommend. I will definitely have again . Then apple tart and Chocolate cheesecake. (Never mind the calories ). . The taste is delicious. Th background music is perfect not too loud. And the time inbetween meals just right. Your not rushed at all. A very big warm hearted thank you to Chris whose kindness made this a very memorable day.

Located in the city centre a very relaxing pub for a pint after a day of walking. Staff very chatty, beer refreshing but not that cheap, deco is stylish.

Three of us and two dogs, lovely environment and decor, but it was " dead" on a Sunday night. Also : no service" as we were sitting in the dog corner, which was a bit strange. But will deffo go again.

Classic Cosy Club decor in this city centre bar and great value cocktails with their Teatime Tipple offer. We visited on a Monday and Tuesday evening and the cocktails were excellent. The duty manager on the Tuesday was very friendly and engaging, even offering to exchange one of my wife's drinks when she found it wasn't to her taste, Can't complain at that service! We can't comment on the food as we were concentrating on the drinks! A very nice spot for a decent drink, near the cathedral

I’ve been lots and will continue to go, but the service it’s so hit and miss. You don’t know what you will get.

My Husband and I had a lovely meal 9th Feb. The staff are so obliging and helpful, so much so, I am treating our two daughters tonight 13th Feb before we go to the Story House.

Nice atmosphere great service and good food.

I go to cosy clubs all over and usually have a great service but Chester isn't it. The woman at the bar and staff didn't smile or seem friendly at all. It was very quiet when we went not even a quarter full of people. It's supposed to be table service but she ignored us and we had to go the bar twice to order our drinks and food. No complimentary water offered. No smiles. Not the best atmosphere. For the price you'd expect at least some table service and not made to feel stupid when ordering.

It's a lively place. We only called in here for a drink. It's a little odd with a sort of lounge as you enter, but everything else is upstairs. Didn't try the food, but I noticed the limitless prosecco was very popular. There's not a great beer choice, but I suppose it's more like a wine bar.

We usually go for breakfast, but this time it was a preshow meal. Thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, great food and helpful staff. Definitely will be going back.

Went for drinks but it seems to be more of a food place

6 of us caught up for food and drinks, and unfortunately we barely hear each other. It was extremely loud in Cosy Club. Also, our food and drinks took an age to arrive. My main was really poor - risotto. Very watery, wouldn’t recommend. Also, due to items not being available on the menu, vegetarian choices were limited. Overall, disappointing.

A lovely place to visit and great attention to allergies. My coeliac dining companion was well looked after with the best gluten free awareness we have experienced anywhere we have ever eaten.

I am a Cosy Club fan. Today the Manager was on a loud conference call in the corner of the restaurant (earphones?) Great place otherwise. Brilliant in fact. Avoid Monday mornings unless you want to listen in.

Warming up our morning with a breakfast cuddle at the Cozy Club! A vegan breakie cozied up with the traditional. Breakfast perfection in the coziest corner! Absolutely delicious! The mushrooms were so tasty. Service brilliant. Thank you. ❤️

We spent NYE here while visiting Chester. What an amazing experience! Prior to traveling to the UK, I reached out to the restaurant regarding my daughters dietary restrictions. Even though it was a Pre Fixe menu, they were very accommodating and allowed her to select dishes from their regular menu. I emailed her requests. I did inform them that my husband was also gluten free. But since their NYE menu already contained plenty of options, he didn't need to order something different. When we arrived, the host mentioned the special meal right away and acknowledged my husband's Gluten Intolerance. When we were seated the server also commented on the GF needs at our table. As it turned out, my daughter wasn't able to join us due to illness. So they applied the amount I prepaid for her meal to our bar tab. So that worked out perfectly! The food was phenomenal! We enjoyed everything from the canapés to the dessert. It was probably the best meal of our entire 12 day trip to the UK. And our server was wonderful as well. I really can't say enough about the Cosy Club in Chester. Their service and food are top notch!
