Cosy Club Bath in Bath and North East Somerset

Large spacious cafe bar in the South Gate. Lovely decor and atmosphere with subtle lighting, spacious and airy. It was early when we went, so it was still quiet, but I am sure it gets very busy at times. The jug of water and water glasses was a nice touch. Coffees and breakfast were lovely, well presented, and tasty. Classic Breakfast at £12.25 was good value and lovely. Service was friendly and attentive and efficient. There is an outside terrace, which would be lovely in the summer. Will pop back again to try lunch or dinner 😁

A mediocre meal and experience. Despite booking, emailing ahead and trying to call to request a high chair was on the booking, we had to wait 5m at the table for one. We felt rushed to order and then it was very long wait for food. Which was noted and we received an apology. Food wasn’t piping hot and because of how long it took to arrive none of us felt comfortable raising it there and then. Food was tasty though and it was a nice atmosphere.

Popped in to catch up with an old friend. She chose the Cosy Club in the city of Bath as she was a regular there. I gave them another chance, as on the last two occasions they were let down by the service as she was very pushy, rude and rushed even if we were only two tables in the whole place at lunchtime. This visit was much better! We had two bottles of NZ Sauvignon Blanc between the two of us with 4 small plates. We spent almost £100 in total. I wasn't impressed with the starters at all. Very tiny or small as described, the taste was okay with nothing to write home about or returning soon based on food. The service was good this time, we felt relaxed, and they left us enjoying our time! Or perhaps it was in a bar area. All in all, we had a lovely time here with good company! My friend recommended breakfast here.

Waited over an hour for our breakfast to not turn up. Kept getting told it was 5 mins. Waited so long it was lunch time. So left. Very poor

The food is good and mostly reasonably priced, great drink selection. Can get very busy, busy when I visited but food didn't take too long. I love the atmosphere of the cosy club and the service was fantastic.

Unimpressed by everything about this place.

This is the most terrible restaurant I have ever been to in my life. The service is virtually nonexistent—they simply ignore you and leave used plates on the table. The food seems to be bought from Lidl or Co-Op and merely warmed up in a microwave. The chips were like wood shavings, the burger was rubbery, and the buns felt like plastic. I suspect they don’t even have actual cooks; the waiters likely just heat up frozen food from Lidl or Co-Op themselves. To add insult to injury, the food is criminally overpriced. Told the waiter that I would like to speak to their manager. I waited 15 minutes, but the manager never showed up.

Very cosy, was a lovely place to stop off and relax for a little bit before going home . Service was excellent .

This Cosy Club met our expectations and was in line with the others we've been to in the past. It was busy, but we were able to book a table and the service was very good. The location is fantastic and in the summer it would definitely be worth a visit to have drinks and a meal on the covered balcony.

Went to Cosy Club on Wednesday to enjoy their Teatime Tipple. Clearly stating in the menus that get two cocktails for 12.95 between 4-8pm. Unfortunately I was charged over 23 pounds with the manager stating they have changed that promotion to only after 9pm although all menus still state the previous special offer. It's a shame as the week before the offer was valid. As per trading standards legislation it's against the law to falsely advertise something, and I have checked all terms and conditions and nothing states the manager can change the promotion as they wish. Nothing wrong with the establishment but a chain like this should not be falsely promoting offers.

Stopped by briefly to grab drinks with a friend on a very busy night and not only were the drinks poppin' but the staff were top notch too you know!

Food was very disappointing. Christmas burger, £20!! Was just limp! If that is the highlight of the Christmas menu... Won't be coming back !

Booked a table so we could eat before a show in Bath at the Forum (Ed Gamble, highly recommend!). Had to call them on way there to move booking as we were running late - no problem at all. We were seated straight away, server was amazing (wish I had asked his name, he was brilliant). Explained we were running late so he did everything he could to speed things along. Food was really good, lovely atmosphere. But it was the friendly attentive service that made it fabulous. Thank you.

An incredible and unique place. Several spaces including a terrace for having a drink, eating... truly incredible. Porn star martinis served with a shot of prosecco are divine. The prices are in line with the quality and authenticity of the space, which is normal.

Very nice decor but this didn't make up for the bad service. I've been before and the food has been really nice albeit a bit cold. I have been recently and the restaurant has been quiet. The staff have been talking amongst themselves and it's been over 20 minutes before anyone even came to take drinks. We just left. It was unprofessional and a shame because I've had good experiences in the past

First time at Cosy Club last night and thoroughly impressed. Gorgeous venue, really lovely, professional, down to earth staff and food was so tasty !! Separate menu which for gluten free which the staff were all knowledgeable about. Thank you.

The place is amazing but the dishes are very small, not all at the same quality, and the service is quite poor. We will not come back again

Ordered the Coronation Chicken Burger, very disappointing- no flavour and chicken over cooked. When asked “how was your food”, I gave our server that feedback. I was told the burger “can be a bit like that!” Certainly not worth £16.99.

Always a great buzz here and enthusiastic team of staff willing to help and serve great cocktails. I have never eaten here but the drinks are great. The only reason for a 4 star on atmosphere is the ability to allow children in with irresponsible parents who allow them to sue it as a creche whilst adults are trying to escape youngsters!!

Good quality food, but portion size does not reflect prices charged

We visited yesterday morning for breakfast and had an excellent experience from start to finish, thanks to Cameron. We were seated on the terrace and Cameron was super friendly, professional and efficient, especially when we told him we were under slight time constraints due to having a train to catch - he let the kitchen know and also sorted our bill early for us. Food was excellent, coffee was particularly good, setting was great and the service was above and beyond - thank you, Cameron!

Cold food, they microwaved it and still cold. The waiter did tell me he would ‘see what he could do’ and then did nothing. They even tried to charge us for it. Wine was a screw top and not good. Location is the only thing it has going for it. Spend your money and time somewhere else.

Disappointed...portion was not generous and service was a tad slow. Like catching the eye of cabin crew on their way to their bunk rest! Also, don't try the avocado mushed with peas. It's not for the faint hearted.

Food was served cold, very expensive for the quality of the food. Something in it wasn't cooked properly and I ended up throwing up an hour after eating it and now I'm suffering with stomach pains. 100% won't be eating there again

So let down on this visit. Had been here once before last Christmas when it was busy but the food and service were great. However, this visit has totally changed my opinion and by looking at recent reviews the staff are not learning from their mistakes! My food and plate were not hot and my fish was not cooked all the way through - though the waiter insisted it was checked with a probe, even my friend could see it was uncooked across the table! As it was the last portion available they offered to recook it!!!! I declined and chose a starter to replace my meal as we were visiting the Forum and were short of time due to the length of time it took to serve us. No-one had checked to see if our food was ok, as I had to call someone over when I noticed my fish was uncooked. No-one offered dessert and we had to ask twice for the bill. My friend had breaded chicken which was dry and hard - ugh! On another note the hooks on the inside of th ladies toilet doors are inadequate and one customer shoved the door so hard when I was in the loo that the hook detached from the loop and the door swung open. Had booked a table of 4 for Christmas but won't be back now. If you can't cope with the bookings then don't take on so many

Lovely setting, huge chandeliers, rustic decor. Staff is very friendly. Food is expensive for what you get. House red wine was delicious. MUST book during weekends, or you will be waiting!!

Had a lovely meal at Cost Club in Bath! The team were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The location in the city center is perfect, and I was delighted to find plenty of allergen-free options on the menu. Would definitely recommend!

Nice little restaurant in the Southgate area of Bath. I felt that the food (breakfast) was a little overpriced and was a bit on the stingy side, although it was tasty enough.

We didn’t even get a “Hello” just greeted by a very grumpy man whose attitude stunk! I’d taken my friend to cheer them up and this was suppose to be a treat. I understand you’re busy but to be spoken to like that was awful! I would recommend being a lot more kindness. I wouldn’t recommend at all. The guy whom I assumed was the manager muttered under his breath when we asked for a table and said “Oh someone else will deal with you!” And stomped off. Common, we all have stuff going on but don’t take it out on the customers.

Met a friend in Bath and we decided to try Cosy Club for lunch. Unfortunately very disappointing. I had the prawn massaman curry. Really tiny portion (looked like a child’s meal to be honest), only 4 or 5 prawns and it was mostly sauce, with a couple of spoonfuls of rice. Not even a poppadum or bit of bread. For the price felt like a total rip off really and I was left still hungry. My friend had a burger which was also pretty small and dry looking. It’s a shame as it’s a lovely setting , but won’t be returning as the food quality was very poor for the price.

Went for breakfast - I had garden brunch which was great. My pal had the poached eggs and avo - they mixed up order because I'd changed from. Having the same but I added bacon. I don't blame them for the mix up but when we pointed out that my pal hadn't ordered bacon they took it to kitchen, removed bacon and brought it back. She's a veggie and we had to ask them to make another. They sorted it but was surprised at what they did initially.

Lovely dining experience! I had steak with my friend to celebrate my birthday. The food and drinks (cocktails) were delicious and when we had a mixup with the food the staff were great and quickly fixed things for us as well as discounted our meal due to the short wait we had for the amended dish. George in particular was very friendly and thoughtful making sure that we had everything we needed and I enjoyed chatting to them :)

The Cosy Club has always been a good spot for brunch. On this occasion (Saturday morning) it was extremely busy as could be expected. Unfortunately there were a few let-downs, some of which could potentially as a result of this: -Orange juice is not fresh, but rather from concentrate and from cartons. Had to return it as it tasted very unpleasant. -Food took about 1-1.5hr to reach us, which for breakfast seemed a little long. Oh well, it was busy. -Food was lukewarm when it arrived with us, which put a damper on the experience. Not cold enough to complain or send back, but not hot enough to fully enjoy, either. -Menu said on the classic breakfast 'egg any style' and then refused to make a boiled egg. Very strange? For a place that screams 'luxury' with its interior and customer service, it seems a shame that the quality was let down like this during our visit.

Cosy setting but was ruined by hair in food, was only offered a substitution or refund for that specific item rather than any compensation for ruined lunch. Most other places give lunch away for free or go further. Extremely disappointed

Booked on a Sunday afternoon. Service was ok, there was a large party of around 20 that seemed to be getting all of the staffs attention but, staff were very friendly. Food was not so good though. Chips and onion rings cold. We weren't sure whether the cosy club sandwich was supposed to be hot or not as it came out lukewarm. We'd come back but would try something else on the menu.

This visit was for a work event so there were 70+ people and I have to say they did handle this well although they left our table until last as they wanted a full table before they served us, when we pointed out that everyone had arrived we finally got a drink and our shared starters which were very good. My main course of fish and chips which had a £2 supplement was very disappointing as the quality was that of what would have come out of the freezer at a supermarket it certainly did not seem to be fresh. We did not have desserts so I am unable to comment on those. Overall the restaurant and staff were good considering the amount of us they were serving but I was a little disappointed with the food.

This is a lovely restaurant, with sympathetic decor and I'd definitely return. There's plenty of seating indoors and more seating outdoors on the balcony. The customer service is excellent. The young man who served us drinks was very knowledgeable when asked about the wines. They cater for food allergies very well. Our friend is dairy free and her meals arrived with a red flag. I ordered bread and when it was brought to the table, our friend was told that it wasn't dairy free. They take allergies seriously, which is reassuring to know. The second young man who served us was extremely personable, and the food was very good and well presented. We had a lovely evening. I have no hesitation in recommending Cosy Club.

We ordered three drinks the place was practically empty and they took sooooo long to arrive. We went to pizza express after which was packed and had to wait for a table and the drinks and food came so quickly??? Do not order any of the matcha drinks, they tasted horrible. Not sure why they decided to slap matcha on so many of their drinks but truly terrible especially after a long wait.

A very lovely place to spend the afternoon working on one's laptop, or to enjoy a few drinks with friends in the evening. It's a really nice spot, with a lovely atmosphere. Would happily let the hours drift past while chilling on the sofas.

The staff are lovely and accommodating but the food is awful. We didn't book but on arrival, the staff were happy to help and said we could wait for a table and have drinks while waiting. The wait took longer than expected but it meant we got to sit on the balcony outside which was lovely. We ordered food quickly and got more drinks. The food took ages to arrive (in fairness it was a busy lunchtime) but when it did, it tasted awful. the fish and chips was a piece of cod swimming on a watery soup like sauce. The chips come separately (I guess that's so they don't get soggy) it tasted awful so ended up eating the chips with ketchup. the pancakes were dry and crispy on the edges, had to cut the edges off so the kids could eat them. this was on the kids menu but came with a very tart sauce and strange crumble mix which they didn't like (not kid friendly) some of the group ate their food but others left quite a bit. we didn't see the paint in raising the issues because everything was taking so long, staff were very busy and we had plans for the afternoon so couldn't wait any longer. This is a lovely place for cocktails, the balcony is great on a sunny summers day and the coffee is nice but I would not recommend the food. takes too long and it's trying to be fancy but its just weird! The waiting staff are doing a great job so this is not aimed at them at all. It's a busy place but the menu needs an overhaul.

I had a coffee at cosy club on their lovely balcony. The atmosphere was buzzing and lots of people having brunch. The coffee was lovely. I was slightly confused though as I was told to order at the bar, but when my friend came she had table service.

Proper gutted with this visit, been here so many times over the years, and the food and ambience is always amazing. Whilst our server was great, one of our drinks took over ten minutes longer than the the rest of the party, the eggs were overcooked and soggy and the rostis were overdone and dry.

Thoroughly enjoyed my visit! The food and atmosphere were lovely, but most of all my server Hamid was incredibly attentive & made me feel really welcome.

Beautiful restaurant, absolutely lovely environment. Very friendly staff. I really enjoyed my breakfast but I feel like maybe I could have chosen something nicer, the coffee was okay, could have been a bit better, very small flat whites. But overall a great experience. I'd go back to try more!

Should've gone elsewhere I reckon. Waited 45 minutes for overcooked eggs beans and a mushroom and undercooked potato and sausage . Pancakes and syrup definitely lacks syrup . Not impressed at all , Update , Still the slowest place in Bath to get food. Entertainment comes from the staff tipping fries over a customer though 👍

I'm a fan of The Cosy Club and Lounges far and wide, I've never had a bad experience with service or food.... until today. I should preface this with the restaurant wasn't overly busy, it was a pretty wet and horrid day out. It took a good 20 minutes before drinks arrived to the table, and another 20 - 30 minutes before food was served. The entire time we where there we weren't checked in on once. Noone asked if we wanted anymore drinks, if our food was okay... nothing. Not even when they collected the plates did anyone of the suddenly three waiters / waitresses ask. And had they asked, the food wasn't great. A real disappointment, cold food, rubbery eggs that resembled play food. Solid bacon, microwaved beans, cold chips, cold burgers. it wasn't at all what I'd expect from a Cosy Club or Lounge. Sorry chums, but after today I won't be coming back.

Really liked the venue, really different. Very good service considering it was so busy with big groups. Were excellent with the food allergy on our table and nice touch with a drink for the birthday girl. Only thing i would say that it isn't cosy if that is what you are looking for but it is definitely worth a visit

As the name suggests, welcoming and cosy. The dishes were inventive and fun - smoked fish patties, masaman cauliflower, the fancy burger and more. Highly recommend the cocktails and deserts too. As usual dove in before anyone had the chance to take a picture.
