The kind of place I'd usually walk past, but I came here with friends today and was pleasantly surprised! Friendly and fast service, good food and nice coffee. Very respectable prices as well. Will be back!

Awesome cafe with a great fry up

Popped in for a quick coffee and the staff were so friendly and welcoming, really lovely vibe and the food I saw looked brilliant- good portions at a great price. Plus they give you a little biscuit with you coffee which is such a lovely touch. Definitely going to pop back again for brunch soon! (Free secure WiFi is an another big plus)

I had a "healthy breakfast", which is a toast made up of salmon, avocado, mushrooms, scrambled eggs and a tomato. The flavors weren't strong, in fact everything was slightly tasteless, the thing I really didn't like was the tomato, which was a bit lumpy, otherwise everything was fine. Pretty good food but the price quality is off, I spent around €15 and I think it could easily have been a dish worth €10

Down to earth and very nice - we just had coffee.

Just went in to order Avocado with bacon and eggs at £10 then asked if they’re poached eggs I was told No fried but it’s an extra £1 for poached! How does that work then.. healthy option breakfast should be poached or however you want it! An egg is an egg! The place was empty too so no wonder why. Needless to say I left and took my business elsewhere!

Only had a cuppa this visit but will probably have something to eat next visit. Had a lovely atmosphere nice covered heated area out the back, and the process are reasonable as well. Easy recommendation

Drove down from London just to have a breakfast, top tier but is a little expensive

Rather expensive and the omelette I ordered came up a bit cold. It was a very cold day though.

Great place for a fry up/good sized breakfast. Came in a bit hungover following a night out and my friends and I needed something to eat. I opted for the healthy breakfast, which is the most expensive of the breakfast selection, but came with salmon and avocado so understandable. Decent little meal, if only a bit too much toast for me. I also had a banana milkshake, which I really recommend, and they go down all too easily!

Extremely expensive. I paid £16.85 for a traditional breakfast, latte and a can of Coke zero. The coffee is nice. So was the food, until i discovered a hair on top of one of the eggs. I wont be returning

Not much to choose from..but decided on a chicken burger, it comes with chips and asked that I have no chips just the chicken burger and was told that they couldn't do it without chips so I left and they have now lost money because they would not serve a burger without chips, not very hard to give a burger less chips.

Large breakfast eggs perfectly cooked tasty meal and fair price for brighton, only downfall was just the one sausage apart from that recommended

Overall satisfying breakfast. Nothing special but nothing under par as well. Well priced and filling

Expensive for what it was, quite frankly. We Had a breakfast everything smaller than advertised. I would just go there if i was just having a tea and cake.

Been going to CC for years on and off. Excellent quality food and efficient and friendly staff. My favourite café in Brighton, if not anywhere.

Cosy cottage is a firm favourite with me and my partner who always stop by before we do our Aldi shop! Everyone here is absolutely wonderful and we love it 💜

Staff are great, the food is really good and at a sensible price. Ticks all the boxes for us as a family. Definitely will be back soon.

Good breakfast and lunch cafe for striaghforward meals. Quite busy and clearly lots of regulars chatting with the staff which is a good sign.

The service was incredible! These guys kept the restaurant open for us as we had a group of 13 children on a school trip. They were very accommodating and friendly, having a joke with us and creating a brilliant atmosphere. Everyone enjoyed the food, lots of options and portion sizes did not disappoint. Could not recommend enough, thank you Cosy Cottage!

Lovely little cafe on the London Road in Brighton. Polite and friendly staff, cooking a lovely breakfast. Prices are what they are I guess but seem a little pricey for a cafe on a Saturday morning, for a hearty breakfast. Vegetarian and vegan options are good, the food tastey and well cooked through. Nice and friendly locals talking and laughing like an old fashioned cafe.

Absolutely friendly people, very clean and looks really nice inside, tables outside as well, tea and latte great, sausage sandwich and egg mayo well worth the money and really fresh and tasty. Would recommend if your passing by.

Staff in cosy cottage is very nice and creates a family like atmosphere. Meal portions are quite big and presentable, and a choice of herbal teas is outstanding, definitely will be coming back!

They do lovely breakfast / brunch they open 9am-6pm but at the moment Google says they they open at 11!

Food and staff are great, felt like it's been forever since I've been able to go out for a full English, didn't even leave a single baked bean behind, good stuff. Milkshakes and frappes were fantastic, too.

This is by far our favourite place to eat when we go into London Road. Lovely ambience, clean and always excellent food served with a smile! You can even have a cheeky glass of wine! Would definitely recommend Cosy Cottage to anyone looking for a great pit-stop!

I have always enjoyed visiting this Cafe....the food is great and the staff are very friendly ~ the jacket potatoes are simply the best in Brighton ~ generous fillings and a nice salad garnish....Visit this Cafe ~ you won't be disappointed 👍👍👍

Love this place service is very good food is lovely

Its clean , its covid ready but the food quality has gone downhill. Ir wasnt busy so we took a chance on breakfast. I opted for a non dairy version and when I asked if my egg could be swapped for avocado I was told no even though it's on a salmon dish as a 'healthy option instead i got an extra hash brown. The result was a 10 pound rip off and I will not be recommending this cafe even though its local. Shame .

Had multiple items including panini's and breakfast items, all delicious and very well presented, a lovely cafe' too. Highly recommend.

I really good place for breakfast or lunch with really friendly staff and good prices

I walked in with my family around 11:00am ish and no one greeted us or told us what to expect or offered us a table! . We sat down at a table and 10 min later, someone brought the menus but didn’t say where or how we can order. I thought that they would and come and get my order but waited 15 min and no one came. Then I got up and went to counter to ask/order and found that it wasn’t table service. I think under the strange circumstances that we are in, first time customers should be told what to expect!

Always a great breakfast very enjoyable

Great menu and super friendly guys who run it, outdoor covered space for a quick cigarette if you smoke, typical cafe type menu but they also have vegan cheese and milk alternatives on request. Would recommend!

Popped in for breakfast by myself whilst working in Brighton. Eggs royale was well cooked, service friendly and cafe was very clean.

Officially my favourite cafe. Amazing food,lovely staff,made me feel very welcome and comfortable breastfeeding. Would definitely recommend especially for families. The food looked like it came from a 5* restaurant. Thankyou for such a friendly experience 👌

Popped in for panini and coffee with elderly parents. Would like to make a special mention to Sebastian who was very helpful to my mother.

Had the small breakfast this morning, the shop was immaculate and the staff was very friendly. The name of this place really does reflect the feeling you get once you're inside. Highly recommend!

Couldn't fault it. If you're looking for a proper fried breakfast, as my husband would put it "Without all that fancy muck" Then this is the place. Real home cooked food and big portions too. You should see the cakes! So if you visit Brighton and you're tired of all those fancy cafes, try Cosy Cottage Café Bar. You wont be disappointed

Runned by very helpful, friendly staff. Great range of hot and cold drinks. Caters for vegetarians and vegans. Prices are very reasonable. I ordered some lunch which was freshly made and generous portions. Wheelchair access but the toilets are down stairs I'm not sure if there's any access for disabled?? They have a closed in backyard which is cosy. Seating outside although it's right on the high street. Great place to stop while you're doing you're shopping. There is parking around the back in the multi story car park but the best way is to get the bus or walk.
