Cote Brasserie - Kensington in Kensington and Chelsea

We booked lunch ahead of the ballet at the Royal Albert Hall. We were offered a really awful table near the door which was cold due to the curtains being constantly opened and the heater not being switched on. Apparently this table was a better alternative to ones near lots of children. The food was passable at best, Côte standards have slipped since my last visit or it just might be this restaurant?? Anyway when I had to use the facilities I walked passed quite a few nicer tables than the one we sat at in our coats. POOR at best Will not be revisiting the brand anytime soon!

Beautiful, cozy place to have breakfast in London! Service was great and welcoming. Food was delicious.

We were here on December 22nd, without a reservation. Customers who had not made a reservation were put at the entrance. A small hallway that is screened off by two curtains. Every time customers came in, an enormous cold air came in. In the end, I and another customer put on our winter coats again. A surprise, but customary here, is that a 10% tip was already calculated on the receipt. I was satisfied with the food, but where we were sitting with the cold and the noise of making coffee, I did not think they deserved a tip. I did not sit comfortably or have a nice conversation with my wife.

Lovely French restaurant on form "Brasserie", a great place for breakfast, lunch and dinner, also in vegetarian form.... Open all week long... It will take your senses to yet undiscovered regions... The dishes seem simple and obvious, but their taste delights and pleasantly surprising.... Casual Brassie with Michelin stars food, fantastic choice of affordable wines.

After a 4-day stay in London, I recommend this restaurant, everything is very good and the service is friendly to you, as for the prices of the dishes, they are affordable, don't forget that you are in London. The dishes are excellent. Thanks to them.

Stopped here yesterday for a glass of wine and some frites in between some Christmas shopping. The frites arrived cold and when I sent them back overcooked chips were sent as a replacement. I didn’t eat them as they were rock hard, sadly the waitress had gone on her break and no one bothered to check on me to see whether they were okay so I had my wine and no snack! Seriously close the outside area if you cannot give paying customers the proper standard of service and reasonable quality food. The waitress was lovely but clearly cold so please give them some kind of fleece/jacket when attending tables outside. She did offer me a third portion of fries which I declined as my wine was finished and I just wanted to escape!

First visit to this Cotes, went to visit to see what it was like and how Adam was enjoying being there after moving from his previous Cotes. Warm welcome from the staff inc Adam, food was lovely and our waitress was very friendly and helpful. Great staff and atmosphere. Definately worth a visit if you are in the area.

We liked it so much we went twice during our trip to London. Very good food and service. Imaginative cocktails.

Worst food of my life I went with my work colleagues for a Christmas Dinner. I chose all the vegetarian options but my opinion of the food was no different than the ones who ordered steak and rest. The starters and mains were all too salty- like someone dumped a whole bag of salt in it. The desserts were too sweet. Despite spending about £45, I only ate fries and coke for dinner. Disgusting food, will never step here again. The staff was pleasant though. Just the food sucked.

Brócoli was yellow and over cooked. Burger meat was tough and dry like cooked from frozen and over cooked.

We visited Côte Kensington before a concert at The Albert Hall which is only a 10-15 minute walk away. We were greeted immediately on arrival and after a short wait were shown to our table. We explained that we were a bit tight for time and our waiter worked wonders to ensure we were wined and dined quickly and efficiently! Turning to the food, we had noticed that at other Côte restaurants that we had visited, the food quality seemed to be slipping. However the food at Côte Kensington was back to the old standards, cooked beautifully and well presented! The manager and staff were all delightful. We will definitely return.

The waiting staff were amazing, my dessert was hard and not edible, so I got a new dessert on the house, the manager and staff where great and the food was also .

We were a party of 10 and needed to have been served within 90 minutes of arrival to attend a show at the Royal Albert Hall. Thanks to the amazing service by Robi, the restaurant managed to have served our drinks and two courses in plenty of time, without feeling rushed. An exceptional evening with high levels of attentiveness and professional service. All of our party agreed that the quality of the food and drinks was extremely high.

I Had dinner at this restaurant on 21st of Nov. Location is beautiful The food was delicious, especially the steak frites calamari were awesome. MANISHA was so attentive and friendly Big thanks giving to her. If you looking for variety and taste I Would highly recommend this restaurant for you.

The best cream caramel you will ever taste

Manisha was fantastic. She recommended unique cheeses we hadn’t tried, each one a perfect choice. Her knowledge and enthusiasm made our meal unforgettable. Food was very good too!

Dined alone, got my starter and drink order take . After finishing the two, 30 minutes pass. I go up to the from to order my meal and my second drink. I finish my meal. 30 more minutes pass. I go up to the front and ask if I can pay my bill so I can leave. I’m not sure what the issue was. Solo diner? American? I watched people get dessert, finish, and get their bill before I was asked if I wanted another drink. The food was wonderful, the service was lacking 100%. If you want good food I recommend this place. If you want good service, this place offers it. But do not expect both.

We walked in because the atmosphere was cute, but left very disappointed. After being seated, we waited almost 30 minutes for the server to return to take our drink order and only returned with water, but not our drinks. The beautiful ambience was not worth the visit. The drinks were fine, but the burger was easily the worst we’ve had. To be completely fair we are American, but neither of us are very picky but still were not able to finish it. It was only two of us waiting very quietly, but the server seemed irritated that he had to speak with us. This restaurant is in a beautiful area so I would recommend going elsewhere.

Great sitting outside to have breakfast. They have blankets for you for cold days. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and it was excellent along with the coffee. I recommend it.

We both had options from the set menu 2 courses. The starters were fine but we both opted for the mackerel as main. We should have sent it back as it was quite strong smelling. However we trusted the kitchen and didn't. Low and behold within a couple of hours we were unwell! And the mackerel was the only thing we'd both had! (Scombroid fish poisoning, an allergic-type reaction that occurs when eating fish contaminated with high levels of histamine) Not the most pleasant experience...so be warned. We did let the restaurant know by phone not to continue to serve it. Sadly this not the experience we were hoping for to end a lovely day out in London.

Unfriendly and inattentive service. Ordered two steaks medium rare - got one very rare and one well-done. Definitely overrated and overpriced for what it is and what it is rated here.

Fish was stale, they didn’t refund, gave a random discount card. Be careful about dining here.

Nice place to go for drinks or breakfast ( I don’t know about lunch and dinner) ate the English breakfast which was nice and there was a meal that came with it where you could choose any hot breakfast with any juice and hot drink for 15 quid I think it was.

Cote is our go to restaurant and this one is of the usual high standard. Great food and service at a reasonable price. Make sure you don't go into the restaurant next door, which we did and is easy to do.

We found this place on Google maps, and we’re looking forward to going here, did not disappoint. It was so good, we’re even going to come back tomorrow.

I really miss Cote Brasserie in Glasgow so we were super happy to find this one in Kensington. Popped in for lunch and it was excellent. Just a really nice vibe and great food. We shared whitebait to start... super light and tasty. Then salad nicoise and caeser with french fries. A little glass of red wine! Lovely staff too. Thanks

Set menu offers good value. The waiter (Robi) took the time to speak with me, recommending a wine to enjoy with my meal (great choice!). Service was efficient and friendly.

The mushroom bourguignon is amazing, it is perfectly flavoured and the texture is excellent, it couldn’t be any better. The service was good (although slower than expected, as it was not busy the day I went), but the cocktails and starter (I’ve had the crab maison) were average. Overall, an excellent experience, and I will definitely come back at some point.

The experience was almost perfect. The food selection was fantastic and we all found something suitable and quite enjoyed the meals. Desserts were also very satisfying. The servers were too notch and helped make the experience a great one. The only challenge I faced as a solid man was that the chair I was seated in was more like a bear hug around me than a comfy seat. If you are 200+ pounds I would ask to be seated in a more spacious seat. Would not let that deter anyone from going. This place truly was worth the visit.

Ordered a green salad with avocado with the pan fried salmon. Thought salmon could have been seasoned better. Took about 30 minutes to get order placed. The place may have needed more help. The waiters and waitress were sweet. Great location! Right across from the Royal Kensington Palace. Hubby ate there as well. He had the same meal and he wasn’t impressed. Spent a little over 30 euros for one salad and one salmon meal.

Great service, good wine. I loved my beef bourguignon. But the filet mignon of my spouse was a disappointment. First, it was overcooked - we asked for medium rare and received medium. Puzzlingly, they came up and asked if it was undercooked, if we wanted it back on the grill. It was also quite tough. It would have been tough even if not overcooked.

A delightful French restaurant in the middle of London! Excellent food and a very attentive staff. The decor of the restaurant is just lovely. It was a fantastic experience, one every visitor to Kensington should enjoy!

4 people ate for £110 service included. That day it was full and it took them a while to serve us, but then everything arrived on time and on point. The food was very good, and the attention was impeccable. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

The food and atmosphere were amazing! Krish was our server and he was attentive and very nice! Actually everyone there greeted us. My friend was gluten free and they had a great menu! We had starters, main course and dessert! You can’t go wrong! Will definitely be back again!

I honestly couldn’t rate my experience here more highly. It was my dad’s 78th birthday dinner before we went to the Proms at the Royal Albert Hall. We were given free fizz on arrival for myself and my sister and dad. We had a great table. The food was delicious- the staff were just so friendly and attentive- the manager was so nice - our waiter was so friendly- the lady in charge of the section was so lovely. We had a candle and a happy birthday song from all the staff and diners. It was honestly one of the best experiences I have had in any restaurant for a while - particularly in a chain - restaurant - I have worked in restaurants as a manager in London for the last 25 years Thank you so much for a wonderful experience

A very humble and ordinary place for me 🤷🏻‍♀️ We ordered coffee and it was regular and caramel cream. To be honest, it tastes good, but the level of cleanliness is low.

My French onion soup was unctuous, with a perfect amount of cheese. The tomatoes on the salad had a nice sweetness that was set off with a tangy vinaigrette. We both had steak frites, seared to perfection, nice and pink in the middle. Fries were thin-sliced and piping hot. It was a lovely first meal in London.

Post-prom lunch on busy Sunday. Arrived earlier than our booking but efficient manager found a table close to front entrance, ideal for two who wanted to have a conversation.(The tardis-like interior is large, dark, warm & full of families I found out on trip to basement loo.) I had a salad, followed by pan-fried trout; companion had a crab maison starter followed by a Breton seafood stew. All enjoyable, if unremarkable., washed down with sparkling water & 500 ml muscadet. Total bill including service, £84:00 -not unreasonable for central London.Service, in general was slow, though maitresse d' herself was extremely competent; to pick up the idea of a Prom; a fine conductor coping with some dissonant players.

The service is very!!! slow: we waited over an hour for our order to be brought to us. The room was cold from the air conditioning. The waiter refused to make it warmer because the guests who arrived before us said that they were too hot. Not surprising, since they drank a lot. Nobody come here unless you want to waste an hour and a half to two hours

I have visited Cote previously but it was my first time at Cote Kensington. The staff was very warm and welcoming, loved the food as always. One of my favourite places to eat- worth the money!!

Had a great meal at Côte Kensington. Our server, Prakriti, was great and quite helpful with recommendations. Charming setting and an attractive menu with lots of variety and price points. I also enjoyed the Pillars Pilsner. I got the sirloin, my wife the trout (from summer menu) - both were great, based on our fully cleaned plates. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit, the caliber/attentiveness of staff and menu - and prices seem quite reasonable too!

Service was lacking. It was slow and when they cane around, the fast food industry was better at customer service. Our ribeye steak was very chewy, the knife could barely cut it. Other food was ok. Won’t be coming back.

Classic meal, nothing out of the ordinary... On the other hand, very very slow service (we went there on a Saturday lunchtime), we stayed a total of 2 hours just to eat a main course and a dessert even though we were in a hurry because we had to visit monuments.

If you are visiting with a group, ask for Jay to serve you - he is super kind, patient and helpful! we were a group of 34 people and our overall experience was great, we will be back! Thank you Jay

We had a great experience at Cote, the staff was attentive, food was great and good value for money. It was my birthday and the staff gave us glasses of Prosecco to celebrate! It was such a special touch!
