Good pie terrible service. I said hello and was ignored (the shop was empty) the assistants chatted together and ignored me. Manners cost nothing, I will not shop there again.

Best pork pies ever,come down from Aberdeen to visit family in Middlesbrough and cannot miss this butcher. My father had his own butcher business, I helped out at weekend. Know the industry,and this shop is excellent. Pies are better than the guys down at Melton Mowbray

Fantastic pies all freshly made chock full of filling whichever you choose ,and there is a lovely selection from this local butcher.

The best pork pies - ever. This is an outstanding butcher and the highlight is their pork pies. They are packed with top quality meat and, if you warm them, there is very little fat running off. Quite extraordinarily good and so far from supermarket mass produced stuff that you query if they are the same thing. Eat one and die happy, you will have eaten the best!

The choice is great at Petch's but my money is on the chicken & mushroom - it's divine! Lovely lady on the counter also gave me bones to make my own stock for free! Don't know why this is listed by TripAdvisor as a restaurant- it isn't - though they'd make a bomb if they opened one - and don't know why it's listed as the High Street in Middlesbrough - because it isn't there, it's in Great Ayton and as far as I know, Middlesbrough doesn't have a High Street!

Pork & apple pies are to die for, same with the fruit scones, they are so light and tasty. The only problem I had was the staff were to busy talking amongst themselves, felt a bit uncomfortable asking for what I wanted. On saying that, fresh baked produce are great....

We called to get pork pies on sat 28/12 at 10.30 the pie was stone cold and it’s contents had become almost inedible, tried a corn beef slice and it too stone cold with very overdone pastry, shame because I’d really high expectations of this place.

Purchased a joint of beef - tough as old boots! Pork pie & black pudding was good. Service was a bit surly. Obviously hit & miss.

This place is always busy , which tells you all you need to know. The freshly cooked pies are divine , you will never taste better. There is also some quality local meat to be had , the beef rib joint we got was gorgeous. Try this place once and you will be hooked.

Having recently moved to the area I’ve been looking for a quality butchers and This ticks all the boxes. The pies sausage rolls and pasties are simply put The Best . I’ve also tried the bacon and sausages and was very impressed. When you try this produce you will see and taste the difference immediately from that which you get in supermarkets there simply no comparison. This is a great butchers who retain old fashioned traditions and values. This is where I’ll be getting my meat from in future well worth the drive.

Great butchers in great Ayton. Been coming here since I was a child as did my mother before me. The pork pies really are the best in the world! That aside they do other nice pies and the usual butchers meat selection. Plus the service is friendly. Recommend

The window gives a view of the pies on offer, but the aromas from the door torment the nostrils. My father introduced me to the delights of the Pies and I, in turn, introduced them to my family. I have never tasted better.

We had Petch’s butchers cater for our party recently. They provided pies, peas, gravy, sauces, cartons, cutlery; they served up the food, collected the rubbish, and even left extra rubbish bags for anything else that was left. Brilliant service, brilliant pies of course! and excellent value for money. Will definitely have them again. Thank you.

Very clean premises all homemade,farm sausage to be recommended. Quiches were hot when we bought them and proved to be very tasty. Highly recommended retailer very friendly staff

An excellent, well-established, family run butchers with a large selection of pies and pastries as well as a good choice of fresh meats. The award-winning pies, etc. are freshly made daily and in huge demand by tourist visitors to the area as well as the local clientele.

Petchs pies are the best pork and apple is my favourite but steak, chicken and the quiche are excellent. The meat is always top notch would definitely recommend

People come from miles around to buy pies from this shop and when you taste them you can see why. They do various varieties of pies as well as being a butchers shop also

When passing through Great Ayton, we made sure we stopped here and bought some pies to take home. All of them were absolutely delicious, fabulous pastry too. We will certainly detour through Great Ayton again to stock up.

Whenever we come to Guisborough, we always make certain that we go to Petch's for their pork pies. I have never had one as good as theirs.

You can't beat a warm pork pie from here. Eat immediately then buy another!! Great staff. This is a a part of Great Ayton's heritage.

We visited recently and decided to get a couple of pies. We got a large Chicken and Mushroom pie and a large Pork pie - At £2.70 and £2.80 we thought this was good value. We really enjoyed the chicken and mushroom one but we didn't enjoy the pork much as it was abit dry. We will visit again.

Petch's butchers have been a part of the local scene as long as I can remember. The freshly baked pies are superb. These are not supermarket prices but the little extra is worth every penny for the quality of the merchandise and the excellent service.

Having visited on many times with my dad when I was young and then subsequently moving 250 miles away 30 years ago I had not experienced the taste of petch pies for a long time. Upon coming back for a visit we decided to try to see if the pies were still as good as my younger tastebuds experienced. Oh my what a wonder. We bought pork and apple pies, large minced beef pie and two enormous cheese scones. My mouth waters even thinking about the great pastry and generous fillings. Will be making sure we visit again before we leave to savour the magnificent flavours in Swindon. This will be a regular stop from now on.

Has a wide variety of pies and quiches available. Mince or steak are very nice and full of meat not just gravy. Ham and egg quiche is also delicious. Would highly recommend if you are in the area.

My family and i all had a pie of some sort, my brother inlaw had the pork pie and said it was the best he had ever tasted and he has had a lot over the years.

Very efficient staff who can add up without the use of a calculator. Good selection of pies which are all delicious and very reasonably priced. We got stocked up while in the area with a variety of pies to freeze.

Conseguir las tartas regularmente carne desde aquí. Cuando yo estaba en la última vez, un cliente era conseguir queso y cebolla picada y me dijo que era delicioso. Ella estaba en lo cierto. Luz y suaves con generosos para repetir de cebolla. No puedo creer que estoy entusiasmado sobre una tarta. Pero es uno de los mejores que he comido. Voy a conseguir un par de estas junto a mi regular carne. tartas Bien hecho por mantener los estándares así como no conseguir codicioso con precios a diferencia de algunas carnicerías.

Llamado a la carnicerías en una reciente visita a Guisborough. Habíamos comprado tartas de aquí antes, pero no recordaba el nombre. Afortunadamente pudimos visitar de nuevo y compramos Carne de pollo tartas y pasteles. También compramos algunos para amigos. Tuvimos la torta de carne esta noche. Muy agradable y magro de carne. No compra una quiche. Este no estaba tan bien como la vez anterior que teníamos una, pero aún así estaba bien. Volver a llamar cuando estemos en la zona.

Got me usual pork pie and as normal very nice, worth a visit to great ayton just to sample the delights of this famous butcher, nice friendly staff.....If one thing it's getting expensive when you order a few different delectables.

Si estás buscando trozos de sabroso, no busques más. Nos entretener grupos durante nuestra estancia en la zona de navidad y comprar varios tipos de conocer de esta fábrica. Los filetes de solomillo eran para morirse (en ambas ocasiones) y disfrutado por nuestros huéspedes. El mixto de cerdo (para alimentar a 16) era suculento. Sin olvidar LO QUE ESTA TIENDA es famosa por sus tartas, POR SUPUESTO Yummie!

The pork pies are the best in town and to be honest so are most of the other stuff they sell, good range of other meats like rabbit etc, always a queue but well worth the few minutes wait, I bet many other places would like queues like they have had for years and years, staff sometimes a bit miserable but wot the hell, my favourite are the pork pies and the corn beef slices.
