Da Nonna in Tower Hamlets

Conoscendo il proprietario della gestione precedente sono ritornato "DA NONNA" ma, con mio dispiacere ho notato che nonostante sulla carta erano riportate "tagliatelle con funghi porcini" sono state servite con funghi champignon", le Bruschette con mozzarella di bufala e prosciutto patanegra erano con mozzarella normale e prosciutto di parma. Tutto ciò significa che il valore dei prodotti riportati sulla carta era di gran lunga superiore ai prodotti serviti. Il cameriere merita il massimo delle stelle per come si é comportato.

Have eaten at Da Nonna a few times and have never left disappointed! Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Another great meal tonight - so much so we ordered a second round of dishes! Would definitely recommend!

I don’t see what everyone is raving about with this restaurant. The food was edible, but certainly not authentic Italian. I have visited Italy regularly over the last 20 odd years and never had anything as plain and tasteless as this. The parmigiana was okay, but we make it much better at home and the lasagne we hoped would be hot, tasty and rich was lukewarm, bland and stodgy with no sauce. It tasted like it had come straight from a microwave not one of Grandma’s timeless recipes. It was also very expensive for what we got. The only redeeming feature was that the staff were attentive and pleasant. Won’t be coming back!

A small casual-dining location, serving both as a cafe and a restaurant. The dishes are made with top-notch ingredients, and products like the limoncello are well-sourced. Really feels like a nonna’s recipes have been handed down - just watch out that your eyes aren’t bigger than your stomach on the filling cicchetti!

Great local Italian — small, with a very busy chef on view — but impeccable food and lovely easygoing atmosphere. I was only visiting, but I wish I lived nearby to such a great and welcoming restaurant.
