Dar Marrakesh in City of London, Westminster

Our work Xmas meal. 25 people. Festive menu. Dont book festive menu! You will go hungry! Sadly we didn't realise this meant sharing ALL courses! This wouldn't be so bad if there was enough food. There wasn't. We had a mix (though some of us only saw 2 types of humus and one French beans) starters only 3 times which meant three tiny bowls had to be shared between c8 people at a time! The mains was worse..3 small tagines of salmon (hardly any fresh salmon in the small tagine) on top of rice, another of chicken, and meat where i experienced a minced meat kofta that was so tough I gave up after two bites. Each tagine was set on bed of rice meaning less meat/chicken/fish/veg to 'share'! Only tiny bowls of more rice accompanied this! We all had hardly any food on our plates and were nit given spoons to serve it but! Has to ask by which time we used our fork to get tiny amounts of food as you can imagine. noone wants to complain when the company are paying and i feel restaurants know this. Worst part of all this con is that I worked out the festive menu at £29 is saving each person only c£3-4! Go look and work out for yourself. Average starter is £6-7 main is £20 max, pudding £6-7 = 32-£33 . The difference is that we would all have got our OWN starter and our OWN main course! Huge difference! HUGE! The dessert was the biggest con. At £29 for 3 courses and seeing the normal dessert for baklava was c£6..they brought us one 'cube of baklava on a toothpick each😵. Yes! 8 one inch cubes on sticks per 8 people! Absolute con. Would not return if you paid me to. We left hungry and conned.👎👎😡

Went in with friends and family. A great spot to taste Arabic food, culture and music. Nice atmosphere and most of all happy and smiling staff.

Ordered lamb tacos with my friend. Personally, I couldn’t eat it as it was vile. When I complained about my meal all they could do was “apologise”. I paid full price for my meal which I didn’t even eat. Took them a year and a half to get our bill and charged us £10 service charge which was not written on the receipt. I don’t mind paying service charge but I did not want to pay it when we did not get any helpful service. Travelled from far just to be disappointed. Should’ve just went to Taco Bell down the road.

The food was great! There was a little misunderstanding in de dish is chose, but this was sorted straight away! They were very kind and respectful. The restaurant seemed to work with two different restaurants in one space what made it very chaotic, but it was Saturday so it is more busy. As i do reviews of restaurants on a daily basis i can tell that the quality of food fits the moroccan cuisine, only the organisation can be worked on and this would make it EVEN BETTER! Went for an afternoon catch up with a friend. Great service staff were really friendly didn’t bother us but at the same time were very attentive refilled coal on shisha without having to ask. Service was fast drink was great complimentary baklava which was nice overall nice afternoon out will go again.

I am a big fan of Moroccan food and I have never been so disappointed with Moroccan cuisine in my life. I want to make it very clear that the tagine we ordered was completely inedible and we made this clear when the waiter came to clear our plates and he saw we hardly ate anything. He asked us was everything okay and I said clearly not as you can see we have not eaten our main course which was part of a £20 fix menu for Ramadan. He passed my feedback on to the manager and came back and said that’s how it tastes. Because it’s Ramadan I did not say anything and decided to pay the bill and leave. They have overcharged us also as the tea was meant to be included in the £20 set menu. The waiter was serving pineapple juice from a container that said £1 on it and they were charging extortionate pricing for pineapple juice. One of the waiters was seen licking his fingers whilst opening his fasting. I will not be returning to this place unhygienic and tasty food and huge disappointment.

I Have Being To Dar Marrakesh As A Family Group IT was Brilliant Expert From What I Saw There And The Service Was Amazing And The Moroccan Dishes Where Very Tasty . Many Thanks For All The Stuff There

Moroccan cuisine is one of the best in the world, but this so-called Moroccan Chef managed to make it uneatable. Couscous was left macerating in the broth so it became a muddy paste. The chicken was tasteless and the lamb totally dry.

The food is great, a wonderful harmony of flavors. The atmosphere is pleasant and warm. We enjoyed the food and the wonderful dancer during dinner. Only negative point was the service: unprofessional and knowledgeable. We were greeted by a guy who didn't know what table to give us even though we had reserved the table the day before, he gave us a very small table and we were three. He moved us three times. The waitress who took our order was very unprepared about the dishes, she didn't have the answer to any of our questions. The waiter should know the ingredients of the dishes, give advice! But still a pleasant evening.

Lovely atmosphere with nice music and a great place to try shisha! Seems like a very authentic to be!

I came here after hearing that the shisha is decent here, however absolutely crap service. They do not even have plugs near the tables to charge your phone or laptop if you are working as well as enjoying your shisha. The woman advised me that there is a plug available which was attached to the ceiling and to be honest no phone or laptop cable is that long. This was the second time I came and left. The first time was a month or so ago when I called them to ask if they would be showing a big football match, the manager told me they will so I came down. When I reached the manager said they dont have the channel. I was absolutely disgusted. Never again.

That place is a heaven in Stratford ! The staff is excellent beyond expectations! Mr Tayeb the manager is a fabulous person and very humble!
