Went there tonight 24th of January 12 people plus high chair the place was busy.The food was delightful and service really good I will be regular from now I would highly recommend 👌

Just had Sunday dinner here, Veg were to hard & cold, Roast potatoes were not roasted enough very pale, meat was tasteless, rare beef & belly pork, no stuffing with pork

Went for a family meal as they had a good and varied menu, the food was really nice and great value for money. Attentive service from the male employee and the younger female on shift at the time of visit. In a good central location for lots of nearby towns and well worth the trip.

4 adults dinned . Starters was nice, waitress was very polite. 1 x pasta dish was flavoursome, 1 x pizza topping was hit and miss not spread across some areas with nothing on , 1 x sirloin stead not the best steak ever but ok , and as for the seafood risotto absolutely terrible. I did mention to the waitress she was very apologetic....certainly not her fault at all. Lovely venue just a bit hit and miss on the food.

First time visit, wonderful food, friendly staff, warm clean surroundings. Will definitely visit again. Best in the area .

We were a party of 14 for a 60th birthday all the food from starters to dessert were amazing and reasonably priced. The service was a little bit slow but didn't feel fushed and the atmosphere was relaxing. We only had a slight hiccups they missed one meal but wasn't a great issue and didn't have to wait to long for it, it was also knocked off the bill.😁😁

Had the pleasure of attending a wedding reception here, a lovely venue which catered for the wedding guests exceptionally well. Lots of little touches, fabulous food and friendly service.

Our first trip here and it was really good. The food is a reasonable price to start. We had a mixed platter to start which was good value. For mains we both had different pasta dishes and they were very tasty. Very good value for money, the service was good and staff were lovely. Very nice inside also. Only thing missinf was a little bit of music for atmosphere, it was too quiet at times. Would definitely go back here, lovely Italian food.

Great place to stop and have a delicious meal. Ample outdoor seating, nicely decorated inside and out. Service was prompt and pleasant from all staff. The food was tasty and a good selection to choose from. Would highly recommended the beef ragu and the restaurant as a whole. Free parking on site a d situated just off the main road. Would go again. 🥰🥰

We had a Superb dining experience last night at Darios Ristorante for my Birthday. We all chose different dishes as you can see from the photos attached. Each dish showing attention to detail with the rich flavours and the beautiful presentation on the plate. Also the service was excellent, with polite and professional staff who were attentive throughout the meal. I was also given a "Happy Birthday" dessert which was a wonderful surprise! I had pre booked the meal through Darios website which was easy to do and I could include the request of a high chair, which was already seated at the table when we arrived. The children's menu provided had a great selection of healthy and authentic Italian food, not just the usual offer of "chicken nuggets and chips" that you find at almost all resteraunts these days. I would highly recommend Darios Ristorante if you are looking for an evening meal with the WOW factor, especially for a special occasion or family gathering.

It's a good casual local restaurant. Food is of a basic good solid standard, staff are pleasant, but could do with being a little more attentive in my opinion, there were 3 of us, we ordered a bottle of wine and we were brought table water, my husband ordered a beer, however had to go to the bar and remind the staff that he was still waiting for the beer, the restaurant was not overly busy at the time. The place was clean, but there is a very wobbly table in the area we were asked to wait, we have seen people lose their drinks from that table in past! Overall, we would go back.

Had a nice meal it wasn't too busy quiet so can't really say their was a atmosphere up still enjoyed the meal.

No Sunday dinner but the Italian menu was delightful. I was particularly impressed with the service from the staff and the quality of food. Big portions so go easy! Wine selection not great and tables a little wobbly but the great service made up for it. Keep it up, it’s what makes me happy :)

The food is excellent here. The service is brilliant and the staff are great. A friendly atmosphere . It's very popular even during the week it's busy so best to book before you go. We spent about £35 a head which included a main, dessert and 2 glasses of wine. Well worth a visit.

Had the best Sunday lunch ever at Dario’s. The chicken was beautifully cooked & succulent. The vegetables well presented & a ‘home made’ Yorkshire pudding. Served by a very attentive & pleasant waitress. This team & the chef deserve to do well. I hope the people in Doncaster, Askern, Skellow & Carcroft & Woodlands appreciate this quality food. Food was lovely and everyone enjoyed their meals but there are things that need looking at as service was lacking. It was quiet when we arrived. It picked up shortly before we left so there is not much to say on the atmosphere. Staff were nice but lacked attentiveness as when we were brought out our food items we were missing such as small plates for our sharing board and a steak knife for one of the mains ordered. Also no where was stated on the menu we would be charged for mixers with spirit drinks. I had two rum and cokes and I didn’t know till after getting home I was charged £3 (£1.50 each) for the mixer with my rum. It would have been cheaper for me to get the rums on their own and get a half pint glass of coke for £2.50 as my rum and coke was in a smaller glass than a half pint. It is wrong that there is no mention of being charged for the mixer or not being included in the prices already. This needs to be adjusted or staff must be trained to state the additional charges to customers.

I can't believe how this place has improved from my visit last year which was awful. I don't know if they have a new chef but after a friend said recently how nice it was we decided to give it another try and were really glad we did. The food was delicious, the staff were friendly and efficient. We will definitely be returning.

We are a frequent visitor but today we tried new dishes which were incredible once again. I had their signature lasagne with brisket ragu and I have to say best lasagne I have ever tasted. The brisket makes it coupled with the malbec red wine compliments it entirely. My partner had the seafood risotto expertly cooked and a joy once more. They have upgraded the wine selection and new leather menus really show the class to complement the class of the food. The prices are still very very good value for money. Must visit

We called in without a booking late on Sunday afternoon, the staff were very welcoming and showed us to a table. Sadly due to our timing the kitchen had ran out of some things due to having a busy lunch service, but still plenty to select from. We had a delicious 3 course meal which we couldn’t fault. Great find as we travelled past in our Motorhome… parking was very easy too! Thanks team Dario’s!

We stopped for lunch at Dario's, as we've driven past it so many times. Had the chicken sandwich and the meatball sandwich. Amazing! The place has a nice atmosphere, cosy without being claustrophobic, and Ebony was lovely to chat with. I forgot the name of our server, but she was amazing! (We also ordered from the via Ubereats this week, and the calzones are to die for!)

I didn't stay as picking up only. Service a bit slow though so might have been busy or short staffed.

Had a wonderful afternoon here with a friend for my birthday. It was around lunchtime when we booked to go, and we were welcomed warmly by the staff and were given a choice of where we would like to sit. We ordered mains and desserts with cocktails and a bottle of prosecco. We were also given a cocktail to try by the bar staff as they were looking to trial it on the menu. My friend ordered the carbonara, which she described as one of the best she has ever eaten, and my chicken alfredo was equally excellent. For dessert, we both ordered the lemon tart, and mine was decorated with Happy Birthday, which the staff had overheard and I thought was a lovely touch. We felt really pampered by the staff team and it was a real treat to visit. I will definitely be back.

Vegetarian given meat! Been here a couple of times now the time before last was amazing, this time was abysmal. Last time Great, attentive service. Very much appreciate how much effort was put in from the moment we sat to the moment we left. I used to run a pub and I’d be extremely proud if it were my staff. We actually used it as the bar that we judged other places on. However that won’t be the case anymore. We arrived yesterday and was asked to wait while they flip a table (not a huge issue). Seated 20 minutes later. Went to get a drink and the bar was poorly stocked and didn’t have some drinks that I would call standard for any pub. We had to ask a waitress to place an order and this continued for drinks, until the back end of the ‘meal’ when it had gotten a lot quieter. After placing out order we were asked twice more by different waitresses if we wanted to order.. probably because our menus never got taken and we had to put them on a book case to the side of us. Food took just over hour to arrive, mozzarella pearls weren’t cooked at all, almost cold. But garlic bread was nice. We had to ask if our mains were coming as it took so long after. The mains came and my partner is a vegetarian so, had of course ordered a vegetarian pizza. When it came it was covered in ham. We asked about it and it transpired they gave us the wrong plate AND the pizza we we actually ordered hadn’t even been made, so I had to sit with my meal until my partners were made and cooked. (Normally you would take all meals back and keep them warm or at least offer). My partners pizza came and the waitress was extremely apoplectic and did try to smooth things out but unfortunately the damage had been done. My food was half the size of the neighbouring table (seeing there’s the reason for my order in the first instance) and completely flavourless, we’d of been better at Wetherspoons. I will add I don’t believe it was the fault of the server's and if anything they were the saving grace that stopped us leaving after the starter. Whilst serving was slow they themselves were absolutely not and they were flat out. Even a new starter held themselves well and they all appearingly did a great job. I think what would help is if each server was assigned a group of covers rather than them having to repeatedly go to different tables not knowing what stage of the meal someone is at or when they last had drinks. Again servers seemed to have to make the best of a bad situation and they definitely saved us from leaving. Also the restaurant did try to put it right which we appreciate but if this was our first visit we definitely wouldn’t come back

Fabulous! Lovely food, lovely staff and a delightful environment. We visited to enjoy the half price offer, which was amazing - £20 in total for 2 mains and 2 desserts! Having said that, I would be more than happy to return and pay full price because it’s most certainly worth it. In fact, the menu looks so good that I intend to go back (it’s 24 miles from home) to try a few more dishes.

Good food and service, we enjoyed our visit. There were 4 of us and we were all very happy with our food. Chicken, beef and sea food dishes all tasty.

Absolute pleasure to eat in here the girls serving couldn't be more helpful if they tried! Me and the missus 3 courses each x2 capuchinos and a lemonade came to just under 80 quid which id say is good value,definitely visit again ,the steak was mouthwatering and the blue cheese sauce amazing!

The food here is the restaurants saving grace. The service however wasn’t great at all. Waited a good while for the starter. Staff seemed rushed off their feet. Not attentive. Mains came rushed out straight after finishing the starter. The plates hadn’t even been taken away at this point. No service for additional drinks. Restaurant quality food with Wetherspoons style service.

Had garlic mushrooms for our starter with a slice of bread that probably should have stopped being served the day before. The mushrooms had been cooked in the microwave resulting in a scolding and poor quality taste. Had high hopes for the mains, a steak with a full packet or rocket, frozen chips and peppercorn "sauce" that a builder would have had a better time using as concrete. The steak quality was so poor and underwhelming. We also had the lamb with them lovely frozen chips and a blue cheese that tasted like custard. The lamb was tasteless and barely salvageable with the "custard". Overall a really poor quality meal.

This is the third time we have been to Darios for dinner, excellent as per usual, only problem that I never received my starter but they gave me a free drink instead. Definitely would recommend 👌

Second visit and food was much, much better this time around. Less mass catering feel and more like there are actual chefs in the kitchen. Service was great up to a point, then all the staff just disappeared leaving us for a full half hour before we had to go search for them. A disappointing end to a good night. Prices mid range but worth it now the food is on point.

How a italian can cook a calzone with half of it dry to the bone and half not is a mystery. No seasoning on the pasta. Only three tables taken in the restaurant so service seemed to be pretty quick. That was until we asked for the dessert menu, it didn't appear within 10 minutes of asking dispite staff wandering around so we left, would have loved to try the desserts.

First time here but won't be my last. We had a picky eater in our group but the waitress dealt with it with a smile and cheerfully got us exactly what we wanted. We will be back very soon.

Food was dry . But lovely place

Lovely food too large a portion for us pensioners feel guilty sometimes having to leave so much. Lots of places now do the smaller portions like the sunday roasts and carveries perhaps thats the way forward for less waste. Highly recommended. G&N

After reading mixed reviews we decided to see what we thought for ourselves. OMG we are so glad we did. The food was delisiouse and the service was perfect, we were left to chill and chat with our friends while deciding what we would like from the great menu selection, this was without being pestered or rushed (i am so bad at choosing what to have) We was not pressured in to hurrying in any way although a member of staff was around for anything we may have needed. The staff were so lovely and welcoming and advised us on anything we wanted to know regarding dishes on the menu. The atmosphere of the place is warm and cosy with a lovely chilled vibe. The food and drinks are really reasonably priced working our at approx £180 for a party of 5 including 2 bottles of Pinot and 5 pints a starter and main each and a large garlic bread. This is now out favourite Italian and much closer to home than the one we usually visit in Bawtry. We are so glad we gave it a go and have already booked again. There are so many dishes we would like to try from the menu and cannot wait to return.

Amazing food for a table of 5 and really good value too. Starters and mains all round, 2 bottles of wine, beers and soft drinks and it all came in less than £38 per head. Welcoming and friendly waiting staff, delicious food. We will definitely be back!

Lovely restaurant with so much potential. Very relaxed atmosphere, but it was very cold were we were seated. Limited menu and the dessert options were poor. The food (we had pizza) was average. However some of the other dishes served to other tables looked and smelled lovely, I regretted my choice. It was very good value for money. Service although very friendly was slower than would like, we visited mid week and it was surprisingly busy with limited staff so they were rushed. Will visit again to sample the other dishes.

First time coming tonight and was impressed, beautiful setting, just the right level of background music, and the food wow wasn't expecting the portion size, or the quality after starter and mains we couldn't finish it so brought it home, don't want to waste good food, we will definitely be back again, only thing I could fault was staff didn't come to check if everything was ok

We visited here 28 April after much anticipation for the grand opening. It did not disappoint! We had olives, sourdough and garlic bread (all 3 antipasti) to share between 4 adults. Olives, olive oil and balsamic and garlic bread all went down a treat, breads were pillow soft and sourdough was exceptional. Mains: i had Dario’s Calzone (what a monster, it was beaut!), the ladies had RISOTTO CON TARTUFO E FUNGHI and RISOTTO CON GAMBERONI E CALAMARI PICCANTI, my dad had POLLO AL ROSMARINO. We all shared each others and every mouthful was like Omg that’s amazing! I also tried 2 different non alcoholic Old Mout ciders I hadn’t had before, very nice. I found the food very reasonably priced, plus got our blue light discount on top. With the Blinq table ordering app you can easily see a running total of the bill and you can also order from there too (although for blue light you have to order with a server), although we didn’t need to as the servers were exceptionally attentive and polite.100% will return again to try something else from the menu. Such a treasure to have excellence like this in Doncaster (and only 2 miles from home).

It was a Saturday night we went on the spur of the moment without booking first. We got a table easily and it was a lovely restaurant. The staff were great they took our drinks order and then came back a little while later for our food order. It's an Italian restaurant so guess what type of food they served 😁. Anyway the choice was good and we had a starter and main. We shared the starters and the main meal was big enough for us both to bring half home in a pizza box (doggy bag). The food was excellent, no overly expensive and the staff were great. Lovely place.

Called in without booking and they fitted us in. It was a very busy evening. The service was good and the food was excellent. We will be back. Update, returned a few weeks later for a prewedding dinner. The food was still good but the service was terrible. Meals missed and items wrong. Waiting staff more interested in talking amongst themselves than getting orders correct. No amount of discounts can make up for bad service. Will not be returning

If I could give a minus one rating I would. Utterly disappointing! Took our friend from Canada to Dario’s, she ordered spaghetti bolognaise, found a very long blond hair in her food! I was furious and very embarrassed, really wanted to treat her for a fantastic meal. If that was my restaurant, I would have been at the side of my customers table in an instant and not taken ad long to go and apologise. The replacement meal took forever to arrive. We got that meal free. Husband had Chicken, potatoes and beans, chicken was dry and and hard, potatoes were undercooked, beans were hard and undercooked as well, sauce were tasteless! I tasted the chicken and it was far worse than the worst meal I ever cooked! Hubby left his food after the first two mouths full. I had linguine prawns, prawns were ok but linguine was not cooked properly, very chewy. I ate the prawns and left the rest. This is one restaurant I will not go to again, total waste of money and time. Will not recommend to anyone!!

Booked a meal on line thro the booking app for 7:30pm Sat 5th Aug. Waitress came to table after about 10 mins to tell us there will be at least a 45 min wait for food due to a large booking. why and how can this happen when they are taking bookings online they must know how many covers they can cope with without letting people travel turn up and waste their time only to be told about nearly 1 hrs wait. very poor wont even look to book here again

Went here last night for a leaving do. The food was excellent, staff were lovely atmosphere great but the service needs improvement. We had to ask for service and for our orders to be taken. It was like no one was communicating on saying that I would definitely go again.

Had the best Italian style food I'd ever eaten, thanks to Rebecca the chef who came out to see us ! The waitress was really lovely.I would highly recommend and i never usually do .Ended up there by accident on the same day as Askern festival

2 visits in as many weeks and both were utterly diabolical. The first visit was for our wedding anniversary. Food was good except some stale bread (despite the chef telling me Focaccia is supposed to be as hard as a rock. The pizza was also slightly undercooked and you could still stretch the dough once you had knocked all the flour off. 2nd visit was the the wife's birthday. Again, The food was good, no real complaints at all. What wasn't good was the 2.5hour period we were in there for a starter and main course. ZERO service. Worst experience in a restaurant we've ever had in regards to the lack of service and wait. A table of 8 came after us, had starters, mains and desserts and left before I finally lost it and got the manager. His excuse was they were short staffed. Didn't stop them serving everyone around us. Disgusting attitude and service levels. 50% off the bill we were given for the second visit will not be enough to get us to return or to speak nicely about Dario's.

Poor quality food and need a chef that can cook was disappointed

There’s a lot of room for improvement in the food and service though that seems to be, from reading the restaurant responses to the reviews, that they have opened an Italian restaurant with a chef who doesn’t have any prior experience cooking Italian food. If this is indeed the case, it shows. I want this to be constructive. I’ll start with the service as these points are simple enough - you need a drinks menu or at the very least the wine menu should be given to us when we sit down. Parmesan and black pepper should be offered when the food comes out and there ought to be spoons served with the spaghetti / tagliatelle dishes. The food is lacking in flavour. There is nothing wrong at all with how the food is cooked from a technical perspective, but it’s bland. Italian food is brilliant because it’s made of high quality ingredients cooked simply. That being said - you need better tomatoes. The bruschetta arrived with anaemic and unseasoned tomatoes. If you had higher quality, more flavourful tomatoes and ran some balsamic, garlic, EVOO through and seasoned them properly with salt and pepper - this starter has already improved tenfold. The bolognese (typically cooked with beef and pork) is lacking in flavour. It needs more garlic and better seasoned. It doesn’t taste as rich and full as a ragu like this is supposed to. The chicken fusilli with is light and fresh but needs more salt. The portion size is overwhelming and as such is boring to eat after a while. The pizza served to me felt like it was on a pre-made base, the dough hadn’t been proven at all or frozen and thawed. Either way, it was heavy, very greasy and felt like I was eating a takeaway. Please send the chef to Italy. Given it’s size and location, a restaurant like this has a lot of potential but you really need to get the food right.

We were a party of four and we all thoroughly enjoyed the excellent food and drink and the extremely pleasant staff that served us, and of course the perfect location.

Visited a few weeks ago, with it being a new business there was a few teething problems but since then I have visited a few times and every time has been lovely, they have made huge improvements, lovely restaurant, great atmosphere, gorgeous food and 10/10 service! Highly recommend giving Dario’s a try!
