Food is nice though I recommend going after 9am or it’s pretty empty. Staff will make fresh sandwiches on demand which I great if you can’t see something you like.

This charming little bakery in Great Shelford is found directly opposite the recreational field and is clearly popular with the locals. It has a wide array of sweet and savoury offerings, drinks, sandwiches, bread and also sells eggs. The staff came across as friendly and welcoming and, during this current time, were correctly observing social distancing regulations. I bought a cookie and iced bun, both of which wholly satisfied my sweet tooth cravings.

Nice Restaurant The menu was quite special. Got venison, beef cheeks and lamb pasta. Overall everything tasted good. Delicious and tender beef and venison. Personally I prefer the mashed potato than the layered potato. The vegetables were not overcooked. Everything was correctly seasoned with good balance. You know, the side didn't taste bland after you bite the main. Glad that the bread pudding was not too sweet. Personally I hate dessert being too sweet. The staff was very efficient. Wanted to get our order as soon as giving us the menu. The restaurant area was clean. Lovely environment. Just some problems with the toilets. They were really smelly when customers passed by in the narrow corridor.

Competitive Pub Trying to write reviews for the Cambridge pubs therefore entered this restaurant. The menu is relatively limited compared to Milton Arms and Lion&Lamb nearby, but still competitive. The lamb rump was in Indian style, very soft and tender that melted into your mouth. With a nice salad. But the rice was slightly dry and stuck together, probably slightly stuck into the bottom of the cooker? The burger was really nice. It had both quality and quantity. Large and juicy burger. Not oily. The chips were hot and tasted very good, in generous quantity. The restaurant is rustic but clean. The toilets are clean and roomy. The staff was nice and helpful. He offered help even we didn't request. Overall it's a competitive business in Cambridge.
