Would like money back in credit please it was cold and the rice was not pilau

Food was delicious. Staff were efficient. Music from bar was a little loud and heavy for restaurant dining. Toilets were the let down.. ladies toilet at restaurant end has 3 cubicles..1 with no light. 1 without toilet paper. 1 the door won't shut. So advised my friend to use the one in bar area. 1 cubicle no toilet roll. At end of evening I need to use toilet again. Restaurant was closed but I went to the toilet there as I knew one if the cubicles had paper. Staff saw me walk into toilet. But by time I sat down the lights were turned off by restaurant staff leaving.. leaving me to finish in the dark.

Will definitely be ordering again great food

Lovely meal with family, came for sons birthday He got a surprise birthday cake and song which we didn’t know was going to happen - very nice touch Couldn’t fault the food, portion sizes are very good

So late, I had to cancel it. Will be checking that payment has been cancelled. No idea about the quality of the food as never got to eat it!

Fantastic curry house next to the pub. Always fantastic service and amazing food in here. The waiters are always on hand working as a team and very attentive. Every dish I have had here has always been great and the team are keen to ensure you have a good experience.

The food was well below average. It might as well have been served straight from a tin. The pickles were watery and didn't taste of much. We sent the first drinks (Diet coke) back as they had been watered down way too much. They bought bottles back as they couldn't solve the issue. The food was plentiful but lacked a great deal of flavour. It was a very quiet night with too many staff so they didn't seem to know what to do with themselves. So they kept bothering us... There was little in the way of atmosphere and I wouldn't want to go there again. At the end of the meal, one of the staff chucked the bill at us and went to finish his conversation with his mate. That's right...he threw it onto the table. Finally, I ought to mention that the table was reserved under the name "Davey." Neither my partner nor I are called Davey. It just wouldn't suit her. Summing up, I make better curries at home and I'm not rude....or Davey.

This month, we visited Delhi Spice in Bearsted. Notably, Delhi Spice isn't just an Indian restaurant; it's also seamlessly connected to The Rose Inn pub, which was bustling with energy on a Thursday night. The restaurant's ambiance distinguishes it from other curry houses we've visited. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the friendly staff and ushered into a space that beautifully combines Indian charm with the lively atmosphere of a pub. It truly offers the best of both worlds. The menu features a variety of classic Indian curries alongside enticing specials. Intrigued by the description of “simply order & be surprised,” we couldn't resist ordering The Delhi Spice Special, which ended up being the highlight of the night. While all the dishes were well-prepared and presented, the Spicy Chicken Tikka Masala fell short of our expectations in terms of depth and flavour. Overall, it was a great meal and evening, especially for a Thursday. If you find yourself in Bearsted craving good Indian food and a vibrant atmosphere, Delhi Spice/The Rose Inn is the place to go. Inside it says they want to be you "Favourite Local Indian Restaurant". As far as I'm concerned they have succeeded. Food was a pure delight, the service considerate and the prices are very fair. I absolutely recommend the Lamb Shanks.

Very disappointed with the food. King prawns came in a sweet tomatoe sauce with no flavour or seasoning. Paneer starter was 2 pieces with a salad without a dressing. We stepped in when the waiter said he would bring us papadams with yogurt and this was later added to our bill. The biryani was a disgrace and a first to be accompanied with again a vague mixed vegetable curry. When my son asked for yogurt due to the spice, they refused saying we can only provide raitha which again was charged. All and all, besides the cleanliness of the restaurant, the food was a disappointment. We requested for plain naan and got a sweet butter naan. Everything was sweet and confusing.

Food was great as normal, service this time was disappointing, normally brilliant and so attentive, atmosphere was disappointing as a group of very loud blokes didn't seem to care how loud they were with their bad language, such a disappointment this time.

Food was good quality although a little cold on arrival and a couple of dishes were oversweet. Whilst good quality, I'm not sure it was worth the extra £15 compared to what it would have cost from our usual restaurant.

Was smelling like burnt. Not spiced properly. No plastic cutlery was included. Just bad and waste of money.

Had a takeaway and it was excellent

We booked in here as staying st the Delta Marriott at Bearsted and was just up the road for our night. However, although very welcoming, we were not over impressed. Firstly, music from the speakers was no noisy and not relaxing. We ordered a starter of prawn puree for my husband, flavour quite good but not much of the prawn content as other Indian places we visit. The pilau rice I personally didn't like at all. My chicken madras was ok but nothing to shout about. Such a shame as we were looking forward to it do much. Wouldn't rush to go back.

Great food, staff are lovely, food is fantastic. I will not go to any other Indian in Maidstone.

Recommended by friends so decided to try as recommendations are always best. Ordered as a takeaway which took 25 minutes (quick on a Saturday night so that’s great). It was bland and tasted of nothing. The coconut rice was very basic and curry’s tasteless. Nan was the best part of the meal. Unfortunately straight after we finished we both felt poorly. We never feel unwell from meals but this was not good. On the positive side it was reasonably price however it’s not worth the illness or lack of taste. We won’t return.

The most amazing service I’ve ever received, they were so kind and overheard that it was my partners birthday, and at the end of the meal an employee gave him a slice of birthday cake with a candle, they were so speedy with service even on a packed Friday night, we waited no time at all, the group i was with all loved their food and the staff are just so thoughtful

Very good food good portions and very helpful and friendly service. There was a good selection on the menu to choose from at reasonable prices a few unusual recipes as well. All in all we enjoyed our experience and easily return for another meal.

Found the place on Google while searching for Indian restaurants, we arrived at the place at 14.05 as we had checked on Google before coming it was closing at 14.30 Upon arriving, we met one of the server who directly told us , we are closed very rudely. Upon telling him on Google it said your'll close at 14.30, he said yes but kitchen is closed. We had no choice but to leave but then he asked us to sit. The restaurant was empty except some people in the bar section... We placed our order quite hurriedly as he just gave us the menu book and soon came to take the order. We also rushed thinking maybe they have to close. Ordered chicken biryani, chicken hyderabad tikka and butter naan. All dishes were quite nice and tasty. Naans were soft and freshly made. Biryani quantity could have been a little better. It was served along some vegetable gravy. Wish could have given some raita also along with it. Definitely enjoyed the food and will surely visit again. Less stars for the service.

The Delhi Spice hosted a family/friends get together for us in the attached garden on Saturday 8th July. Nothing was too much trouble. The food provided was a mixture of English/Asian and was all deliciously hot. The pub bar was also well served with very little wait time to be served. Can recommend this as a friendly place to consider for get togethers. Staff very friendly.

Who ever thought that an Indian restaurant with an archway without doors, leading directly into a pub, would not only be a good idea, but actually be a real hidden gem of a restaurant! I’ve lived in Maidstone for nearly 8 years and didn’t know this place existed, but will definitely be going back again. You can access the Indian from within the rose pub or via the side entrance from the car park. Service is as expected with an Indian restaurant, excellent waiter service and relaxed atmosphere with the sounds of the pub jukebox playing in the background. Never before have I experienced a full Indian meal with the sounds of the Beatles and Frankie Goes to Hollywood playing loudly across the restaurant! Food was lovely, really fragrant and perfectly spiced for what we ordered. The bill came to £60 for the two of us, including two drinks each, a starter and main course with breads and rice. Ample parking spaces to the left of the pub directly outside the restaurant. Very quiet at 7pm on a Monday evening.

Went there on Sunday for a meal and my bottle of wine arrived and was left on the table for me to open and pour my own wine. And service was poor and food was just ok

Stumbled upon this Pub/Indian restaurant on a night out with friends & Colin! and it was brilliant, great service and the food was spot on. We each ordered the usual indian dishes and what came out were five dishes that tasted completely different whereas most Indian restaurants everything tasts the same. Would highly recommend the Delhi Spice @ the Rose.

Never normally one to leave negative feedback but have to say I’m rather disappointed, first time ordering from this restaurant and as a massive curry lover have to say due to value for money I would not order from here again, I ordered 2 chicken tikka masalas, two pilau rice, naaan bread and saag, on a positive note the chicken was of good quality and nice generous chunks was provided, and the tikka sauce did have some nice flavours too, the restaurant also kindly put some popadoms in and they was great, however the rice seemed to be over cooked, almost seemed like it was heated up in a microwave, it was stuck together in clumps and really lacked the flavour you will normally always get when ordering from an indian restaurant, the naan bread again lacked flavour and did not seem fresh it felt elasticised and had a very mushy like texture, the prices of each individual element of the order was more than the other 5-6 Indians near me which I have tried behind and have been brilliant! I thought there would be a reflection of this in the quality of the food so I took a risk however that did not pay off 🫤

This place is LOUD the waiter was unable to hear our order and most ofnthe pub customers were drunk stumbling around the place. If you are ND do not even consider this place. If you want to have a conversation do not consider this place. The food was nice except for the burnt sag bhaji. Tried to tell the waiter but he couldn't hear me so just got out as quickly as possible.

We went last night on a friend's recommendation and they were right the service and food are spot on. I had the most flavoursome, tender chicken tikka dish I had eaten in a long time. My partner said his pilau rice was really tasty. I rounded off my meal with a delicious coffee floater. We had a great evening, thank you for a delicious meal and great service.

We live so near but always went into town to eat or used town based town based delivered for Indian meals. Not any more! The best Indian meal we've ever eaten and we and our friends have eaten many over the years. The service was friendly andb impeccable plus the final bill was very reasonable. All in all highly recommended. Thanks to the staff and management at the Delhi Spice...we shall be back.

We arranged to have an evening out with family and very close friends after a while away. The evening started with a few drinks in the bar and then we were shown to our table at the time booked. To get the meal underway we had popadoms and chutneys while we perused the menu and then ordered. The food arrived in a timely manner and all together which for 9 people was very commendable. The standard of the food was superb with good portions and all piping hot, everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food that is of the highest quality that I cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you to Alum and the other waiters and chef, brilliant and we will look forward to seeing you again very soon.

I have eaten in the restaurant and enjoyed the food. Will not order on line again as I've never been more disappointed!!! The rice smelt and tasted like it had stach and hadn't bin washed. Soup was covered in oils and lacked in flavour...never again!!! All in all dinner was diagnosed!!!

We ate here last week after last visiting a few years ago. The bar staff were really happy and helpful and when we got to the restaurant the waiting staff were also so polite, good humoured and friendly. The food tasted amazing and we would definitely go back - no grease, all fresh and super tasty and for a reasonable price.

Absolutely delicious meal with so many lovely flavours. Delivered in good time and very hot still. Shame our onion bhajis were missing but we got a refund and would happily order from here again.

We were three of us who went in excited to have some great food and service. We were the only one dining in, and sadly the service was appalling. The waiter was quite unfriendly and insisted we order starters and the mains all at once and refused to take the orders for starters alone whilst we would have decided our mains. A handful of reminders and then the jug of water was reluctantly brought in. Paneer tikka was just some lemon pickle slapped onto quite stale paneer. Tarka dal was the only saving grace. Saag paneer could not have been sweeter. All in all poor service and below average food. This is certainly not even half decent Indian food.

What a very pleasant surprise finding Dehli Spice. The waiter was so friendly and helpful. I ordered the spicey spinach curry and asked if the cheese could be added, which was not a problem. The spice was perfect and hot, but very flavourful. My husband ordered the Delhi special jalfrezi, our waiter said he could make it milder as this is a hot spicey curry. It was ordered hot and true to the waiters word, it was hot, but it was absolutely delicious. So fresh and flavourful. If you like good authentic Indian cuisine, try Dehli Spice. I highly recommend it.

My wife and I enjoyed wonderful freshly cooked Indian food. I had the "special" Jalfrezi which was very spicy/hot, but in a tasty way :) The outdoor seating does not offer the best views (parking lot) but we were happy to sit there because we brought a dog. Staff is friendly and helpful. Prices are fair.

I had the Dehli Special... Lovely! Mixed meat, chicken, lamb, prawn, king prawn. Really well spiced with a good serving of gravy that was rich and full of flavour. The mushroom rice was very tasty and full of flavour. As for the peshwari Nan bread, it has to be one of the best that I have had for a long time. Not dry, and packed with filling. The waiter was a trainee so was under the guidance of the manager. The lad did well. Drinks, well, you are at the back of a pub so everything is on draft, bonus! Attentive staff, very welcoming and friendly. I'd love this as my local curry house. Fresh, flavoursome and really well spiced food.

It looks like an ordinary pub from the outside but has a great Indian restaurant at the back. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. A mix of the basic traditional curries with some really great specialities.
