Dexter's in Brighton and Hove

Una vez más, servicio amable, excelente café y brunch. No hemos estado por un tiempo, pero no nos decepcionó, fue el comienzo perfecto para un día tranquilo en Brighton. Gracias.

Me senté con mi amigo para desayunar. Subí a la caja y le pregunté (la tostada estaba en el menú para 2. 90) para la tostada con un lado de huevos escalfados (en el menú para 2 como extra), la chica dijo que sí, que está bien. Incluso verifiqué mi pedido y dije "para que pueda tener la tostada marrón con los huevos (¡señalado en el menú!) Como un plato? ’Ella dijo que sí, por supuesto. La comida vino bien Se fue a pagar y la niña dijo que eso es 6. 85 por favor. Conseguí un menú y dije "¿por qué es ese precio ya que tuve la tostada con un lado de huevos para 2"? Ella dijo que "los restaurantes no funcionan así, ordenaste los huevos con tostadas, eso está en el menú". Le pregunté dónde estaba en el menú y no pudo mostrarme (¡no estaba allí!). Ella fue tan grosera y ni siquiera trató de ofrecer ningún tipo de servicio al cliente o una disculpa por la forma en que me habló. ¡Realmente no podía creer lo grosera que era y cómo me hablaba, y ni siquiera podía mostrarme a qué se refería! ! Pagué el 6. 85 pero lamentablemente no volveré ya que el servicio al cliente era muy pobre.

Acogedor lugar con una decoración realmente agradable y limpia, tenemos el tazón de Dexter y bhuda, porciones perfectas y comida fresca, precios razonables y un personal encantador xox

Fuimos a recoger lo que pensamos que sería "un regalo sorpresa", comprado con la aplicación "demasiado bueno para ir": qué decepción ver que nos dieron 2 donuts (3 con la oferta: me pregunto cuánto valdrán). ¿Precio final? ! ) . Mientras esperábamos, pudimos ver un vuelo que iba de tortas a tortas, que no estaban cubiertas y encima de un mostrador, justo al nivel de la cara de la gente para ser estornudado y comentado. . . . Una vez en casa, desenvolvimos las donas que estaban secas y sin sabor: ¡qué decepción! Al mostrar, discretamente, a la encargada de la tienda, la chica en el pastel, ella no dijo nada y se lo quitó sin decir nada. . . Me alegro de no haber comido allí!

A big thank you to chef and staff of Dexter’s, I had a budda bowl for my lunch incredible flavours, vegetarian and well priced. They also know how to make a proper cappuccino!

Been here a few times now .Great cafe in the lanes .Friendly staff Definitly worth a visit for tea and cake on a cold Janruary day. Will be going again to try there other food next time I am in Brighton .

we called in on an overcast afternoon - it looked good and as we went in it was warm and welcoming - the atmosphere as well as the staff. Sadly, the soup was sold out , but its made each morning on site so when its gone its gone - and I can respect that , it shows its fresh food.We went on to have some great coffee, with really large slices of toast and lashings of good butter while we chatted with the staff. I would have had the amazing buddha bowl if I had room.Anyway in an area of the city with great food, this certainly holds it own and is worth seeking out amongst others,

Dexters is a lovely warm, pretty, cosy cafe with a great atmosphere. Its very dog friendly with water bowels and biscuits. The cake is so fresh and tasty and the drinks are great!

Popped in with friends for afternoon refreshments, the cakes were varied and all great quality. The overall ambience was relaxed and we chilled out for a while. No pressure to leave despite the cafe closing time approaching.

Visitors are spoilt for choice when it comes to coffee or tea in Brighton. We wondered why our daughter walked past so many different café/restaurants in the North Laines when all we wanted was a coffee and a cake but we realised why when she took us to Dexter's. Excellent tea, coffee and a vegan hot chocolate satisfied everyone but the unusual in-house doughnuts were the icing on the cake. The clean and stylish interior is a also a feature together with a warm welcome on a cold day. The vegan and vegetarian menu is very attractive, we'll go back for lunch.

Meet friends for a late breakfast. All had different things and said they were lovely. I had a acai vegan bowl with granola which was delicious. Good espressos too

I visited Dexter's for lunch and i was immediately surprised by its interiors. This place is very pretty, they pay a lot of attention to details which is something i appreciate very much. I had a vegan dish called Buddha bowl. It was delicious! The girls working there were nice and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place!

Fantastic food served here. We had a Buddha bowl, Dexter’s Eggs and Eggs Benny today. Really fresh and good portions. Definitely recommend the vegan hot chocolate and the coffee. Will be making this a regular part of Brighton shopping trips. Thanks for a great lunchtime experience.

My wife and i attended this lovely place. The front of house staff were hard working and friendly. However, it was so busy it took 10 minutes for a cold drink to arrive. The food took longer but it was well worth the wait, delicious and really good value and so tasty. I would reccomend this to anyone. I just think they need some extra hands to work there.

This cafe is just lovely. The staff are so helpful and chatty, the atmosphere is really relaxed and friendly. The food is wonderful with a number of vegan options beyond the obvious choices! This is well worth a visit!

It was my first time here and im so happy for visit. This place really clean and relax im gonna come back for try desserts.

Dexter’s is situated in one of the most trendy areas of Brighton , Kensington Gardens and offers really good original food for all tastes. Vegans and Gluten Free are all catered for and portion sizes are excellent. A great place for a visit anytime of the day.

Lovely fresh food , avocado, feta , pomegranate on sourdough toast topped with poached egg and crispy bacon , mmm mmm mmm , very tasty and fresh lovely little place for breaky, brunch or lunch, highly recommend 😊

Really tasty eggs royale this morning and lovely friendly staff. Nice buzzing atmosphere too. Would recommend.

Nicely thought about with decor, good coffee and extremely tasty scrambled eggs on toast. Really nice presentation of food. Will be back!

Cute little cafe on a cute street. Sat at window bar having breakfast and watching the world go by. I love the classic breaky stuff such as granola, eggs, avo, ice coffee etc etc.

I meet friends here on Saturday for what we thought would be a good breakfast. How wrong could we be!

Stopped off here over the very hot and sunny weekend for a coffee and a snack.

After a long walk through the Lanes we found this little cafe by chance and so glad we did. Super friendly and kind staff, clean and comfortable, stylish decor. Good value and wonderfully delicious cakes. Shame only 1 variety of vegetarian bagel, please add more. No plastic anywhere was a great plus

Popped in to this lovely little cafe as we hunted for somewhere to warm up from the snow. Crazily, the first 3 cafes we tried were all freezing cold, but luckily Dexters had the heating on, plus a sign in the window saying 'IT'S REALLY WARM IN HERE' which made us laugh.

We stopped in here for breakfast and had banana and peanut butter cinnamon bagels. They were delicious - not overloaded with filling and flavours were light and clean. Were tempted to share another! Attentive service too. Venue is small but light and clean - good place to people watch from the window.

Visited this new cafe for a quick lunchtime snack, and was very impressed with the homemade 'Soup of the day' tomato with lentils. Served with a jug of refreshing cucumber and lemon water and warm wholemeal bread, it was delicious, wholesome and thoroughly nourishing. I am looking forward to my next visit when hopefully will have more time to try a cake and coffee. The owner and staff were all very friendly. I wish you all the best with your new venture. Well worth a visit.
