Got a jumbo cod tonight.thought thee fish were skinless .had lumps dry skin and the end piece was very dry and well burnt .I ain't going back

Our weekly go to for fish and chips at Dhillons Fish Inn! Always the best quality cod, perfectly battered, and delicious fluffy chips! Not forgetting the traditional curry sauce and mushy peas that pairs excellently with fish and chips! Always a very warm welcome from the Dhillons Fish Inn team!! Highly recommend if you're nearby!!

Service was good but £3 odd for the smallest portion of soggy chips that weren’t cooked fully. Disappointing.

Chips awful taste half cooked cud do with being cooked for longer

Very slow at serving cooks often forget to cook things and your kept waiting even when you pre order for collection

El pescado estaba empapado y no cocinado correctamente. Luke cálido como eran las patatas fritas. El personal se tomó el tiempo para servir la comida una vez que se tomó la orden a pesar de que solo había 2 de nosotros allí y al menos 4 miembros del personal. han tenido mucho mejor en esta tienda, estaba decepcionado.

Normally really good but this evening soggy chips and awful fish not white flakes but suck together and chewy

Normalmente recibo pescado con papas fritas aquí un sábado y son muy buenas, pero esta noche martes las papas fritas estaban empapadas y el pescado no era escamoso y blanco, estaba pegado y muy masticable. Tal vez no cocinado correctamente. Creo que es una freidora de pescado diferente en la semana, ya que tuve una mala anterior la semana anterior. Más de 13 libras desperdiciadas. La última vez.

Dr joughin is retiring from throckley primary care so we had a celebration lunch from the amazing dhillions fish inn! The pizzas were outstanding everyone loved them we would always come back and order from here!

¿Qué ha pasado con la comida de aquí? El pescado estaba mojado y recubierto con una masa empapada. El Haggis sabía vil y no era como el Haggis que normalmente se compra en otro lugar. Las patatas estaban bien, no muy bien. Sin duda un desperdicio de dinero y no volverá. No vale la pena tratar de quejarse ya que te follan con excusas

Visited on my lunch break at work. I opted for the lite meal which was 2 fish bites and chips for £5. The lady behind the counter was nice. The food was ready quickly however the chips were undercooked for my liking and the fish was average.

Disgraceful had to throw it away total waste of £14 pie was as solid as a rock chips all squashed and barely warm could not eat the chip butty as the bun just fell to pieces will never waste my money going there again

Have just polished off a delicious fish and chip from Dhillons fish inn Throckley! Truly lovely friendly staff, piping hot food and very tasty homemade tartar sauce…….I was so excited to eat I left without my drink!🙈

Lovely clean little shop the food was to die for and the sweet chilli sauce is so good recommend by the manager with our chicken strips will be coming back

This chip shop has THE BEST SERVICE in throckley, the food is amazing, the service is superb and I won't go to another chip shop, even if I have to move out of the area, dhillons will be a weekly trip!

Turned up, place was absolutely rammed, que out the door. Got to the till and ended up buying one of there meal deals. Excellent value for money. Service was very fast considering the Que before us and everything we order double checked to make sure nothing was left out. After being away for a few weeks the food certainly went down a treat. 5⭐️

I don’t get fish and chips often but when I do it’s from here (or occasionally the kebab meet, chips and salad when I really want to treat myself). Always good standard and if you call ahead you get an order number so no queueing. The visit this weekend got me a free sample of tartar sauce which I never really bother with but this was delicious. Fish and chips have got expensive these days, best to pick the best places to buy it from.

Got served by a lovely man with the nicest smile ever. Was really friendly,created an amazing atmosphere, tripled checked the order and kept on offering salt and vinegar. Food was banging and usual and even got a free slice of pizza. 100/10

Just put Fish and Chips in the bin Fish cooked but no taste what fish was it ? Batter not cooked so soggy Chips not great so many bits and not enough chips What a disgrace Will never return

Ordered regular cod and chips and curry. Served in a box so thought this going to be a great portion. Couldn't find the fish at first as it was under a mountain of chips which were nice. Found the fish, half the size of the box, would have expected bigger as this was the size of most small fish at other chippies and batter was too soggy all stuck to the box oil clearly not at the right temperature. Curry sauce tasted good but was like water.

Shuts early without notice and not as advertised. But good food if you get there in time! Don't have a problem with 10pm cut off but just change your advertised opening hours accordingly

Best chippy around, live in Greenside and I drive over just to go here. Owner is lovely too, even gave my son a free brownie.
