Di's Diner in Sunderland

Ordered online absolutely disgusting un edible food it was cold and not cooked properly and the frappes are just powdered sugary water have asked for a refund immediately

Ordered 6 breakfast items and nobody could eat them. Wrap had a hair in it, weird jelly in one of the breakfasts, sandwhich missing hash browns. Won’t let me upload pictures but it was grim

Mince and dumplings never again. Don't know how it can be done so so wrong. Dumpling was raw. Complete incompetence if they can't even cook that right god help them

Ordered on just eat (as seen in photos) absolutely appalled at what I received did not receive my cheesecake and breakfast was shockingly small for the large. Tried to contact business but they do not answer phone. Food came 2 and a half hours after ordered! Do not go here!

Second time I've ordered from here. First time - had a sausage egg and mushroom bap, it turned up floating in egg yolk so was effort to eat it with getting covered. Furthermore, the other half got a bacon sandwich which was disgusting. Second time, it never turned up. No notification on just eat, no courtesy call, nothing. Tldr - save your self from a disappointing meal that may never arrive and order from elsewhere where instead

Food alright however took 1hr 30mins to deliver and driver was miserable

Poor food I ordered fish and chips to takeaway the chips where soggy and the fish had hardly any batter on these where supposed to be on specials board but I was charged full price I do not recommend this place whatsoever

Review based on my last couple of visits/takeaways. Service is incredibly slow, staff are impolite, and the cooked food is mediocre. However, Di's Diner is attached to a care home so the food may be catered for the residents. Plus point - the salad dishes I've had in the past have been nice. I really hope improvements are made as I think this place has some potential, and it would be nice to see an independent business in Washington flourish and do well.

ordered just after 9am finally delivered 10.45 freezing cold put straight into the bin won't be ordering again missing items on the gutsy breakfast also should of read the other reviews before buying raw under cooked sausage breakfast unfit to eat bacon still that fresh and raw it was making pig noises still

Got Sunday's dinner from here and it was absolutely amazing. Tasted great and the portions were huge! Can't recommend enough!

Not gonna low mark them for missing my Mushrooms on my Large Breakfast it’s a small Discrepancy I can handle as the food was absolutely lovely and tasted like a home cooked breakfast … thanks Guys don’t forget my mushrooms next time :), delivery time was earlier then time said on Just Eat, food was lovely and hot also and driver was polite

Had a beef dinner it was lush , hot , gravy had taste ,could not fault it and chocolate orange cake was also lush

Delivered late,cold,eggs were a disgrace,didn’t get beans or tomatoes in big breakfast ehich I’d paid for. Toast soggy. Most of it went in the bin.yuk!!

I fancied some mince and dumplings the other day and I knew Di's Diner had it on their menu. So I had a walk down the road, went in and ordered 2 lots to take out. Getting them home and opening the boxes pouring them onto a plate , it was huge and just fit on the plate without spilling over the side's. It was delicious but to much for one person and had to leave some. Ordering 1lot would be enough for 2 people . Well recommended and well priced

We ordered 4 Sunday dinners today,they were absolutely amazing,from the veg to the chicken/beef. Every thing was delicious. Thank you so much and to the delivery driver. Much appreciated. X

If you want food make sure you order hours in advance!!delivery leaves a lot to be desired!!won't be using them again!!!

No peas on my main meal (again this is not the first time) things have been missing from my plate,I phoned up to be told by the manager that its OK to NOT get everything on the plate and there is nothing they can do we are extremely busy and HE HUNG UP very rude and to busy to deliver quality over quantity, JUST EAT ruined this Buisness

First time trying Di's Bought x2 chicken, x1 pepperoni raps and chips from the take away and not impressed at all , plus for the price I payed I expect alot better. Doubtful I'll be going back . Also £6 delivery for three wraps is a bit steep.

Food was with driver for over 35 mins cold and soggy meant to be crispy chicken nan wraps the chips were burned to a crisp see photos when I rang up said we will send u some more but don’t know how long as we are really busy terrible terrible restaurant please avoid

Ordered a sausage bap. Sausages were pink whole way through, also freezing. they forgot my mans extra sausage which she payed 60p for and there was no egg in her breakfast. i wont be ordering again

Absolutely Disgusting Sunday Dinner.. 45 minutes late..Freezing Cold.. Hard Lumpy Mashed Potato.. 1 flat Burnt Pudding.. A Few Carrots & Peas 1 tiny hard Piece of Cauli. & 2 slices of Fatty Beef..& There Was No Cabbage & No Turnip. I would advise any1 Not to Order from Here its Disgusting.. & The Person On The Phone Was Absolutely Useless.. What A Waste.. 2Hours Wait For That😡😡😡😡😡

Food was on time but came presented badly, my toastie was really soggy and fell to pieces when I picked it up, and the chips are a mixture of overcooked and undercooked chips

Order here all the time, very disappointed today, ordered my lads some lunch just gone one, now 3.10 ignored my calls still no food, pointless now an hour late itll be dinner time soon.

Waited half hour for a jacket potato, dry as sticks not enjoyable, definitely will not be returning

£7 gutsy breakfast was below average, toast was in the toaster 10 seconds then buttered, eggs was hard and dry as sticks, bacon was raw and the sausages were terrible, hash browns dry and solid. Usually a decent brekkie but not impressed with this.

Called in during lock down didn't go in but order was taken through window. Fish and chips freshly made at my request. Very fairly priced absolutely delicious and staff very helpful and friendly. Well worth another order

Absolute joke of a service! Waited for 1hour and 10 mins for a delivery...rang to chase where it was and was informed they had forgotten to put it up?? When it finally arrived there was food missing from the order. Called back again for the 4th time to say there was food missing and the lady who sounded like she was on some sort of day release or care in the community program couldn't have cared less. FYI it wasnt a complex order it was 6 breakfast buns. Strongly recommend everyone to stay clear.

Absolutley grim whole breakfast was vile, ordered gravy and chips had to get more delivered as first lot were black and slimey and hard in the middle more got delivered and they were litterally just as bad definatley worst food I've ever eaten in my life Advise anyone to eat just toast if you go here

My 78 year old Dad and I have been using you guys since this lockdown situation started and you guys have been brilliant. Quality of food, presentation & friendliness of staff cannot be faulted. Though I can only drop off my Dads Sunday dinner and speak to him at a safe social distance its still something he very much looks forward to & is the highlight of his week. I'm still working myself & classed as a key worker and its still a highlight of my week to be able to see him and take him his dinner & have a good chat through the window before going back home to enjoy mine. When things get back to normal, we are looking forward to visiting your restaurant together as we really look forward to Sunday's . Thanks once again.You are providing a vital service. This place is amazing. I've had a Sunday dinner & the hunters chicken, the food is delicious & portions are massive, good value for money

Wonderful, smallish, cafe, extensive (real food) menu with daily specials. Sunday lunch is well worth the money, desserts are also difficult to walk away from. Delivery is available. Nice coffee. Friday evening Bingo & Social bash. My friend had Christmas lunch delivered, lasted her a good while too!!
