The venue felt a little unfinished, quite cold, very bare. Prices were Manchester city centre level. They food was very nice although sides somewhat overcooked. The burger was excellent. Drinks offerings were mainly craft beer and prices reflect that.

We stumbled upon South Seven after Libby's, next door but one, was shut. This was at 4.30pm and Libby's wasn't opening until 5pm (Tier 3 times). South Seven was recommended by a staff member in The Midland, opposite, as we only wanted a coffee. Well the coffee was great; as South Seven's machine wasn't working, they went through the back and got it from Libby's anyway! What's nice about Marple is the sense of mutual proprietor community - the staff member from The Midland making the recommendation and Libby's helping out South Seven.
