Great pub, great food and real ale selections, friendly, chatty staff. If in Morecambe then go there. What's not to like?!!! 😁

Friendly, clean, great atmosphere & value

Large pub diner with plenty of seating indoor & outside. Service is fast either ordering at the bar or from the Greene King app. If you want to swap food items on your order, go to the bar. Good for sports with TVs visible from most if not all seats indoor.

Thank you to the Team at The Dog and Partridge. We were celebrating my wife being cancer free for her 1st year. We had a perfectly cooked meal served by really friendly staff, in addition Shauna is a fantastic host too. The food is extremely good value for money. Thank you again for being a great local pub, long may it continue. 😀

Came for a meal with family as they were set to go home, back to Australia the next day. We had some lovely food and was served quickly and all hot. The atmosphere was pleasant too and not to loud, despite a football match being on the screens.

Good food expensive for drinks, food excellent

Food was good, greene king is always a winner. Dog friendly and you could sit anywhere, so you didn’t feel as though you were treated any different to anyone else.

Much like others here we were told we had to book the festive fayre in advance so we couldn’t have any. (Look for the newest reviews here). In addition I asked for a quiet table so we could chat and we were placed at a table under a television showing a darts match. When I asked if we could move into the extension which looked quieter I was told there was a TV in there as well. TV s everywhere which no one is watching. Nothing with elderflower - cordial. Only lemonade on draught - Schweppes. Fruit juice - orange, apple or cranberry - seriously? Who drinks a pint of the oddest cranberry juice I have ever seen. We left. I have actually never felt so unwelcome anywhere in my life. I appreciate that the girl in the bar was working alone and she was fastidiously polite at all times, but, especially after reading other reviewers who experienced the same, the publicity on the festive fayre is inadequate and whoever heard of a pub with no fruit juice? No I will not return or recommend

I had Fish Chips Mushy Peas and Curry Sauce with an order of Bread and Butter (2 Slices). On a Friday (which it was 😁) It only cost around £7.30 ish.... Fish was so nice, Batter was just right too. Loads of Tartar Sauce. Saved this pub in Google Maps Favourites.... Will definitely come back. I'll try the Sunday roast (On Sunday of course 😏).....

We went for the festive lunch on Monday 16th December. We were really impressed. The food was delicious, best turkey I've eaten, really moist and tender. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Great value for money 2 courses for £13.99 I would recommend to anyone Hope all the staff have a very happy Christmas when you finally get to celebrate. An outstanding pub.

Did not stay we ordered a table for Christmas menu only we got there and they sid we did not book the Christmas menu so we could not have one the assistant manager was rude as well

My first visit lovely relaxed atmosphere, I ordered Garlic Bread With Cheese, Onion Rings& Southern Fried Chicken burger with tasty red onions, lettuce in a soft bun. The staff were all very friendly, the pub was decorated with nice old photos of morecambe. The Christmas decorations were lovely. If I am in morecambe again I will definitely visit !

Amazing Sunday dinner. 4 of us 2 turkey and 2 beef. No waste at all. Loved the rustic Yorkshire puddings. Going to be back here for 6£ fish and chips on fridays

Really great value, came for burger Wednesday and was quick service, food came out piping hot and within 20 minutes even though the pub was full. Service was outstanding by Courtney she was very professional and could handle the rush alone on the bar. Will definitely return to try other meals and the great weekly deals 👍

I have started visiting this place regular. The food is always lovely, hot and comes out fast, longest I've waited for food was about 30 minutes, but the place was heaving with diners. The place Is friendly, and staff are lovely. The young girl who serves on you, slim and long blonde hair, seems to work the hardest, she is always darting around, but always very friendly. She should be awarded for this! Although this is the nearest place to where I live, 15 minute drive, I can honestly say this is the nicest place to eat for a bar meal. Never had a bad meal here, and always full when I leave. Will I be returning? You bet I will, again and again

Had a lovely meal with my family

Me and my partner decided to go for tea as we’d heard so many good things from our friends. I can honestly say we will be returning, from the good food to the excellent service, the bar maid Aimee was ace, she was very welcoming and had a smile on her face even though it was busy, nothing is too much trouble.

First visit to the pub. Service was very friendly, efficient and competent. Ordered the Sunday beef roast, Cumberland ring in a Yorkshire with mash and the breakfast bap. Three empty plates say it all. Good value for money as well. Would highly recommend. Great selection of real ales on tap as well.

I really enjoyed the time in this pub, I went for lunch with my disabled friend I work for. A bartender was really friendly and polite, apparently I left some cash on a counter and he came back to me later will all the money. It wasn't a lot ,but the fact that he was so well mannered and honest! I told him to donate it to a charity they were helping. Food was tasty and I will be coming back. Thank you for the outstanding service.

Let me just start by saying that this pub is usually top notch … I’ve never had a bad word to say and I always sing their praises . Myself and my family are frequent diners here but on quite a few occasions now the food & service has been pretty poor . Portion size used to be amazing & good value for money but recently Ive felt like they are scrimping a bit. One occasion was for my brothers birthday we went as a family , one of the meals was cold & the other .. well the sausages were that stale that they could have broken some teeth . Another occasion was a sunday , I came with my son and my mum for a Sunday dinner , both meals when they came were stone cold & my sons meal didn’t even arrive , I had to ask for it . Another occasion we waited over a hour for food & when it finally did come it was like it had been sat out for a while ,another occasion we got our food & didn’t get our drinks until after our meal even after repeatedly asking for them , Now like I said this is very unusual for them to give such rubbish service but obviously if we don’t say anything they won’t know where to improve . Fingers crossed they do & can get back up to standards :)

Booked Sunday lunch and visited this pub with my husband, having seen several good reviews. He had the beef and I had the turkey Sunday dinners on a meal deal, very tasty, generous portions, piping hot and served very quickly. Good quality food and great staff. Electric vehicle charging available in site, an additional bonus ! The only negative is despite booking, the pub had forgotten to reserve a table for us. This was quickly rectified and a table allocated for us. Highly recommended Sunday lunch.

A disappointing experience as food was low quality. Roast beef in roast meal very tough. Roast meals drowned in gravy. Will not be going there again.

Lovely pub, food was very nice. They have a seniors menu at a very reasonable price. Apple crumble and custard was delicious. Bar staff very helpful and polite.

Visited here with my sisters and three kids on Saturday 24th August 2024 upon arrival the pub was very busy and had an overall nice warm and friendly atmosphere. There were lots of families and Children and dogs around which was nice. We had lovely Cockapoo cuddles.! However the service was just too slow. There was one girl serving at the bar. She was absolutely rushed off her feet. She kept having to leave the bar to go and get things (such as a box of cider) and items they had ran out of. Twice I went up to the bar and twice I was waiting for around 20 minutes each time. I ordered food and it was a hour and a half wait. However I have to say the food was amazing. I had a double beef burger, chips and onion rings. Compliments to Chef Jason in the kitchen He does the most lovely food. Overall the pub is lovely. Yes I would return but they need to get the right amount of staff to accommodate the amount of people that go in.

Excellent pub I bring my mum every Sunday for a roast beef dinner. We used to just come but now we book each week and they even reserve us our roast dinners because they sell out so fast which makes sense considering how good they are for value. Often come in for burger Wednesday aswell really cannot grumble at £5 for a burger. Excellent quality and the staff are always going above and beyond to ensure everything is great. Really really great pub glad I found it

Very reasonable priced food and drinks. Extremely busy pub so expect a wait on food however totally worth it, the staff are friendly and efficient nothing is too much for them. I visit here often and would recommend to anybody. I visit with thedifferent groups as it’s clientele is fit to suit everybody. Really good venue and an asset to Greene king

Good food and great value for money

My family and I popped in for lunch recently one wednesday afternoon, and they had a meal deal on called "build your own burger" for a fiver. Big portions, tasty and filling. The staff were very pleasant and friendly, and the chef checked with us to see if everything was o.k. which it was. Yes, I recommend the Dog and Partridge.

Went for a couple of drinks with my other half and her family, one member has a slight gluten allergy, Aimee and Siobhan were very helpful and explained there is non gluten menu however if you go on the Greene king app there is a allergy part that explains everything you need to know, highly recommend The Dog and Partridge for its amazing value and friendly staff. Most definitely will be returning, thankyou.

I have been here many times and have always received great service from all the staff. Waiting times are quick and the food always arrives hot and delicious. Cleanliness is not ever an issue thanks to Charles Hall and all the other excellent kitchen and cleaning staff.

plates and cutlery were spectacularly clean, i always appreciate spotless crockery so id like ti commend the potwasher - on the evening i visited it was Charles working (i did ask!) so props to him!

Took my kids after going to happy mount park, great family pub, good prices, great food and excellent service from our server Sam.

Come here quite regularly and the staff always excel and go above and beyond. We come just after 9pm and Graham the chef actually allowed me to order some chicken wings even though the kitchen was shut. I really truly appreciated this. The waitress Siobhan was great as well. The pub is always busy and there is a reason for this. They’re might be a wait but it always comes out amazing and piping hot

Visit here on a weekly basis with my family for food and I also come at the weekend with friends for their amazing cocktail prices. Whenever we come it’s always really busy but the staff are always still smiley, bubbly and efficient. They are always rushed off their feet bless them but doesn’t affect their work ethic. Courtney the manager is always either on the bar, running around the floor, in the kitchen or hanging out the kitchen door doing dishes 😂 the whole team really is an asset to Greene king my favourite pub in Morecambe

Was really disappointed in the food, smallest amount of fries with the burger and 2 onion rings. Plate was big so portion looked ridiculous, cheese and potato pie was just awful and the kids wouldn't touch it. Over priced for what you get. Won't be returning or recommending

Used to come here a lot when I was a teenager, it’s a bit different now! Food is a lot better for a start, there are daily deals, two-for-ones and such, depending on the day you’re there. Bar staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was lovely. Seems to be both family and dog friendly. Nice place.

Ate here a few times when on holiday, as we have before. In many ways it's a standard GK family feedbag pub, the food is standard GK menu, but it's very well done, and there's guest beer that is always in good condition, but it's the excellent staff that set it apart- friendly, helpful, courteous.

Local to us visit often to be honest. No frills pub grub great 90% of the time. Friendly staff Busy football pub tho (I stay away personally) on them occasions personal choice

Recently I have been visiting fairly regularly as new to the area, but unfortunately cask ales few and far between and not consistent, very Dark in side the pub, but I do sit outside mainly, tried to order a meal and unfortunately it was an hour and a half waiting time and people simply getting in the cars and leaving, Staff not particularly dressed to well and Dogs water never fresh or a bowl handy and even no Bowl next to geg barrel for Dog water

Fantastic food great autmosfere

Heard a lot of good things about this pub, so as booking is advised we did ,easy to do and email confirmation. On arrival we were given the reserved table and ordered at bar. The meals arrived in good time and were reasonable quality and quantity for the cost of them. There is a pleasant choice of meals available with many offers for different days. The staff are pleasant and efficient but the actual pub seemed dark and in need of referbishment. Outside a considerable amount of the car parking area was taken up with electric car charging stations and tables and no disabled parking spaces could be found , a necessity for us. I know that this is a very popular pub and busy but sorry Dog and Partridge but something put us off returning, nothing to complain about sadly just one of those things.

The place was busy however service was spot on and all our food came hot and delicious! Staff were pleasant and working hard. The place was clean despite it being extremely busy. We will most certainly be back!

Thanks all at the Dog & Partridge yesterday,4th April, was with my elderly parents & family, lovely lunch had by all, only thing was I found myself clearing the table,after we’d finished lunch placing on an empty table behind,& had to go to the bar to request the deserts for the senior meal lunch.The staff were very friendly & the lady behind the bar was extremely busy.A lovely visit,food was great ,prices good too, just clearing the table was an issue,I’ll bring my family back again.
