Dog & Partridge in Wigan

Nice town centre pub. Good atmosphere. Great prices. The poor barmaid could do with some help when it's busy though.

Came to wigan to bring in the new year and even though the weather was awful we enjoyed a friendly atmosphere where we went apart from this place where the bar staff were absolutely ignorant and didn’t appear to want to serve you. As soon as the new year was in, the door staff couldn’t wait to pressure you out. Never again Spoiled my overall experience of Wigan

Didn't get anything to eat but what I seen looked delicious, will bring back my wife for some food soon. Service was excellent and nice atmosphere 👌

We go there because we know a lot of people who go in there, it's quite big so no worries about somewhere to sit & there's a pool table

Clean pub,clean toilets , friendly staff

The bar girls is brilliant she works 100% cleaning an seeing to everyone that comes in the pub with a lovely smile an asks what you want then also remembers brilliant

I've only been here once on a Saturday night and i enjoyed it. It was mixed with all ages and there was a Karaoke which was good. It has a very working class atmosphere which was also a plus, none of the pretentious stuff. The staff were friendly and polite, I'll be going again soon.

Barmaid pulled the wrong drink when I went back to ask for the correct drink I was told the mistake was mine I’d apparently picked someone else’s drink up which was nonsense then when I asked her again another member of staff tried helping but she was told not to change the drink the barmaid then went to the doormen & told them I’d called her some horrible names which I didn’t we was subsequently told to leave shocking customer service will definitely giving this place a wide birth if we ever visit Wigan again.

Despite advertising as dog friendly they are not .Dogs are not allowed

Not great tbh — loud music, and some dodgy clientele but the lady whom served me was nice enough… despite us having to shout to communicate due to the aforementioned loud music. However, it deserves two stars when Harry’s Bar is complete dogshit… though I didn’t wish to stay in either for long

Always liked this place but not dog friendly 😕

So no vaping in this venue, but open drug dealing in the gents unchecked. Clientel rough. Atmosphere like a powder keg. Has a feel of last chance saloon if you're not able to get served anywhere else. Scallys, chavs, dealers and more. Definitely don't take the wife.

Full of low lifes .not even a wifi connection.

For me personally this pub is a mixed bag. On the one hand they do great drinks, the people & staff there are friendly as well. So 5 out of 5 for the above. The cleanliness is terrible, normally always a bit of a bad smell in there, always got flies around & the toilets leave a lot to be desired. So a 1 out of 5 for that. So 3 / 5 overall.

Rough, scary place, no atmosphere

It's alright, sell my brand of beer... Men's toilet can be a challenge if you know what I mean...

Use to be 5 star with friendly staff, great prices, wifi also available. Also dogs can come in 😁. Love bruno the staffy you often see him too. Use to be my favourite pub had drop 3 stars as man started strangle me when he was drunk and pub just told us both sit down and left it at that. They care more for profit over customer saftey. 6 different pub customers said the man went for me first. Lost all respects for staff there. I'm disgusted and utterly shocked when I though the world of this place.

Popped in when visiting Wigan, lovely 2 guys behind the bar made us very welcome and had a few drinks and a laugh with a few regulars. The refurb looks fab , thanks guys see you again soon

I've only been in ones or twice not a place for me

Went here on a matchday with my 13 year old son. Got told by female bouncer that it wasn't company policy to allow under 18s in. I asked her in return. Is it company policy for the guy in the rugby shirt behind the bar to go and sniff white powder with the punters? She replied shall i call for back up? #pathetic

Went on a Sunday before a football match, plenty of room, served quick and good prices, good staff behind the bar.

Nice place but don't sell strong bow

I've been going in there for over 50 years and never known it so bad no strongbow just rotten Cider like vinegar you can't give it away in jail bring back strongbow and get your customers back in no customer's no cash going in the till it's a no brained

Just what I have come to expect from a good northern pub even if it was just twenty years apart from the first time in to my last visit there. And I haven't taken the wonky floor into account.

Been revamped good beer and selection off food.

Brilliant atmosphere and cheap drinks with quick service , and plenty of space , if your pubbing it then definitely visit here .

Its a dive bar full of old pissheads and smackheads

The drinks are cheap there's entertainment on and the pub accomodates all sports with multiple screens. There has been time's where there have been fights in the pub. The men's toilets are a disgrace the floor is soaking wet there is no soap in the soap dispensers, no locks on the toilet door and no seats on the toilet. Most of the staff are friendly enough one member of staff i find very ignorant when you are purchasing a non alcohol drink he makes you wait at the bottom of the que and serves several other people that are purchasing alcoholic drinks that came to the bar long after i went to the bar eventually when you get served he doesn't ask you what you want he stands there staring at you. On another occasion after waiting to be served he decided to play on the bandit and i had to ask him to serve me he told me to wait till he's finished poor customer services. There's also people in the pub selling meat and what i suspect are stolen goods

Lively place good for horse racing like it no trouble as I have seen staff male and female easy to get on with
