Really excellent, freshly cooked and steaming hot breakfast with great coffee. Fabulous selection of cakes for a takeaway treat too. Highly recommend to set you up for a day’s walking.

After completing the gruelling (for me anyway) 3 hour Cave Dale & Winnats Pass walk, the sight of Dolly's Tearoom was a joy to behold! The water already on the table was very welcome along with the cups of tea we ordered. I had a delicious cheese and pickle bap which was served with salad and crisps. Very quick, reasonably priced service from very friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.

We called in this lovely little tearoom earlier this morning for coffee and cake and I’m so glad we did! The service was exceptional and I’ve never tasted such a delicious slice of carrot cake, it was beautiful. I thoroughly recommend this delightful teashop and only wished we lived a little closer to experience the food and coffee again.

This is hands down the best breakfast in Castleton! The quality of the ingredients was exceptional and the portions were super generous. The fresh cake selection is incredible and we couldn’t leave without buying some for later along with a freshly baked sausage roll!. I can’t wait to go back and try some of their fresh cut sandwiches. Wonderful service and gorgeous tea selection. It’s a must visit !

We stopped in with our dog for a quick bite of lunch during a wander round quaint Castleton village. We both ordered the hot roast pork sandwich with stuffing, apple sauce and crackling. Absolutely delicious and a good price for the portion. I recommend this but also everything else in the shop looked beautiful too! So glad we stopped there! Best roast pork sandwich ever!!!

What a shame. Fabulous tea rooms with a great cappuccino. Unfortunately we had bought some American friends who were as disgusted as we were about the foul language from one particular owner shouting and speaking to their staff in a very innappropriate manner. We have travelled Ireland and Wales with very nice hospitality staff. Maybe they should take some lessons from them. I am sure the food is very good however we won't be returning to try it.

Lovely town, stepped in for cappuccinos and tea. Man at the register not so friendly but OK, it was busy. Gave our order, went upstairs. After our order was delivered, the man who took our order came upstairs and proceeded to loudly foul mouth (!) shout behind the corner to another staff member - either directed AT her directly or possibly about a customer. Rude and inappropriate at best, and with children within an earshot. 20 minutes later I went downstairs and heard him again loudly complaining to a male staff member about another customer. Puts a damper on the visit on an otherwise beautiful day. Unprofessional and gives a poor view of British hospitality. One bad apple spoils the barrel.

In Castleton we found this absolute gem of a tearoom. ❤️ The cakes were the best I have ever eaten, the chocolate cake was triple layer with the sponge so moist and the frosting thick and delicious 😋. But the best of all is their home made fruit scones...I honestly have never tasted better!! Lovely friendly staff...this tearoom is AN ABSOLUTE MUST 💯 👌 ❤️❤️

This is a lovely little cafe my cousin and I found yesterday. It’s set well off the busy Main Street and especially handy for walkers near to Winnats Pass or at the end of retuning from the Cave Dale walk. There are just a few odd tables for outdoor seating, but as they were taken we sat inside but were told there is seating upstairs too. The owner was pleasant and friendly with quick service. We both had the delicious quiche, (a huge slice!) served with a lovely mixed salad & mustard dressing coleslaw and crisps. All food was very tasty and fresh. Good for a coffee and cake or a lunch. Clean toilet were a bonus. I will definitely return when I’m here again. Thanks.

Would not advise for vegetarian or vegan meal options as my wife and I had a vegetarian sausage and egg sandwich which had pieces of bacon in it. I did complain and hopefully they have sorted the cross contamination cooking process out now.

We called here on a Sunday morning after photographing above Winnats Pass. A nice clean place and the all day breakfast we had was really nice. We got talking to the owner and he was a great genuine bloke and the waitress was nice and friendly. This place is definitely worth a visit. 10 out of 10.

The tea room, allowed us to take shelter in the rain, they were incredibly kind and caring towards us, and the service was incredible. I would recommend them for their food which was beautifully fresh and amazing and their kind and caring hospitality Would recommend 10/10

Tidy little cafe, nicely decorated and very clean. Pleasant staff providing good service. Both the sandwiches we had were generously filled and the accompanying salad had a nice dressing. Two proper oat milk cappuccinos were spot on. The cafe has a couple of very clean toilets.

Honestly what a find! I stumbled across this little gem having done a loop via Mam Tor and was ready for some food! I was immediately welcomed by the lovely owner and staff. I didn't feel out of place being a solo walker - quite the opposite. The food was AMAZING! I had the homemade quiche of the day and the portion size was huge! I'm a coffee snob (to my detriment) and their coffee was delicious. I even bought a sandwich for dinner back at the campsite. Their menu is varied with choices for everyone. The cakes looked delicious. Their hospitality and customer service was wonderful. Please go and check them out if you're in Castleton!

Fantastic little cafe in the heart of Castleton, set back from the main road. Called pasted for a take away tea and then went back the next day for a breakfast. One of the best full English I’ve had in a long time! Staff are so friendly too! Will definitely call in again on my next visit to Castleton.

Wow…we’ve eaten cooked breakfasts, all over the uk and these were head and shoulders above anything we’ve had before. The quality of the “meat breakfast” was just that..”quality” We also had the vegetarian breakfast and the feedback from the group member, who ate it, was equally delicious! Especially the veggie sausages. All products are locally sourced and it shows!! We are going to return before our trip to the area comes to an end and will definitely be back in the future! “What a gem of a find”

Such a lovely tearoom, we had the home made quiche, best we've ever tasted, they give you such a big portion, and it's very reasonable priced, lovey atmosphere and friendly staff, we will definitely eat there again on our next trip to Castleton 😊

We called in here after a tour of the local attraction . The tearoom is cosy and clean. It has that sense of family run and homemade products. 100% tranquil setting with the local stream / river running just feet from the door. Prices in here are cheaper than eating in your local m&s cafe and better quality. You won’t be disappointed.

Called in for lunch and we had scrambled eggs on toast and what a delight it was. Perfect eggs and proper doorstep bread. Huge portion. Nice tea too. Highly recommend.
