Never again , usually I go to eat the pistachio cake and coffee. But today I get very bad luck. I even can’t eat my sandwich because of that smell of pee . I have paid £ 41 pounds for nothing. Me and my wife we didn’t say nothing, just pay and go . I didn’t see any signs to read the Dogs is alowed . Disappointed

Most of the staff appeared unfriendly and unhappy, which made the atmosphere less enjoyable. The coffee was disappointing, as it was overly milky and lacked balance. Additionally, the seating area is very cramped, making it uncomfortable to relax or enjoy your time. While the pastries are worth trying, the overall experience falls short due to poor service and an uninviting space. There are better options nearby that offer a more pleasant experience.

Coffee inside Selfridge is crowded without reservation, maybe because it is a Saturday and there is noisy But the service was nice. I ordered a coffee latte and a sweet cheesecake. Thank you for the employee’s service Dolores from the Philippines was special, smiling and wonderful, thank you ❤️

The bar is located inside Selfriges. It offer a nice spot for a coffe or a tea while visiting Selfriges. Nice and friendly staff.

Fakhr and Sehar provided me with an exceptional customer experience during my solo dining visit. Their upbeat and pleasant demeanor, coupled with their helpfulness, left a lasting impression on me. I ordered a hot chocolate with marshmallows, which perfectly satisfied my sweet cravings, leading me to forget the cake I had initially intended to order. I am certainly looking forward to returning to indulge in one of the three cakes available.

One of the best cafés in Selfridges, offering a great atmosphere and excellent service. The staff go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction, with a special mention to a very respectful gentleman from Morocco(FAKHAR ). He is always courteous, eager to assist, and consistently strives to meet customers’ needs in the most professional way.

Terribles ofertas de un establecimiento como Selfridges y sobre todo cuando se tiene en cuenta el precio. Incluso se tomaron la libertad de añadir el 12. Cargo por servicio del 5 %. Por favor, no te dejes arrastrar por esto cuando visites Londres.

I think they get unfair reviews here and need a boost of confidence…the staff are always so charming and sweet…matches the outrageously delicious cakes…perfect pit stop for a spot of shopping…I mean if you’re looking for cheap then you know where to go for that!

I was very disappointed with the food quality and noise at Dollys. I went for a,special occasion and was so disappointed for 49 pounds per person I had old sandwiches and soggy cake and tiny scones Yes the service was nice but then got a 12 per cent service charge which I got taken off the bill Would never recommend or return would actually like a refund total ripoff afternoon tea !!!

It is one of the beautiful cafes in the Selfridges complex. It is located in the basement, and there is no need to wait for a period not exceeding 30 minutes. It is the appropriate place to take a break after shopping. The flat white and spanish latte were tried. They were good. As for the desserts, the pink macarons with pistachio sauce and red berries were tried. They were very wonderful, and the pistachio cake was delicious. As for the baked cheese cake topped with all kinds of berries, it was very ordinary. The price is 55 pounds.

It was lovely having tea and scones there and the service was excellent. Do plan ahead and book a table, as there is often a queue.

I first came across this quaint cafe in the middle of Selfridges on my first visit, and since I did not have time to stop and they do not provide carry out, I returned on my next visit to enjoy the same slice of cake that I saw in the display case and couldn't have! This is the perfect spot if you are alone, or with friends, there is such activity around you that either way you are enjoying yourself. I ordered the Cream Tea and instead of a scone, had that scrumptious bright piece of Saffron Cake dressed with rose icing, garnished with chopped pistachios. Now this cake is more savory than sweet despite being iced, so if you are looking for a sugar rush, this is not it. The cake pairs well with the rich flavor of Earl Grey and is just a large enough portion to hold you over until dinner even after a light lunch. This cafe gets very busy and they do have a time limit at peak hours, so please be polite and consider other diners, if not you are allowed to take your time. I enjoyed the staff interaction, as well as the lesson I learned about the difference in tipping norms after asking if they received the full amount based on the service charge. I never assume, and I always want to make sure that staff receives their just due amount especially when excellent service is provided. So if you find yourself in Selfridges on Oxford St. needing a light snack or lunch, check out Dolly’s and don’t forget to tell them I sent you! Enjoy Unnerved Traveler

Me encontré por primera vez con este pintoresco café en medio de Selfridges en mi primera visita, y como no tuve tiempo de parar y no proporcionan llevar a cabo, regresé en mi próxima visita para disfrutar de la misma rebanada de pastel que vi en la vitrina y no podía tener! Este es el lugar perfecto si estás solo, o con amigos, hay tal actividad a tu alrededor que de cualquier manera estás disfrutando. Pedí la crema de té y en lugar de un bollo, hice que ese delicioso pedazo brillante de pastel de azafrán se aderezara con glaseado de rosas, adornado con pistachos picados. Ahora este pastel es más salado que dulce a pesar de estar helado, así que si estás buscando un chorro de azúcar, no es este. El pastel combina bien con el rico sabor de Earl Grey y es solo una porción lo suficientemente grande como para retenerlo hasta la cena, incluso después de un almuerzo ligero. Este café se pone muy ocupado y tienen un límite de tiempo en las horas pico de 45 minutos, así que por favor, sea respetuoso y permita que otros disfruten de la experiencia saliendo como se les pide si está ocupado. Rude workers (Lyba) , food falls on the floor and they pick it up and put it back on the plate and serve to customer , no wonder once I found a rock in my Caesar salad and other times hair in sandwhiches , coffee is stale and always spilled . Poor conditions from selfridges .

Of course, when shopping, we need a break to recharge the energy at Silvergs. There is nothing better than Dolly to sit back, enjoy your coffee, your favorite dessert, and people watch. Located on the ground floor (at the sweets section in the text under the escalator) Their coffee is okay. There is no reservation, a long wait and a queue for your turn. My rating for it is 10/8 Prices: high

Delicious scones & friendly staff. However, the place was a bit busy.

Not the cheapest place around, but then it is part of the Selfridges experience so you would not expect Cafe prices. We both had coffee, which was decent and accompanied by a fortune cookie. My wife had a black forest gateau, which was tiny and cost £9.95 + 12.5% service, but she enjoyed it and found it very tasty. I think my main criticism of Dolly's is that it is not very relaxing to sit there. We were sat near to the escalators and between 2 competing in-store music transmissions. Not much can be done about the siting of Dolly's but they could do something about the music noise pollution. If they did, I would say their premium charges would be somewhat justified.

Very bad service, they have no respect at all. There are some nice ppl working there but some are rude. Don't waste your money on such a disrespectful coffee shop. I really enjoyed my morning tucking into a morning mimosa and a lotus cheesecake...it was such a great atmosphere with chilled music playing to add to lifting my mood after a bad morning. The manager was so attentive and polite. Looking forward to my next trip into Central London just so I can stop again. Thank you

This is a total rip off. I came with a friend for an early lunch - had a salmon sandwich each, a coffee each and a glass of champagne each (the price on the on the menu being £10 each but we were charged £27.90 for both) and the total bill came to £75.60! Never, never again.

I booked afternoon which was meant to be accompanied by a Santa and his elves show. I took my little granddaughters. What we got was bad service and had to ask for our tea and exactly what was happening. We had a choir singing and then the 2nd part which was hyped up consisted of Santa and his elves running through the tables for 60 seconds and it was over. How is that a Santa and his elves show?! Hugely disappointing for my grandchildren! What did we pay for? Everyone standing outside the cafe could see what we saw so why pay £50 each, for an average afternoon tea. Not worth it in my opinion. Won’t be going to Dollys again.

Not worth it. Service is absolutely terrible. A line up around the corner, half the tables empty and the staff are standing around on their phones. Food and tea are okay, just not worth dealing with employees who really don’t want to be there.

Located in the basement level of Selfridge’s, it’s at the base of a five story atrium with escalators whisking shoppers to every corner of the department store. Great people watching and good selection of afternoon tea snacks. Was 50 pounds for a pot of tea, champagne, and three tiers of finger foods and snacks. Highly, highly recommended.

Very bad service I am very annoyed with the waitress who treated me badly and prevented me from putting my things on the chair other than saying it is forbidden even though the person next to me and everyone put your things on the chair. I waited more than half an hour to be treated badly.

ACHTUNG! Das Dolly's ist ein kleiner, abgesperrter Bereich innerhalb des Selfriges Einkaufspalastes. Stell Dich auf lange Wartezeit ein. Wichtig: Scones gibt es ab 18 Uhr nicht mehr ! (@dolly: leider steht das nirgendwo, weshalb wir eine lange Anreise und lange Wartezeit vergeudet haben.)

The service here is absolutely amazing. I was served by Michelle and she did such a great job. Really friendly and everything was perfect.

Jag hade sett fram emot att besöka er för after noon tea. Vi fick ett bord efter ca 20 min. Därefter väntade vi ca 15 min utan att få någon kontakt med eller uppmärksamhet från personalen. Vi blev helt ignorerade. Personalen var inte särskilt upptagna utan gick lugnt runt i lokalen. Det slutade med att vi gick utan att ha fått beställa.

The food is adequate. The pastries in the case look amazing but the service was severely lacking. We ordered the cream tea and received our scones a full thirty minutes after receiving our tea. I’m pretty sure we were forgotten. It was very disappointing and considering our scones were average I don’t recommend this tea.

We had booked a table with a buggy, was easy to find and we were sat promptly! The chocolate eclair was delicious and the lavender lemonade was the perfect balance! Obviously in the middle of selfridges, so not the most atmospheric but would visit again when on Oxford street!

Really nice spot to break up the day shopping. We were served by a lovely lady by the name of Michelle who was an absolute superstar. Helped us so many great recommendations for our little one. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would visit again. The only downside was the scones weren't the best. But the sandwiches and cakes were superb.

Horrible service I come from Qatar and blonde old lady doesn’t tell me how long I wait for table. I wait 1 hour for table and my coffee was cold do not recommend Khalas never again

One of my favorite coffee & dessert places in the area. Service has notably improved over the years as i’ve been an avid customer every time i’m in London and can definitely say the quality has improved. Wide selection of cakes and drinks. Would love to try their afternoon tea one day. Reasonably priced considering the location and portion size. Long queue but the staff tries to accommodate all as quickly as possible.

I don't know why there's a queue for guests when there are so many empty seats.

Joined a couple of friends for an afternoon tea and scones. A nice little area to sit if you’ve been shopping or working all day. Would not say I’d bring children though, as some have complained it’s not child friendly. Definitely for more of a get together and not a full on eat. The price is quiet fair when compared to other places similar in London. You are paying for the experience after all. The waiters were attentive.

I had a drink with friend at this restaurant yesterday , a glass of apple juice and a bottle of Diet Coke.The bill should be £10 but after I back home I found they charged me £18. Then I called them but no one answer my phone!

Beautiful cakes, especially the lemon meringue tart, delicious ice coffee and our waitress Dolores was simply the best! Loved it here.

Dolly’s is located on the lower ground level in Selfridges and it’s often crowded. I think because their clients are mainly tourists, they’re very business oriented and rushed which decreases the quality of the services overall. Very sweet desserts, pretty presentation.

The blonde women was so rude , we were standing outside and there is many tables available and she doesn’t even talk to us. Which makes us leave the place . PLEASE HIRE SOMEONE NOT RACIST

Cafe staff never checks on table you have to wait to long to order then wait again to order and then wait again to pay if you have too much free time this cafe is best to waste 😅😆 so poor service and then you pay service charges

Me and my husband came to celebrate the coronation of the king, everything was amazing food, environment and most of all the service. We were taken care by a lovely young girl named Lyba, had a beautiful smile on the whole time and made sure our experience was perfect, as it was our first time having an afternoon tea. Definitely recommend to visit.

Walked right by it a few times looking for a lovely place for traditional English tea. It’s plopped down in the middle of the basement level and it felt like I was in a subway cafe. Nice enough staff. Food was interesting and tasty, tea was fine. It’s really overpriced for the lackluster English tea experience. My bad, I should have done my homework before popping into Dolly’s.

First you have to wait 30 minutes to get a table because its so busy and believe me its not worth the wait . you would think that by now Selfridges would have thought 'hang on, we need to expand this coffee shop' but no, because its. 21st century rip off yet again . Place is extremely noisy and not relaxing because horrible crass music is blaring out from loudspeakers placed on the escalator that is situated above Dollys. Who thought that one out???? and its like being in the middle of Charing Cross Station and having a coffee on the tarmac, its absolutely horrible. Staff are totally zoned out and who could blame them and then you are looking at about £40 for a cup of tea and a stupid scone - forget it minus minus one million

My friend and I came here and ordered a hot chocolate and a mocha - it took around half an hour for these to arrive (we weren’t warned by staff that it would take so long, nor did they apologise for the wait), and the bill in total came to £10. The mocha was fairly good but the hot chocolate was distinctly average, certainly not worth the price. Avoid if you can.

Nice enough place. Nice lady serving us. But those cakes looked great but tasted pretty average. Not unusual for upmarket Pattiserie products in my opinion.. My tea. Nicely served but tasted and smelt like wet newspaper. Couldn’t finish it. Hubbies coffee was ok but not hot enough. Very expensive for something we didn’t really enjoy.

We booked a table last minute, and we loved it! Dolly's is a bustling and fabulous place with delicious afternoon tea. We have been there before, and the coffee shop always provided outstanding service. The staff were so hard working and attentive. Good selection of teas, sandwiches, scones and delicious cakes. Thank you to all team for their professionalism and hard work. We will be back.

I visited This restaurant with my daughter on day out. Never again! The service was appalling despite numerous waitresses all falling over themselves in a small space! They were not welcoming or friendly and we were ushered rudely back out despite 2 tables that were clearly empty. Once seated we waited a very long time for our 1 mint tea and iced coffee, and it only arrived when we chased it up. The place needs fewer waitresses and a good manager to ensure efficiency. Definitely not recommended and does not uphold Selfridge's standards in service.
