I got the boneless kfc and it was disappointing. It wasn’t even fried it came out of an air fryer which was immediately a red flag but i gave them the benefit of the doubt. Flavours were slacking and the chicken was a bit chewy, it was cook from frozen not very fresh at all. You could definitely taste that it cook from frozen. For a small cup of frozen chicken out of the air fryer it was £6-7, most definitely not worth it.

Loved their katsu chicken donburi. Also tried their chicken bbq steamed bun which was lovely and soft. Highly recommended

Been coming here since covid, the food is good and the bowls are delicious. I would reccomend the Chicken Donburi with fried rice. Good portions and friendly staff. Only thing i find an issue is parking. However service is fast so thats a plusnpoint, and price is good, everything is high priced now so cant complain? Cost of living is a crisis.

The bonburi with fried kimchi is out of mind!!!🔥IT WAS SO GOOD!!! The food we ordered were all fantastic. We were dining in around 18ish and had a discount price at the time. Highly recommend Donburi if you love Korean and Japanese cuisine.

Finally an outstanding chicken kutsu curry in Croydon! The food was absolutely delicious and very large portions. I could smell the freshly cut cucumbers from my chicken bibimbap. The lady at the till was really nice and we will definitely go there again.

Donburi has become a little local favourite spot for our family. The staff are extremely friendly, and the food is consistently good. The ingredients are high quality, and the dishes are well-made and well-prepared, we are always satisfied. One small suggestion would be to increase the amount of rice in the bibimbap and donburi dishes. The portions of the non-rice ingredients are generous, but a bit more rice would improve the balance between the ingredients, sauce, and rice. Overall, it's a great place that we love visiting.

Ordered delivery based on good reviews and was sorely disappointed. Had bibimbap and spicy pork dishes, both disappointed significantly compared to anything in new Malden or golders green or even from the city centre. The taste just wasn't there. The fried chicken was from an air fryer and it was ok but nothing to write home about as well. Thus I'd avoid it, though it wasn't bad by any means.

We always order from Donburi since they opened in Croydon but this was our first time dining in. The food is always absolutely amazing! Super tasty and very good portions and quality of ingredients. The staff there is very friendly and polite and our food was ready very quick. Highly recommend!!!

Great food, friendly and fast service

My hubby and I have visited this place on 3 separate occassions and it's been first class each time. The sushi we had on our last visit was so fresh, I would even go as far as to say it was the best I have had in a long time. They have a couple of tables in there and some stools at a counter around the edge of the shop, so you can sit in there for a quick bite to eat. They of course do takeaway too.

Great bibimbap and I have tried dozen across London. Only comment is I wish the egg was fried not omlete.

I stumbled upon this place in 2022 and had the Hirata Buns, and they were amazing. The texture and flavours were fantastic. Passed by them on my way to a funeral yesterday, and I had to make a stop for more. Even after two years, the taste was the same. I highly recommend this place. I live in Dartford but will be taking my kids back there soon. Well done. It's also very clean and the staff are great.

Clean, tidy eatery with facility to take away or have meal seated. Good tasting food & very reasonably priced for what you receive. I had a Bibimbap, kimchi pancake, fried chicken. Very tasty & filling. Staff very friendly. Would eat here again.

Ordered for delivery. Arrived quickly. Had beef donburi and a side of kimchi. Absolutely amazing. Beef was cooked perfectly, the mix of veg in the donburi added great flavour and texture. Will be ordering again.

Excellent food again, on this my second visit. Loved the soft and fluffy Hirata Buns (Chicken BBQ + Need BBQ Steamed Buns). Had the Chicken BBQ Donburi which was also delicious. Top class food presentation, super tasty and served pretty quickly.

I got beef bimbimbap delivered and it was possibly the most delicious thing I've ever eaten. I got it with a side of Kimchi and it hit the spot entirely. Top tip, add a fried egg to it.

The owner was really nice - I commented that the beef bimbap wasn’t spicy enough, she gave me extra portion of spicy beef for free. Taste wise, the bun was quite soft and juicy

I’m sure this place is great if you eat meat, but if you’re vegan or vegetarian, I’d avoid. My food came cold, was described as vegan but was effectively rice with a bit of salad and egg. The veg gyoza I ordered wasn’t veg either. It’s very expensive for what it is and not great they’re sending out the wrong order or advertising things as vegan which aren’t.

Nice service and decent but needs improving. The Takoyaki was ok but was lacking a little bit in flavour and could have been hotter. I also found it strange that the fried kimchi Donburi is served cold, I questioned this but the lady said that it is fried but that is how it’s served. The Kimchi was lovely but seemed just like normal fermented kimchi and not fried at all.

Yummy and affordable, seemed very authentic. Very clean.

Today, we bought spicy pork Bibimbap, Chicken Bbq, KFC, Takoyaki, snow cakes... All sooooo yummy!! No regrets at all. Super delicious healthy food!! Thanks to the lovely owner and his family. The owner even gave us free scrumptious gyozas!! Eve xx

I can’t recommended the food here highly enough. I tried the gyoza, hirata bun and bibimbab and it was all excellent. Superb Korean food - friendly service. Go and enjoy.

My delivery was sent to the wrong address, I tried calling to resolve my issue but they spoke to me extremely rude. Had no time of day and really loved to express their frustrations on the phone to me. I used to always buy food from here but i no longer will, hugely disappointed.

Pricey but you get what you pay for, and the quality of the food here is incredible. Order from here alot on Deliveroo despite the price.

Ordered at the counter and got our meals very quickly after sitting down. So fast, so fresh and very tasty. We tried the Spicy BBQ pork donburi, Beef bibimbap and fried kimchi. We did expect something different to the kimchi when it says fried but think it's actually just means spicier. Will definitely come back and try the other ones ☺️

Really nice flavors and attention to detail. It took about 12 mins to get our food due to a lot of deliveries but the staff were really nice and apologized for taking longer than the 7 minutes they had promised. But to be honest 12 minutes was still very quick and the wait was totally worth it. It made me feel like I was in Asia :)

I do like the place it's good but I do come here most of the time for the sushi.

I had a delicious spicy pork bun and beef bibimbab. I loved the taste of the beef and the rice, vegetables and egg complimented it really well. The customer service was great and friendly, I'll be back again!

Picked up lunch for takeaway. One bibimbap, one donburi. Also had Japanese squid balls, taste like they do in Tokyo. Lovely miso soup. Solid kimchee. Fair price for the quality. The ladies who served me were also lovely. Well done! Will be coming back.

Recommend the spicy pork BBQ donburi and the hirata buns! Really tasty and nice, quick service. We enjoy eating in at the counter too.

Delicious as always. The warm BBQ chicken sushi and the chicken katsu curry are especially good. A well deserved 5*. The katsu portions especially are particularly generous, although I'm sure everyone could always do with more of the curry sauce because it's just so good.

Great food ! We had meal for two. The beef and chicken bibimbab was tasty and spicy. We had also beef hi Tara bun and spicy pork both were amazing . Definitely I will be ordering again in the future.

Excellent food and service!!! It’s such a privilege to have a place like this around the corner in South Croydon. The food is absolutely delicious, tasty and healthy. The delivery is always so well packed and fresh and looking like the chef just brought it to our table. Yesterday my husband and I had the opportunity to meet the team in person when getting our lunch takeaway. The spot is sparkling! Thank you, guys! Food was great! It's not the cheapest food available in the area however they provide value for money. I also appreciated the variety of exotic drinks available.

We ordered via Uber eats the chicken Katsu Curry Donburi, the spicy Pork Donburi, the fried Crispy Veg Gyoza and the Kimchi Pancakes. All tasted really nice, nicer than we thought ! The portions are very generous too. Will definitely order again and visit when restrictions are lifted :)

Went here ages ago. Tried the hirata bun which is deliciously soft and fluffy. As well as buns, their donburi bowls are worth trying. For drinks, there is green tea to offer and some other drinks in the cabinet. Will definitely be ordering from them again in the near future.

Donburi & Co has opened in Croydon last year in August. It is their fourth branch following Brixton, Earlsfield and Spitalfield. They were giving out Hirata buns so I went and grabbed one. You could choose from chicken, beef, spicy pork or fried kimchi so I had the chicken. The giveaway was impressive because you could choose which bun you wanted and the staff were organized so the queue moved fast. My chicken was ready in a flash. The bun was soft and delicious filled with chicken in a creamy sauce which had a nice sweetness. The only improvement would be bun wrappers because it stuck to the bun and perhap a different colour would contrast the buns better. Overall a lovely treat for the afternoon.

Although the food was good, I'm giving two stars as one member of staff (who was packing the food into bags) was not wearing a face shield or mask. A shame because otherwise the service was friendly and the food tasty.
